Die Erfindung betrifft eine Füllmischung für Polster, insbesondere für Polsterkissen für Polstermöbel, welche Mischung aus Federn, vorzugsweise Enten- und/oder Gänsefedern, und Schaumstoffstücken besteht, deren Höhe kleiner als ihre seitlichen Abmessungen ist. Aus der DE-OS 24 18 896 ist bereits eine derartige Mischung bzw. Füllmischung bekannt. Dabei sind Federn und Schaumstoff-Flocken eventuell mit synthetischen Fasern vermischt. Nachteilig ist dabei, dass die Schaumstoff-Flocken aus Abfällen von Schaumstoffen verschnitten werden, so dass sie mit unterschiedlichen Raumgewichten anfallen. Dies führt beim Füllen eines Polsters oder Polsterkissens zu unterschiedlichen Füllungsdichten, die je nach anfallendem Raumgewicht der Schaumstoffstücke nachträglich ausgeglichen werden müssen. Bei geringerem Raumgewicht wird weniger Füllung benötigt, während bei einem hohen Raumgewicht der Schaumstoffstücke eine grössere Füllmenge benötigt wird. Dadurch fallen in nachteiliger Weise solche Polster bzw. Kissen unterschiedlich schwer aus. Darüber hinaus ist der Füllvorgang aufwendig. Dabei haben die Schaumstoffstücke eine längliche Form, so dass sie beim Einfüllen nur schwer gleichmässig verteilt werden können. Darüber hinaus ist ein nachträgliches Aufschütteln eines solchen Polsterkissens schwierig. Darüber hinaus wird auf den zusätzlichen Komfort verzichtet, der sich durch die Einmischung von Enten- und/oder Gänsefedern ergibt, die Unebenheiten der Kunststoff-Schaumstoffstücke ausgleichen können.
