Abstract

The high speed helicopter has a conventional twin rotor and in addition an engine driven propeller (1) mounted either in the nose or at the end of the tail. When the helicopter attains a forward speed of 150 km/hr the rotor is automatically uncoupled from the engine. The helicopter is then supported by the free rotation of the rotor and driven forward by the propeller which is of the variable pitch type. USE/ADVANTAGE - The uncoupling of the rotor enables much higher forward speeds to be attained than with conventional rotor-driven machines.

   BESCHREIBUNG



   Bei einem Helikopter mit gegenläufigen Rotoren sind der Fluggeschwindigkeit Grenzen gesetzt. Um eine wesentlich höhere Geschwindigkeit zu erreichen, betrifft die Erfindung einen Helikopter, der vorne oder hinten am Rumpf mit einem verstellbaren Propeller ausgerüstet ist (1, 2, 3).



  Sobald der Helikopter eine Geschwindigkeit von 150   km/    Std. erreicht hat, werden die Rotoren vom Triebwerk über eine Automatik entkuppelt. Die Rotoren laufen dann im Tragschrauberzustand. Die ganze Leistung des Triebwerkes wird jetzt auf den Propeller übertragen, wodurch eine wesentlich höhere Geschwindigkeit erzielt wird. Bei einer Geschwindigkeit von weniger als 150 km/Std. wird das Gerät vom Tragschrauberzustand wieder als normaler Helikopter geflogen. 



   
 



   DESCRIPTION



   In a helicopter with counter-rotating rotors, the flight speed is limited. In order to achieve a significantly higher speed, the invention relates to a helicopter which is equipped with an adjustable propeller at the front or rear of the fuselage (1, 2, 3).



  As soon as the helicopter has reached a speed of 150 km / h, the rotors are disengaged from the engine via an automatic system. The rotors then run in the autogyro state. The entire power of the engine is now transferred to the propeller, which means that a much higher speed is achieved. At a speed of less than 150 km / h. the device is flown from the gyrocopter state again as a normal helicopter.

PATENTANSPRÜCHE 1. Schnellflug-Helikopter, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass dieser vorne (1, 2) oder hinten (3) mit einem verstellbaren Propeller ausgerüstet ist.  PATENT CLAIMS 1. Fast flight helicopter, characterized in that it is equipped at the front (1, 2) or rear (3) with an adjustable propeller. 2. Schnellflug-Helikopter nach Patentanspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Rotoren über eine Automatik einkuppelbar sind.  2.
