Abstract

The towel, for use by a hairdresser when washing a client's hair, has the shape of an isosceles triangle with the base (1) being longer than either of the two equal sides (2,3). The base (1) has a length which is between 90 and 120 and pref. 116cm. Each of the equal sides (2,3) has a length which is between 70 and 80 cm., pref. 78 cm. The towel is made from terry towelling. USE/ADVANTAGE - Triangular towels can be more easily placed around the client's shoulders, unlike rectangular ones.

   BESCHREIBUNG

   DESCRIPTION

The invention relates to a towel for use in washing hair.

In the hairdressing practice in particular, a rectangular towel is always used when washing hair, which is placed over the customer's shoulder.

However, such a rectangular towel has decisive disadvantages, since on the one hand it is difficult to fasten and accordingly slips off easily and, moreover, it is difficult to adapt to the anatomy of the body.

The object of the invention is to provide a towel which does not have the disadvantages described above.

This object is achieved with a towel according to claim 1.

Due to the triangular shape of the towel, it can be easily placed over the shoulders and attached. The triangular shape favors the adaptation of the towel to the shoulders and can therefore also better protect a person's clothing when washing hair. The triangular shape also improves the hold of such a towel placed over a shoulder, since it allows a more even weight distribution, which weight distribution can be such that 50% of the towel lies on the chest side and 50% on the back side of a person. Furthermore, such a towel also enables better utilization, since when the hair is washed, practically the entire surface of the towel is used and the dead sections which are otherwise customary in the case of rectangular towels are eliminated.

Finally, the towel also has the advantage that there is practically no change in the usual way of working with regard to its handling.

Claim 2 describes particularly advantageous dimensions of the towel.

The towel can consist of different types of fabric, suitably it consists of a terry cloth according to claim 3.

An embodiment of the towel according to the invention is described in more detail below with reference to the drawing, which shows a towel in the floor plan in a single figure.

The towel has the shape of an isosceles triangle, the base line 1 of which is larger than the isosceles sides 2 and 3. In such a towel, the length of the base line is 90 to 120 cm, preferably 116 cm and the length of the isosceles sides is 70 to 80 cm , preferably 78 cm.
