BESCHREIBUNG

DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a vibration-damping leveling element, in particular for furniture and machine feet.
There are leveling elements for footrests which have a screw bolt on which a nut is screwed on and / or is designed as a head screw, the leveling being carried out with the aid of a fork wrench.
This work is extremely tedious because the open-end wrench has to be held only a few millimeters or centimeters above the floor and running parallel to it. The leveling element, e.g. with pieces of furniture set up, often in a place that is difficult to access, the person performing the leveling often has to lie down on the floor or do this work in an otherwise cramped position.
The floor plates from Nivellierele also feature

individual cases is made of a vibration-damping elastomeric material, but there are no precautions to dampen pendulum movements, which is extremely disadvantageous, for example, on a table that carries an implement, be it a typewriter or a computing machine, for example.
The aim of the invention is to remedy the disadvantages mentioned.
The leveling element according to the invention is characterized by the features of claim 1.
The subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings, for example. It shows:
Fig. 1 shows a section through part of a footrest with an inserted vibration-damping leveling element and
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a footrest with two vibration-damping leveling elements.
FIG. 1 shows part of a footrest 1 made of wood. This footrest is penetrated by a hole 17. It can be seen from the drawing that this hole 17 has three cylindrical sections of different diameters. A vibration-damping leveling element 2 is inserted in hole 17. This has a floor support plate 3, which is provided with a non-slip covering 4. The floor support plate 3 is connected to a threaded bolt 5 by a cap screw 6. The threaded bolt 5 can be rotated relative to the base plate 3.
The threaded bolt 5 axially penetrates an inner sleeve 7 with an internal thread 8 and a smooth-walled outer jacket 9. This inner sleeve 7 is supported on the base plate 3 via a spacer 16 in the form of a ring.
This inner sleeve 7 is coaxially surrounded by an outer sleeve 10 with a smooth-walled inner jacket 11 and a smooth-walled outer jacket 12. In the annular space between the two sleeves there is a damping ring 13 made of an elastomeric material, e.g. natural or synthetic rubber. This damping ring 13 is vulcanized on the one hand on the smooth-walled outer jacket 9 of the inner sleeve 7 and on the smooth-walled inner jacket 11 of the outer sleeve 10.
It can be seen from the drawing that the footrest 1 is supported on the outer sleeve 10 and only on this via a shoulder 18 present in the hole 17.
The upper end of the threaded bolt 5 has an actuator 14 for rotating the same. This actuator 14 is equipped in the embodiment shown with two pins 15 for receiving an adjusting crank of known design. Such actuators, including the adjusting crank, are very often used on tables for carrying an implement, in which further parts can be adjusted, for example on tables carrying computing machines. Obviously, the actuator 14 can also be a triangle, square or hexagon, etc., which can be operated by means of a socket wrench.
There may also be, for example, a hexagon socket for use with an Allen key. The threaded bolt 5 is now accessible through an access provided in the top of the foot piece 1, which is formed by the uppermost section 19 of the hole 17.
It is therefore obvious that the leveling element 2 is accessible for leveling from above and thus this work can be carried out in a much more comfortable position than with the previous elements.
The footrest is only supported on the outer sleeve 10, which outer sleeve 10 is only supported over the damping ring 13 by the inner sleeve 7, which is supported on the base plate 3. The damping ring 13 now not only dampens vibrations occurring in the vertical direction, but also dampens all possible vibrations composed of vertical and horizontal components, which are known to be elliptical vibrations, and also dampens pendulum movements, so that any vibration movement of the footrest 1 with respect to the floor support plate 3 is damped.
The spacer 16 ensures that only the inner sleeve 7 is supported on the floor support plate 3 and that no contact can occur between the floor support plate 3 and the outer sleeve 10 or even the underside of the footrest 1, in which case the damping ring 13 could not come into effect.
FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of a footrest 1 with two vibration-damping leveling elements 2. The footrest 1 has a first leg section 23, a second leg section 24 and a middle part 25, in which middle part 25 a hole 26 for receiving, for example, a table leg (not shown). In the case of the first leg section 23 on the left in the figure, the hole 17 is indicated, in which the insulation and leveling element 2 is arranged. Next to the hole 17 there is a circular bubble 20, which allows precise leveling. At the outermost end of the first leg section 23, a protective flap 22 is articulated, which protective flap 22 can be pivoted in the direction of arrow A in order to protect the hole 17 and the circular bubble 20.
The protective flap 22 made of a metal is locked in the closed position by means of a permanent magnet 21, which is also arranged in the first leg section 23.
The hole 17, which is not visible in the second leg section 24, is closed by a ball 27, which ball 27 is equipped with, for example, a resilient sleeve (not shown) which is inserted into the hole and thus holds the ball 27 in place. The form of training of the footrest shown can be carried out, but alternatively, only such a terminating ball 27 can also be present in the first leg section 23, there being no circular bubble 20 and the protective flap 22 including the permanent magnets 21 would not be present.
The vibration-damping leveling element is especially designed for furniture and machine feet. However, can also be e.g. use for pipe and sewer suspensions.
