BESCHREIBUNG
DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a clamping bracket according to the preamble of independent claim 1 and a tool for tensioning the clamping bracket according to the preamble of claim 2.
Various types of clamps have become known. These are often designed to clamp a hose to a pipe. Because of this use, it is imperative that the bracket has the smoothest possible inner surface for resting on the hose in order to compress it from all sides.
A clamping bracket provided with a toggle lever lock is described, for example, in CH-A 389 343 and 396 537. The adjustability of both clamp brackets was considered important and little or no attention was paid to the even support on the hose.
In a later form of a clamping bracket according to CH-A 594 821, a band which is at least simply wrapped around the point to be tied is put through a band clamp and by supporting this band clamp with a drawing tool, for example according to CH-A 620 852, the steel band can be tight Tightened tightly and the strap end is held in place with tabs after folding around the teeth of the strap clamp. By passing the inner end of the band under the band clamp, there is only a minimal, roughly corresponding thickness of the steel band to the base, which is also not harmful.
Prefabricated clamping clamps have recently come onto the market, in which a steel band is looped at least twice through a loop-like holding member.
The inner end of the band is folded around the holding member. Here too, the diameter of the strap is reduced to the desired size by pulling on the outer end of the strap until the inner surface of the strap fits snugly against the hose. Here it has been shown that the step which is formed by the folding is harmful for a good seal.
The object of the invention is accordingly to provide a clamping bracket in which there is no harmful internal gradation and furthermore to create a tool with which this bracket can be reduced to the point of contact with the body thus encompassed and the protruding outer band end can be separated.
According to the invention this is achieved by the features in the characterizing part of independent claim 1. A tool for tensioning this clamping bracket is specified in claim 2.
An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing:
1 shows an elevation of a tool for tensioning the strap of a strap with an inserted, partially drawn strap and with a clamping device shown in section and
Figure 2 is a plan view of a clamping bracket with a tape roll and a loop-like holding member.
According to FIG. 1, the tool 1 consists of a supporting part 7, a belt holding device 2, a threaded spindle 3, a spindle nut 4 on a crank 5 and a clamping device 6.
The support part 7 is a U-shaped element with a piece 70 at one end and the clamping device 6 at the other.
The threaded spindle 3 is rotatably guided in the support frame 70.
A pressure bearing 71 is located between the spindle nut 4 and the support bracket 70, in order to be able to turn the spindle nut 4 more easily when a force is exerted when pulling the band 8.
The tape holding device 2 consists essentially of a holding body 20 with a groove 21 for receiving the outer tape end 81. A lever 23, which is rotatably mounted on an axis of rotation 22, is provided with a pressing arm 24 projecting into the groove 21, the outer surface of which for increasing the friction the band 8 can be grooved, roughened or edged. The threaded spindle 3 is fastened in the tape holding device 2 by means of a pin 25. By turning the crank 5, the spindle nut 4 is screwed onto the threaded spindle 3. After their contact on the thrust bearing 71, the band holding device 2 is pulled against the support frame 70.
The clamping device 6 with a knife part 60 with a knife edge 61 and a guide part 62 with a through-channel 63 is located on the lower part of the support part 7. The guide part 62 is U-shaped.
Between the two legs 64, of which only the one at the rear is shown, a pivot lever 65 is rotatably mounted on a bearing pin 66. The pivot lever 65 is provided with a holding edge 67 on its part opposite the knife edge 61.
Furthermore, a press lever 68 with a rolling head 69 having a rolling surface 69a is rotatably mounted in said U-shaped guide part 62.
The clamping bracket 8 according to FIG. 2 consists of a steel strip wound into a coil. The inner band end 82 is deformed at a short distance from the interface 83 to form an elongated recess 84. This recess 84 has approximately the same length in the longitudinal direction of the band as the width of a holding member or a loop 85 which holds the winding together. The outer end of the tape can protrude, as shown, or it can rest against the winding for the time being.
After the winding 8 has been applied to a hose or the like, the outer band end 81 is pushed through the channel 63 between the knife part 60 and the guide part 62 and clamped in the groove 21 in the band holding device 2 by means of the pressing arm 24. By turning the crank 5, the spindle nut 4 screws onto the threaded spindle 3 and finally pulls the tape holding device 2 towards the support frame 70.
As soon as the clamping bracket 8 fits snugly and with sufficient pressure on the hose, the loop 85 is clamped between the knife part 60 and the holding edge 67 of the pivoting lever, and by actuating the pressing lever 68, the loop 85 presses the innermost part of the outer band end 81 against the knife edge 81, thereby the outer band end 81 is cut off.
