Abstract

An absorbent paper is moistened. Colour pigments finely dispersed in water are applied, while the paper is exposed to an ambient temperature of 0 DEG C to -5 DEG C. Finally, the frosted structure on the paper is fixed by drying at temperatures below 0 DEG C. The rate of the continuous colour application should be adapted to the freezing process. The patterned papers obtained can be used as reproduction originals for decorating the most diverse objects.

   PATENTANSPRÜCHE

   PATENT CLAIMS
1. A process for the production of colored patterned paper, the patterns of which have an ice flower structure, characterized in that an absorbent paper is moistened and that colored pigments are applied to it in water, while the paper is exposed to an ambient temperature of OOC to -5 C, and that the ice flower structure is finally fixed on the paper by drying at temperatures below O "C.

   2. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the speed of the continuous color application is adapted to the freezing process.

   3. Use of the patterned paper produced according to claim 1 as a reproduction template.

The invention relates to the method defined in claim 1.

An absorbent watercolor paper or similar absorbent paper is moistened; finely dispersed color pigments are applied to it while the paper is exposed to an ambient temperature of OOC to -5 ° C. The speed of the continuous color application should be adapted to the freezing process. This process produces colored ice crystals that correspond to the nature of the paper, which are distributed ornamental in a variety of forms on the paper. The paper must be left at temperatures below 0 "C until completely dry so that the ice flower structure is retained on the paper.

The patterned paper obtained can serve as a template for phototechnical or computer-technical reproductions, usable, for example, in the paper industry (for writing paper, place mats, napkins, paper handkerchiefs, Christmas paper, wallpaper, decorative paper, household paper, toilet paper, carrier bags, packaging paper, cupboard paper, etc.) or Textile industry (for fabric prints, curtains, cloth napkins, handkerchiefs, tablecloths, sheets, blankets and pillowcases, clothing fabrics, kitchen towels, bath towels, women's underwear, women's blouses, women's skirts and jupes, women's stockings etc.) or for lighting (as lamp covers), also as Decor on cooling devices (such as freezers, cool boxes, refrigerators) or as decor on refrigerated transport trolleys.
