La presente invenzione ha per oggetto un dispositivo per regolare il tensionamento del punto sopraggitto in una macchina per cucire, in particolare in una macchina per cucire di tipo industriale formante il punto stesso con due o tre fili. The present invention relates to a device for adjusting the tension of the overcast stitch in a sewing machine, in particular in an industrial type sewing machine forming the stitch itself with two or three threads.

Come è noto, le macchine per cucire di tipo industriale comprendono, tra l'altro, una placca ago fissata al piano di cucitura, e con esso a medesimo livello, la quale è attraversata dalle griffe di trascinamento del tessuto. La placca ago presenta, oltre agli intagli per le griffe, anche un'asola aperta nella quale si inserisce l'ago. Questa asola è parzialmente delimitata da una linguetta di bordo, in corrispondenza della quale operano anche gli elementi che oltre all'ago cooperano alla formazione di un punto sopraggitto: un crochet superiore ed un crochet inferiore, almeno uno dei quali dotato di filo. Particolarmente rilevante è la funzione della citata linguetta della placca ago. La stessa, infatti, sostituisce e simula il tessuto quando lo stesso non è presente, evitando che i punti formati nelle fasi di avanzamento e di fine lavoro delle macchine per cucire portino ad un aggrovigliamento dei fili tale da richiedere l'intervento di un operatore. Il punto sopraggitto si forma infatti a cavallo della linguetta e la stessa con la sua sagoma troncoconica permette un agevole scarico o sfilatura dei punti formati. Inoltre, ed anzi soprattutto, la detta linguetta determina, con le sue dimensioni, il tensionamento finale del punto sopraggitto sul tessuto in fase di cucitura. Infatti, quasi tutti i tessuti possiedono almeno un certo grado di sofficità e deformabilità e pertanto quando gli stessi vengono direttamente avvolti dal punto sopraggitto, quest'ultimo li tensiona localmente, accartocciandoli parzialmente e determinando una serie di avvallamenti e rigonfiamenti. La presenza della linguetta, che viene avvolta dal punto sopraggitto unitamente al tessuto soprastante, riduce questo fenomeno in quanto il punto sopraggitto risulta formato con un'ampiezza superiore a quella della porzione di tessuto in fase di lavorazione. Ne deriva che, una volta scaricato dalla linguetta, il punto sopraggitto non tensiona in modo evidente il tessuto, creando le dette irregolarità superficiali. In fact, almost all fabrics have at least a certain degree of softness and deformability and therefore when they are directly wrapped by the overcasting point, the latter tension them locally, partially curling them and causing a series of depressions and swellings. The presence of the tongue, which is wrapped around the overcasting stitch together with the overlying fabric, reduces this phenomenon since the overcasting stitch is formed with an amplitude greater than that of the portion of fabric being processed. It follows that, once unloaded from the tongue, the overcasting point does not clearly tension the fabric, creating these surface irregularities.

Va notato che non sussiste generalmente il pericolo di creare dei punti laschi o troppo ampi, per la presenza della citata linguetta. Infatti da una parte il tessuto viene parzialmente schiacciato e serrato, durante la cucitura, tra la placca ago e la piastra ausiliaria, detta anche «piedino», dall'altra parte i fili che formano il punto sono almeno parzialmente elastici e si tendono durante la cucitura. Ne deriva che dopo la fase di cucitura i fili tendono ad assumere la lunghezza iniziale, restringendosi. La tendenza del tessuto a dilatarsi e quella del filo a restringersi, dopo la cucitura, sono tali da rendere necessario un attento dimensionamento della citata linguetta. Questa deve avere dimensioni proporzionate al tessuto in lavorazione e tanto maggiori, almeno in spessore, quanto maggiore è la sofficità e l'altezza del tessuto in fase di cucitura. Pertanto ogni variazione delle dimensioni della linguetta, in funzione del tessuto in fase di cucitura, comporta la sostituzione di tutta la placca ago, con i costi conseguenti. La placca ago è relativamente complessa anche perchè è solidale ad un elemento di taglio, quello fisso, previsto per refilare il tessuto prima della cucitura. La stessa presenza di questo elemento di taglio impedisce praticamente di rendere amovibile ed intercambiabile la linguetta, dato che non esiste sulla placca ago spazio a sufficienza per degli elementi di connessione amovibili. D'altro canto va anche notato che quando i tessuti sono molto spessi e soffici la citata linguetta risulta insufficiente ad evitare il detto tensionamento irregolare, anche se la stessa è realizzata con ampie dimensioni. Ciò si deve, tra l'altro, al fatto che la presenza delle griffe e dei vari organi connessi alla placca ago impediscono un eccessivo sovradimensionamento della linguetta. Complessivamente, pertanto, la tecnica attuale è relativamente insoddisfacente sia per l'esigenza di dover sostituire un elemento relativamente complesso come la placca ago ad ogni minima variazione dello spessore del tessuto da cucire, sia per il fatto che comunque i tessuti particolarmente spessi e soffici vengono tendenzialmente troppo tensionati quando sugli stessi viene eseguito il punto sopraggitto, con conseguenti effetti estetici negativi proprio in corrispondenza dei bordi, vale a dire delle parti di tessuto più in vista. Come già detto, questa situazione negativa non è rimediabile rendendo intercambiabile la detta linguetta ed inoltre l'amovibilità della stessa è fonte di seri problemi tecnici, in relazione alla struttura della placca ago. Questi scopi ed altri ancora che meglio appariranno in seguito sono sostanzialmente raggiunti da un dispositivo per regolare il tensionamento del punto sopraggitto in una macchina per cucire del tipo comprendente una placca ago attraversata da griffe di trascinamento del tessuto e dotata di una linguetta atta ad essere avvolta dal punto sopraggitto, unitamente al tessuto soprastante, e comprendente una piastra ausiliaria sostenuta da una barra premi stoffa e disposta al di sopra del tessuto e di detta placca ago, detto dispositivo caratterizzandosi per il fatto che la detta piastra ausiliaria è dotata di una appendice simile alla detta linguetta e sovrapposta alla stessa in modo atto ad essere avvolta dal punto sopraggitto, unitamente al tessuto ed alla detta linguetta. La placca ago 2 è evidenziata in figura 2 ed è di tipo di per sè noto. Essa è dotata di una pluralità di intagli 6 nei quali si inseriscono delle griffe 7 per il trascinamento del tessuto 8 (fig. 4). La placca ago 2 è solidale ad una lama fissa 9 in corrispondenza della quale agisce una lama mobile 10, anch'essa di per sè nota. Adiacente alla lama fissa 9 è prevista una linguetta 11 di sagoma troncoconica e parzialmente delimitante un'asola 12 nella quale si inserisce un ago 13. Quest'ultimo, in cooperazione con un crochet superiore 14 ed un crochet inferiore 15, forma un punto sopraggitto a due o tre fili, a seconda che il crochet superiore 14 sia dotato o privo di filo. In figura 4 l'ago 13, il crochet superiore 14 ed il crochet inferiore 15 sono tutti dotati di fili rispettivamente 13A, 14A, 15A. La previsione di una nuova appendice 18 in corrispondenza dell'apertura 17 permette un completo controllo dei punti in formazione ed uno scarico graduato degli stessi. Inoltre l'amovibilità dell'appendice 18 rende il dispositivo immediatamente ed economicamente adattabile a qualunque tipo di tessuto. L'operazione di sostituzione dell'appendice 18 può essere eseguita anche da personale non specializzato. 1. Device for adjusting the tension of the overcast stitch in a sewing machine, a machine of the type comprising a needle plate (2) crossed by feed jaws (7) of the fabric (8) and equipped with a tab (11) suitable for being wound from the overcasting stitch, together with the fabric (8) above it and comprising an auxiliary plate (4) supported by a cloth pressing bar (5) and arranged above the fabric (8) and said needle plate (2), said device being characterized in that the said auxiliary plate (4) is provided with an appendage (18) similar to the said tab (11) and superimposed on the same in such a way as to be wound from the overcasting point, together with the fabric (8) and the said tongue (11).

Device according to claim 1, characterized in that said appendix (18) is engaged to said auxiliary plate (4) by means of removable connection elements (19).

Device according to claim 2, characterized in that said appendix (18) is engaged to said auxiliary plate (4) by means of a screw (19).

Device according to claim 2, characterized in that said appendix (18) is provided in a plurality of dimensions, so as to vary the amplitude of the overcasting stitch according to the fabric (8) being worked.

Device according to claim 1, characterized in that said auxiliary plate (4) comprises an oblique portion (20), by invitation, consecutive to said appendix (18) and adapted to favor the advancement of the fabric (8) and the discharge of the point.
