Description
The invention relates to a particulate filter insert, according to the preamble of claim 1 and a method for its production.
The high-quality particulate filters used to separate suspended matter from an air or gas stream are made from cellulose-asbestos or glass fiber papers. These papers are very soft and therefore very sensitive to stresses of a mechanical nature or caused by the flow. The large filter paper surfaces are accommodated in the smallest possible space by means of a zigzag-shaped fold. The uniform spacing of the fold surfaces necessary for the flow of the air or gas flow is achieved by spacers. The spacers should also keep mechanical loads away from the filter paper.
A known filter insert, in particular for gas filters, contains a lengthwise zigzag filter material.
The folds of the paper strip forming the filter surface lie at parallel distances from one another. In order to maintain this distance and to keep the area spacing even when there is a flow load, longitudinal beads, consisting of strips or lines of adhesive, run linearly and at right angles to the direction of the folds over the filter surface at a distance of a few centimeters. Any adhesive that solidifies after application can be used as the adhesive. When producing a filter insert, the filter paper strip is first pre-folded and then spread out again in order to apply the adhesive beads on its surface. After the longitudinal beads have been applied, the filter paper strip is restored to its original fold lines and the folds are compressed to the required distance. This process is carried out before the adhesive has completely solidified.
The disadvantage is the compression of the entire fold package to its desired length. This in no way ensures that the distance between the individual pleat surfaces, as is necessary for fluidic reasons, and that the distance between the pleats is the same. In addition, it should hardly be possible to achieve the compression precisely at a certain point in time when the then existing consistency of the adhesive is everywhere so uniform and correct that a compact pleat package is created at all and, above all, the sensitive filter material does not get through Pressing too hard will be dangerously damaged (DE-PS 1 121 438).
In a known suspended matter filter pack for air or gas cleaning made of filter paper folded in a zigzag shape, continuous beads or cords of rectangular cross-section and a height equal to half the fold spacing are used on both sides of the filter paper and serve to fix the folds and the spacer. The beads are made of adhesive material, such as pasty, filled polyvinyl acetate polymer or curable polyester paste. They are applied to a pre-folded and stretched paper web by means of nozzles. After the paper web has been folded again, the beads are melted and hardened into rigid webs without a dividing line by means of heat, ultrasound or infrared radiation or by polymerization in the folds of the filter paper on both sides over the entire length of the contacting contact surfaces. The disadvantage is that in the case of filter packs with a larger pleat height, the melting and hardening encounter difficulties because the introduction of the necessary energy is difficult to control from the outside. Elaborate special facilities are required. In addition, during the fusing, the beads do not offer any hold of the folds and thus also fold surfaces to one another. The length of the filter pack must therefore be supported. Nevertheless, there is no guarantee that the fold spacing will be the same and the same everywhere (DE-AS 2 138 412).
The object of the invention is a suspended matter filter insert made of folded suspended matter filter material with spacers for the pleated surfaces and the pleats, which are easy to apply, securing the pleated spacing, covering the filter material surfaces as little as possible and a method for its production.
The object is achieved by means of a suspended matter filter insert according to the characterizing part of claim 1 and those in claims 3 and 4 for a method for producing such a suspended matter filter insert.
The decisive advantage of this invention lies in the simple manner in which the suspended particle filter insert is not only safe, but also economically producible with complicated equipment without large investments.

The sprayed-on plastic beads as spacers made of the tough elastic material allow them to be refolded safely without damaging the sensitive particulate filter material. The glued upper edges of the spacers create a manageable particle filter insert. The firm consistency of the spacers before refolding with a loosened or glued top edge guarantees the same fold surface and fold spacing.
Es zeigen The process for producing a particulate filter insert is shown in the drawing and is described below. Show it

Fig. 2 den gefalteten Schwebstoffiltereinsatz im Schnitt. The suspended matter filter material 1 pre-folded by the folding machine is spread out again. The folded edges 2 are at a distance 3 from one another which determines the height of the folds. Colored markings 4 at the end of every second folded edge 2 serve to control the device. The lines 4 are controlled by nozzles
Longitudinal beads 5 of predetermined length 6 sprayed symmetrically to the folded edges 2. Its length 6 results from the respective pleat height 7. Together with the spacing 8 of the longitudinally parallel longitudinal beads 5, it ensures that the spacings (11) of the pleated surfaces 9 and the pleated spacings 14 are secured in the finished particulate filter insert. The distance 8 is preferably 30 mm.
The height 10 of the longitudinal beads 5 corresponds to half the distance 11 of the pleated surfaces 9 in the suspended particle filter insert. During the hardening process of the longitudinal beads 5, the suspended matter filter material 1 is kept flat. The longitudinal beads 5 made of PVC, ABS and similar pastes harden tough and elastic. Before the HEPA filter material 1 is folded back together to insert the HEPA filter, the upper edges 12 of the longitudinal beads 5 are slightly dissolved by a solvent applied with rollers 13 and the folds are then moved together immediately. They are pressed against each other up to the stop and under slight pressure until the opposing longitudinal beads 5 of the respective neighboring folds are glued together.
