PATENTANSPRÜCHE

PATENT CLAIMS
1. Horse box with a sliding door (1), which is provided with a pivotally mounted pawl (8) which engages automatically when the door is closed on the door jamb (3), characterized by a spring (13) holding the pawl (8) in the latched position and a pusher pin (10) articulated on it, displaceable in a plane perpendicular to the direction of displacement of the door, for releasing the pawl (8), which in the closed door position engages behind an opening (14) in the door jamb (3), at least the free end of the pusher pin is slidably guided in a sleeve (12) from which it does not protrude.
2. Horse box according to claim 1, characterized in that the pivot axis (7) of the pawl is arranged vertically and the pusher pin (10) is horizontally displaceable.
3. horse stalls according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the spring (13) is a pusher spring surrounding the pusher pin (10) which loads a pusher button (1 1) arranged at the free end of the pin.
4. horse stallion according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the sleeve (12) has an opening with a front, to make the pusher pin (10) accessible, the width of which is measured transversely to the direction of displacement, at most 6 cm and preferably is at most 4 cm.
The present invention relates to a horse box with a sliding door, which is provided with a pivotable latch that automatically engages when the door is closed on the post.
With such horse stalls, there are three things to watch out for: First, there must be no protruding parts that could injure a horse, second, the latch must be designed so that it is not possible for a horse to release it, and third, this latch device should be designed so that it can be opened easily by the horse keeper. The object of the present invention is to optimally fulfill these conditions, but at the lowest possible cost.
This is achieved according to the invention by means of a spring holding the pawl in the latched position and a pusher pin articulated on it which can be displaced in a plane perpendicular to the direction of displacement of the door for releasing the pawl, which engages behind an opening in the door jamb in the closed door position, at least the free end the actuating pin is slidably guided in a sleeve from which it does not protrude.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is described below with reference to a drawing. The only figure in the drawing shows a horizontal section through the door jamb and part of the sliding door, just above the handle.
The sliding door designated as a whole with 1 can stand on wheels or be suspended on wheels or be displaceably mounted and guided by any other means known per se that are not shown in the drawing. To open it can be moved in the direction of arrow 2. In the closed position, it stands against the door jamb 3. The sliding door has a frame leg 4 at the post-side end. A profile piece 5 is welded onto this on the inside of the box, in which a bearing 6 is attached for the pawl 8 which can be pivoted about the axis 7. A horizontally displaceable pusher pin 10 is articulated on the pawl 8 by means of an axis 9 and is provided with a pusher button 11 at its free end.
This button 11 is slidably guided in a sleeve 12 firmly inserted in the door leg 4, the length of the handle pin being such that the button 11 does not protrude beyond the sleeve 12 even in its outermost position, in which it is shown in the drawing
A coil spring 13, which surrounds the pusher pin 10, holds the movable parts in the position shown in the figure, in which the pawl 8 engages behind the opening 14 in the door jamb 3. The spring 13 is supported at one end on the push button 11 and at the other end on the frame leg 4. To release, press the button 11 into the sleeve 12.
The part of the sleeve opening containing the button 11 and in particular its front opening has a width measured transversely to the direction of displacement of the pin 10, i.e. a clear width of at most 6 cm and preferably at most 4 cm, which means that the pusher pin can be easily operated with one finger, but that it is not possible for a horse to have any kind of head impact on it. It does not matter whether the button 11 has a round, square or rectangular shape. When the pusher pin 10 has pivoted the pawl 8, it can exit from the opening 14 of the door jamb, i.e. the sliding door can be moved in the direction of arrow 2.
In the reverse movement, the pawl 8 snaps in as soon as the door is in the closed position.
The preferably circular segment-shaped protective tab 15 attached at the height of the pawl 8 prevents an animal from being injured on the pawl when entering the box or from getting caught there with any crockery parts.
