Fig. 1 einen Vertikalschnitt durch die Kniehebelpresse,
Fig. 3 eine perspektivische Darstellung der Kniehebelpresse.

3. toggle press according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the pivot bearing shells (16), in which the bearing pins (12) of the toggle lever (4, 11) are supported during the pressing process and from which the bearing pins for the purpose of opening the mold cover ( 15) can be removed.
4. toggle press according to claim 3, characterized in that on the frame (1) stops (17) are present, on which the longer toggle arms (4) rest after unhooking from the pivot bearing (16) and which serve as a pivot axis for ejecting the compact .
The invention relates to a manually operated toggle press, in particular for compressing building materials.
Presses for the production of building blocks or the like are already known, which operate with a motor drive or even fully automatically. Although such machines have a high production, they are relatively expensive, so that they can only be used to a limited extent, for example, in developing countries.
The object of the invention is to achieve a simple press, in particular for the production of earth blocks or the like, which is easy to transport, not prone to failure and cheap.
This object is achieved by the features mentioned in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown. Show it:
1 is a vertical section through the toggle press,
2 is a side view in section through the toggle press,
Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the toggle press.
The toggle lever press is primarily intended for the compression of building materials, in particular for the production of earth blocks which are mixed with a hardening agent such as cement or the like.
The toggle press comprises a frame 1 consisting of metal and having four supports, which is welded to a base plate 1. The actual press room 9 is laterally delimited by walls 3 and is closed at the top by a molded cover 15. The lower limit of the press chamber 9 forms a height-adjustable press plate 8, which is provided with vertical guide columns 7, which are guided up and down in sleeves, so that the press plate 8 can perform a parallel displacement to itself. A press plate arm 6 is connected to the press plate 8, in which a pin 5 of a pair of toggle levers engages.
Each toggle lever contains a longer arm 4, which is provided at the top with a joint 10, from which a shorter arm 11 projects. The other end of this shorter toggle lever arm 11 is connected to a bearing pin 12 which is received by a bearing shell 16. The bearing shell 16 has a circumference that is less than semicircular, so that the bearing pin 12 can be easily detached upwards.
A hand lever 13 is connected to the bearing journal 12 in a rotationally fixed connection, with which an approximately quarter-circular movement can be carried out in order to be able to compact onto the material to be pressed located inside the press chamber 9. The hand lever 13 is preferably designed to be removable. The molded cover 15 is pivotally mounted about a horizontal axis and can be locked in the closed position with the aid of a locking device 18.
If the compressed compact is to be removed from the press chamber 9, this molded cover 15 can be pivoted upward, so that the entire cross-sectional area of the press chamber is exposed. The bearing pin 12 is then unhooked from the bearing shell 16 and the longer arm 4 is brought to bear against a stop 17 on the frame.
As a result, the press plate 8 can be moved upwards using the rod 13 and the compact can be pushed out of the press chamber.
The operation of this toggle press is as follows: the material to be pressed is filled into the pressing chamber 9 when the mold cover 15 is pivoted back, after which the mold cover is closed and locked. Then the bearing pin 12 of the toggle lever is brought into engagement with the bearing shell 16, the hand lever 13 initially projecting approximately vertically upwards. By pivoting this hand lever 13 in the direction of arrow A, the short toggle arm 11 rotates upward, taking the long toggle arm 4 with it. This in turn presses the press plate 8 upwards over the press plate arm 6 and thereby compresses the pressed material inside the press chamber 9. In the initial state according to FIG. 1, the two toggle lever arm pairs 4 and 11 form a relatively large angle of approximately 90 to one another.
With increasing pivoting of the hand lever in the direction of arrow A, this angle is reduced and thereby a force transmission takes place, so that the maximum force is exerted on the material to be pressed towards the end of the pressing process. The stroke thus corresponds approximately to the distance between the pivot points of the short toggle lever arm 11.
In addition to compressing building materials, such a toggle press could also be used to compress other materials or to juice fruit.
