PATENTANSPRÜCHE

2. Handle knob according to claim 1, characterized in that a with the jacket of the thermometer (2) and with the handle part (1) connected to the guide ring (3) has an external thread (3a) which is in an internal thread of a with the suction cup (5) connected ring (4) engages so that the bottom of the thermometer (2) by pressing the handle part (1) can be pressed against the surface of the lid (7).
3. Handle button according to claim 1, characterized in that the suction cup (5) with the handle part (1) is rigidly connected, and that the with the jacket of the thermometer (2) connected guide ring (3) is axially displaceable in the handle part (1) that a prestressed coil spring (9) is also arranged between the handle part (1) and the guide ring (3), which strives to press the guide ring (3) with the thermometer (2) against a lower stop (11).
4. Handle button according to claim 3, characterized in that the suction cup (5) in addition to an outwardly directed sealing lip (5a) has a second, inwardly directed sealing lip (5b).
The invention relates to a detachable handle knob according to the preamble of claim 1.
Pan lids with handle knobs are already known which have a built-in bimetal thermometer which indicates the cooking temperature. However, these known handle knobs are screwed to the lid and cannot be removed by the housewife. The thermometer is therefore subject to the periodic load of cleaning in the dishwasher.
Knobs for pan lids are also known, which can be easily attached to and removed from the lid at any time. These knobs are equipped with a suction cup. However, it was previously not possible to equip grip buttons with a suction cup with a thermometer. The reason for this is that the middle part of the suction cup lifts up again from the surface on which it was pressed. If the middle part of the suction cup is now formed by the bottom of a support thermometer, it is not in contact with the surface of the pan lid when the suction cup is adhering, as a result of which the heat transfer is greatly impaired.
It is therefore an object of the invention to design a handle knob that has a suction cup as a fastening element in such a way that a built-in support thermometer is pressed onto the surface of a cover when the suction cup is sucked tight. The contact pressure is also intended to increase the negative pressure in the vacuum space of the suction cup in order to improve its adhesive strength.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the training according to the characterizing part of patent claim 1.
The dependent claims describe advantageous embodiments of the subject matter of the invention.
Two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the drawing. Show it:
1 and 2 an axial section through a first embodiment of a half of a detachable handle knob in two positions and
3 and 4 a same axial section through a second embodiment of a detachable handle knob.
The handle knob according to FIGS. 1 and 2 has a handle part 1 made of plastic on which the upper part of a support thermometer 2 known per se encloses and is firmly connected to its jacket, for. B. is glued. With the lower part of the jacket of the thermometer 2, a guide ring 3 is firmly connected. This has an external thread 3a, in which an internal thread of a ring 4 engages, which is firmly connected to the rubber part of a suction cup 5.
By turning the handle part 1, the thermometer 2 can thus be axially displaced relative to the suction cup 5. A flange 3b on the guide ring 3 prevents the guide ring 3 from being completely unscrewed from the ring 4. An O-ring 6 acting as a seal seals the rings 3 and 4 against one another
The handle knob is shown placed on a cover 7, only partially shown, for a cooking pan. Fig. 1 shows the position of the handle knob, in which the thermometer is in its highest position relative to the suction cup 5, in which the flange 3b rests on the ring 4.
In this position, the handle button was pressed onto the surface of the lid 7 and then released. There is now a vacuum in space 8 under the suction cup 5 and under the bottom of the thermometer 2, so that the handle button adheres to the surface of the lid. However, since the bottom of the thermometer does not touch the lid surface, there is no perfect heat transfer from the lid 7 to the thermometer 2.
By turning the handle part 1, the thermometer can now be brought into contact with the cover 7 according to FIG. 2. The ring 4 is raised slightly, whereby the vacuum in the room 8 is increased somewhat. The adhesiveness of the suction cup 5 is thereby improved, and the heat transfer between the cover 7 and the thermometer 2 is flawless.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the suction cup 5 is firmly connected to the handle part 1. In addition to the usual outwardly projecting sealing lip 5a, the suction cup 5 has a second, inwardly projecting sealing lip 5b. A vacuum is thus only generated in the annular space 8 when the handle button is pressed on. The thermometer 2 is firmly connected to a guide ring 3 and this is axially displaceably mounted in the handle part 1. The guide ring 3 has an outwardly projecting flange 3b. In the space 10 between the handle part 1 and the guide ring 3 there is a prestressed helical spring 9 which tends to press the guide ring 3 downwards against a stop ring 11 (FIG. 3).
Fig. 3 shows the handle button when placed on the lid 7 before pressing, while Fig. 4 shows the handle button after pressing on the lid in the sucked state. There is now a vacuum in the annular space 8. The bottom of the thermometer 2 is now pressed by the spring 9 onto the surface of the lid 7, which ensures perfect heat transfer. Due to the spring pressure on the handle part 1, the suction cup 5 is also pushed up, whereby the vacuum in the annular space 8 increases somewhat.
By using a suction cup 5 with an inner sealing lip Sb it is avoided that additional sealing means have to be arranged between the guide ring 3 and the handle part 1.
