Description

Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein einfaches Verfahren und eine einfache Vorrichtung zur Handhabung von Säcken, insbesondere Papiersäcken, zu schaffen, wodurch die Gefahr einer Rissbildung im Sackmaterial weitgehend beseitigt wird und sich die volle Belastbarkeit der Säk-ke besser ausnutzen lässt. Diese Aufgabe wird durch ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung gelöst, welche in den Ansprüchen 1 und 4 angegeben sind und wobei der Sack mit einem die Handhabung erleichternden Mittel versehen und mittels eines Hebezeuges gehandhabt wird. Bei der erfindungsgemässen Handhabung der Säcke, also in erster Linie bei der Handhabung von Papiersäcken, wird die straffgezogene Öffnung des gefüllten Sackes so oft um einen als Handhabungsmittel dienenden Versteifungsstreifen mit einer etwa der Breite des gefüllten Sackes entsprechenden Länge gewickelt, dass der Versteifungsstreifen und die um diesen gewickelte Sacköffnung beim Einführen in eine aufwärts gerichtete Rille des Hebezeuges diese in ihrer Breite ausfüllt. Wenn der Sack mittels des Hebezeuges gehoben werden soll, wird die um den Versteifungsstreifen 12 gewickelte Sacköffnung 11 6o in die aufwärtsgerichtete Rille 17 eingeführt, wobei der Öffnungswulst in die Rille hinuntergezogen und während des Anhebens darin fixiert gehalten wird. Um eine wirksame Verriegelung zu ermöglichen, hat die Rille 17 eine Breite, die nur wenig grösser ist als die gesamte Dicke des Verstei-65 fungsstreifens 12 und der darum gewickelten Sacköffnung 11.
