Description

The invention relates to a device according to the preamble of claim 1. Such a device is known from US-PS 3492426. A similar device for transmitting alarm signals is known from DE-OS 2505656.

In the known devices, it is not possible to establish a voice connection between an emergency caller and the emergency reporting receiving point in every situation, e.g. if the person is unable to move.

Retirement homes and retirement homes are generally used by older people who, on the one hand, are no longer able to manage their household completely or no longer at all, but on the other hand are unable to find appropriate support in the area of private families.

The invention has for its object to enable that these potentially in need of care people can still stay in the home and never or only have to change to the old people's home later, with a voice connection should be possible at any time and anywhere in the home between the emergency caller and a receiving point .

The person involved in the help call system receives a handy emergency reporting device, which he always carries with him or keeps within reach. With this body device, he can make an emergency call to the intended addressee by pressing a button. The addressee can be the neighbor, the social center, the hospital, relatives or another helpful place; in the present case it is called the emergency reporting point.

The body device preferably sends the emergency call as a radio telegram - possibly together with its own identification signal. This radio telegram is received by a relay station located nearby. The relay point is installed in such a way that it can always maintain or establish radio communication with the body device in the defined domestic range of motion of the elderly. The area in front of the front door or possibly even in front of the apartment door does not always have to be covered, since these areas are usually sufficiently frequented by passers-by who can provide or bring help. Sometimes, however, the basement has to be included in the monitored area, or the garden in single-family houses. Where the direct radio connection is not sufficient, coverage can be established via auxiliary relay points, which in turn are connected to the main relay point via a wire line.

This (main) relay point preferably contains, in addition to the transceiver device for the radio connection, the main telephone connection of the apartment and an automatic dialing device with which, after an emergency call arrives, the telephone connection to the emergency report receiving point is established directly without any further action on the part of the person. In this way, the emergency call arrives at the emergency reporting point. This usually inquires about the established route (telephone in the control center - wire connection - telephone in the apartment - transmitting / receiving device in the relay station - radio connection - body device) after the emergency call and then initiates the appropriate measures.

The receipt is usually given as a personal address by the emergency reporting point. Acoustic and visual receipts are provided in addition or in special cases alone.

Not only electromagnetic waves can serve as a radio bridge, but also sonar waves, possibly also light waves.

Depending on the situation, different configurations are possible.

a) The body device only serves as an emergency reporting device. In this case, after the emergency message has been initiated, the automatic dialing device for the public telephone network is activated by a radio signal. The receipt and the conversation run via a hands-free system (possibly with additional loudspeakers and additional microphones, which are distributed in the apartment and connected to the relay point by wire).

b) The body device serves as an emergency reporting device and a wireless microphone. The response from the emergency reporting point is given via loudspeakers.

usually at the push of a button. However, it can also be achieved in other ways, e.g. by an acceleration threshold, by loud shouting, by pulse rate - body temperature - respiratory rate -, blood pressure -, threshold and the like.

It is already common practice today that needy, single elderly people are provided with a telephone made available to the public with financial support, whereby the installation of the relay station belonging to the device according to the invention can be carried out easily.
