REVENDICATIONS
1. Briquet pour fumeur, comprenant un corps muni d'un couvercle articulé et rappelé élastiquement dans l'une et l'autre de deux positions stables, ces positions étant définies par la coopération de surfaces d'appui solidaires respectivement du corps et du couvercle, ce dernier étant articulé sur le corps par l'intermédiaire d'une tige remplissant le rôle d'axe d'articulation et constituant simultanément un organe de rappel élastique du couvercle pour maintenir les surfaces d'appui en position de coopération, cette tige étant engagée dans des logements du corps et du couvercle, caractérisé en ce que le logement du corps est ouvert sur une face de ce dernier, ce logement étant destiné à recevoir la tige d'articulation, le briquet comprenant un fourreau enveloppant le corps, une portion de ce fourreau venant fermer le logement ouvert du corps.
2. Briquet selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la tige de pivotement est constituée par un fil d'acier comprenant une partie centrale de forme générale rectiligne, les deux extrémités de la tige étant recourbées pour s'étendre vers le milieu de cette partie centrale et parrallélement à cette dernière.
3. Briquet selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que le couvercle est en forme générale d'une plaquette rectangulaire destinée à recouvrir une surface rectangulaire constituant une extrémité du corps, lesdits logements s'étendant le long d'un des longs côtés de la plaquette.
On connait déjà des briquets pour fumeur, comprenant un corps muni d'un couvercle articulé et rappelé élastiquement dans l'une et l'autre de deux positions stables, ces positions étant définies par la coopération de surfaces d'appui solidaires respectivement du corps et du couvercle, ce dernier étant articulé sur le corps par l'interme- diaire d'une tige remplissant le rôle d'axe d'articulation et constituant simultanément un organe de rappel élastique du couvercle pour maintenir les surfaces d'appui en position de coopération, cette tige étant engagée dans des logements du corps et du couvercle (voir par exemple brevet français N 2106796).
La présente invention a pour objet une construction particulière permettant de réaliser l'articulation du couvercle de façon extrêmement simple et donc économique. Ce but est atteint grâce au fait que le logement du corps est ouvert sur une face de ce dernier, ce logement étant destiné à recevoir la tige d'articulation, le briquet comprenant un fourreau enveloppant le corps, une portion de ce fourreau venant fermer le logement ouvert du corps.
Le dessin annexé représente, schématiquement et à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution du briquet de l'invention.
La figure unique est une vue éclatée en perspective de cette forme d'exécution.
Le corps I du briquet est destiné à être introduit à coulissement dans un manchon extérieur 12 qui constitue en général un'habillage décoratif. Le dessin montre le corps 1 lorsqu'il n'est pas encore entièrement engagé dans le manchon 12. Dans cette forme d'exécution, le corps 1 présente un logement 13 constitué par une rainure s'ouvrant du côté du manchon, cette rainure 13 étant destinée à recevoir la partie médiane 14 d'une tige 5 constituée par un fil d'acier dont la partie centrale est sensiblement rectiligne et dont les deux extrémités 15 et 16 sont recourbées pour s'étendre vers le milieu de la partie centrale 14 et parallèlement à cette dernière.
Un couvercle 4, en forme générale d'une plaque rectangulaire, est articulé le long d'un de ses longs côtés sur le corps I. A cet effet, le couvercle 4 présente deux évidements 17 et 18 dans lesquels débouchent deux trous borgnes 19 destinés à recevoir les extrémités 15 et 16 de la tige 5.
Le montage de ce couvercle 4 est très simple, car la première opération consiste à engager les extrémités 15 et 16 dans les trous 19 du couvercle 4, puis la partie médiane 14 de la tige dans la rainure 13.
Ensuite, le corps I est glissé dans le manchon 12, ce qui retient la partie 14 dans la rainure 13. On peut avantageusement prévoir de glisser le corps 1 dans le manchon 12 de façon que le fond du corps 1 soit situé à l'intérieur du manchon 12, cela sur une profondeur sensiblement égale à l'épaisseur du couvercle 4. Ce dernier vient alors s'encastrer dans l'extrémité du manchon 12, ce qui permet de réaliser une fermeture particulièrement esthétique.
Il va de soi que les dispositions décrites pourraient aussi être utilisées avantageusement pour l'articulation du couvercle recouvrant habituellement le brûleur d'un briquet.

CLAIMS
1. Lighter for smokers, comprising a body provided with a hinged cover and resiliently recalled in either of two stable positions, these positions being defined by the cooperation of support surfaces secured respectively to the body and to the cover , the latter being articulated on the body by means of a rod fulfilling the role of articulation axis and simultaneously constituting an elastic return member of the cover to maintain the bearing surfaces in the cooperation position, this rod being engaged in housings of the body and of the cover, characterized in that the housing of the body is open on one face of the latter, this housing being intended to receive the articulation rod, the lighter comprising a sheath enveloping the body, a portion of this sheath closing the open housing of the body.
2. Lighter according to claim 1, characterized in that the pivot rod is constituted by a steel wire comprising a central part of generally rectilinear shape, the two ends of the rod being curved to extend towards the middle of this central part and parallel to the latter.
3. Lighter according to claim 2, characterized in that the cover is in the general shape of a rectangular plate intended to cover a rectangular surface constituting one end of the body, said housings extending along one of the long sides of the brochure.
Lighters for smokers are already known, comprising a body provided with a hinged cover and resiliently recalled in both of two stable positions, these positions being defined by the cooperation of support surfaces which are secured respectively to the body and of the cover, the latter being articulated on the body by means of a rod fulfilling the role of articulation axis and simultaneously constituting an elastic return member of the cover to maintain the bearing surfaces in the cooperation position , this rod being engaged in housings of the body and of the cover (see for example French patent N 2106796).
The subject of the present invention is a particular construction making it possible to produce the articulation of the cover in an extremely simple and therefore economical manner. This object is achieved thanks to the fact that the housing of the body is open on one face of the latter, this housing being intended to receive the articulation rod, the lighter comprising a sheath enveloping the body, a portion of this sheath closing the open body housing.
The attached drawing shows, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the lighter of the invention.
The single figure is an exploded perspective view of this embodiment.
The body I of the lighter is intended to be slidably introduced into an outer sleeve 12 which generally constitutes a decorative covering. The drawing shows the body 1 when it is not yet fully engaged in the sleeve 12. In this embodiment, the body 1 has a housing 13 constituted by a groove opening on the side of the sleeve, this groove 13 being intended to receive the middle part 14 of a rod 5 constituted by a steel wire whose central part is substantially rectilinear and whose two ends 15 and 16 are curved to extend towards the middle of the central part 14 and parallel to the latter.
A cover 4, in the general shape of a rectangular plate, is articulated along one of its long sides on the body I. For this purpose, the cover 4 has two recesses 17 and 18 into which two blind holes 19 intended to receive the ends 15 and 16 of the rod 5.
The mounting of this cover 4 is very simple, because the first operation consists in engaging the ends 15 and 16 in the holes 19 of the cover 4, then the middle part 14 of the rod in the groove 13.
Then, the body I is slid into the sleeve 12, which retains the part 14 in the groove 13. It is advantageous to provide for sliding the body 1 in the sleeve 12 so that the bottom of the body 1 is located inside of the sleeve 12, this over a depth substantially equal to the thickness of the cover 4. The latter then fits into the end of the sleeve 12, which makes it possible to produce a particularly aesthetic closure.
It goes without saying that the arrangements described could also be used advantageously for the articulation of the cover usually covering the burner with a lighter.
