REVENDICATIONS

CLAIMS
1. Deterrent device against theft of a ski, intended to be fixed on the ski in the space reserved for the skier's boot, characterized in that it consists of a retractable tilting brake (2) comprising at minus one brake wing (7). an output control spring (9). and a retaining pedal (8) ensuring the retraction of the brake by the back pressure of the shoe on said retaining pedal, and a lock mechanism (6) for blocking the tilting of the brake (2) in the extended position of the latter, so that the ski equipped with this device can be made unitable by said blocking.
2. Device according to claim I, characterized in that the tilting brake (2) is articulated in a bearing (3) of a plate (4) intended to be fixed on the upper face of the ski, and in that the mechanism with lock for locking the tilting of the brake is integrated into said plate.
3. Device according to Claims I and 2, characterized in that the lock mechanism (6) for blocking the tilting of the brake comprises at least one lateral bolt (10) opening out from the plate (4) in the immediate vicinity of the bearing (3 ) of the brake articulation to form a stop for immobilizing the wing (7) of the brake in the extended position.
4. Device according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that it comprises means intended for its integration into the binding (5) of the ski.
The present invention relates to a deterrent device against theft of a ski.
During rest stops, the skier is poorly protected against the theft of his skis which he usually leaves on his car or in the unsupervised racks of an inn.
Dressed as a skier, the thief enjoys a certain anonymity in a ski resort and he plays well, after surveillance and a discreet choice. to grab and even put on a pair of skis, then spin while drowning in the crowd of other skiers.
Aside from the chain and the padlock, which is impractical to use and overly visible, there is strictly speaking no protection device against this type of theft.
The invention aims to fill this gap with a device as discreet as possible and yet sufficient to discourage a potential thief.
As defined in claim 1, the device according to the invention achieves this object because it hardly differs visually from the safety devices currently used to stop skiing on snow in the event of accidental release of the skier's boot, and by the fact that the locking of its brake in the extended position, ensured by a lock. prohibits the insertion of the boot into the binding of the ski and therefore renders the latter unusable, both for immediate use and for resale.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the subject of the invention.
The only figure in this drawing is an overall perspective view.
The device shown is shown in the service position on a ski I.
It consists of a retractable tilting brake 2 articulated in a bearing 3 of a plate 4 fixed between the front stop 5 of the binding of the ski I and the upper surface of the latter, and of a locking mechanism 6 for locking of the tilting of this brake.
The tilting brake 2, in the form of a lever, comprises two lateral braking wings 7 extended opposite the bearing 3 by a retaining pedal 8 projecting into the space reserved for the skier's shoe and an output control spring 9 now with that pedal up and the wings down.
In the absence of locking of the tilting of the brake 2, the retraction of the latter is normally ensured by the back pressure of the skier's shoe on the retaining pedal 8. It is this part of the device which is related to the devices safety devices currently used to stop skiing on snow during an accidental release of the skier's boot.
The locking lock mechanism 6 is integrated into the plate 4 and comprises two lateral bolts 10 emerging from the latter in the immediate vicinity of the bearing 3 for articulation of the brake 2, so that once out, these two bolts constitute abutments immobilization of the brake wings 7 and thus block the brake in the extended position. The barrel 1 1 of this lock is flush with the upper face of the plate 4 so as to protect it by covering the boot during use of the ski.
Thus integrated into the plate 4 of the tilting brake, the lock mechanism presents no possibility of rapid and discreet disassembly. In the absence of a key, putting the ski back into service requires indeed the complete dismantling of the front stop 5 of the binding, the removal of the plate 4 and the reassembly of this stop, as many operations also dissuasive for a possible thief.
But this integration is obviously not essential to allow the decommissioning of the ski. In a variant, the mechanism for blocking the tilting of the brake can be mounted behind the latter so as to no longer prohibit the tilting of the wings 7 but of the retaining pedal 8.
Likewise, the tilting brake, which is shown integrated into the binding of the ski, can be independent of the latter and fixed for example behind the front stop 5, always under the skier's shoe, with a mechanism with integrated lock or not. .
In the case of its integration into a sufficiently thick plate 4, the lock mechanism may comprise a bolt arranged in a radial position relative to the bearing 3 so as to be able to be introduced into a mortise formed in the pivot axis of the brake and the barrel 1 1 can be arranged to be flush with the side wall of this plate.
Finally, the tilting brake may have only one brake wing 7.
In addition, in the case of a tilting brake and / or a blocking mechanism thereof with visible fixing screws, these elements may be provided with means capable of preventing the disassembly of these screws when the brake is blocked. in the extended position, such as, for example, pins engaging the fixing screws or tabs covering said screws.
