Cage for the housing of laboratory animals, comprising a convex lid (1) for the filtration of the air entering or leaving the cage, a grate (18) for feeding and supporting the drinking trough, and a container (12), characterized in that the lid is provided with cutouts (3) covered with air filter paper (13).
