EMI1.5
2,4-Diamino-1,3, 5-triazin 2,4-Diamino-6-methyl-1,3, 5-triazin 2,4-Diamino-6-äthyl-1,3, 5-triazin 2,4-Diamino-6-n-propyl-1,3, 5-tnazin 2,4-Diamino-6-isopropyl- 1,3, 5-triazin 2,4-Diamino-6-butyl-1,3, 5-triazin 2,4-Diamino-6-phenyl-1,3, 5-triazin 2,4-Diamino-6-methylmercapto- 1,3 -5-triazin

6. Dyed according to the method of claim 1, high molecular weight organic material.
It has been found that mixtures of anthraquinone compounds of the formula
EMI1.4
wherein n is the number 1 or 2, R if n = 1, an optionally substituted anthraquinone residue, and R if n = 2, a residue of the formula
EMI1.5
means, in which R1 is hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, phenyl or methyl mercapto, for dyeing high molecular weight material, in particular polyesters, are particularly suitable in the mass.
Of particular interest are colorant mixtures of the formula 1 in which n = 1 and R is an anthraquinone radical which is substituted by chlorine, methyl, hydroxy, methoxy or benzoylamino or optionally by 1 or 2 halogen or alkyl containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, substituted phenyl, phenoxy or Phenylmercapto can be substituted.
Of particular interest are colorant mixtures of the formula 1, in which n = 1 and pure unsubstituted 1-anthraquinone radical.
Color body mixtures of the formula are also of interest
EMI2.1
where R1 has the meaning given above. R1 in formula 3 is preferably hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or phenyl.
The mixtures of anthraquinone compounds of the formula 1 to be used according to the invention can be obtained in a particularly simple manner by condensation of the by-product or
Waste product in various processes resulting 1,6 and 1,7-dichloroanthraquinone mixtures with aminoanthraquinones or diamino-1,3,5-triazine derivatives.
The dichloroanthraquinone mixtures mentioned are obtained, for example, in the halogenation referred to as fishing of aqueous solutions of anthraquinone sulfonic acids or of industrial waste water which contain these anthraquinone disulfonic acid mixtures. Suitable dichloroanthraquinone mixtures are also obtained in the reaction of elemental chlorine with technical nitration products of anthraquinone.
The condensation is carried out in a customary manner in a higher-boiling solvent such as, for example, toluene, xylene, chlorobenzene, o-dichlorobenzene, trichlorobenzene, naphthalene or in particular nitrobenzene in the presence of an acid-binding agent such as sodium carbonate or acetate or
Potassium carbonate or acetate, and a suitable copper catalyst.
For the preparation of dichloroanthraquinone mixtures of the formula 3, the method of the Swiss patent specification 485 644 is particularly suitable, by using 1 mol of a triazine compound of the formula
EMI2.2
wherein R1 has the meaning given above, with 2 mol of a 1,6 and 1,7-dichloroanthraquinone mixture in the presence of an addition compound of a copper-I-halide, preferably a copper-I-iodide, and a tertiary base, preferably a pyridine base, condensed as a catalyst
The following aminoanthraquinones, for example, are suitable as starting compounds for the preparation of anthraquinone compounds of the formula 1 when n = 1:
1-aminoanthraquinone 1-amino-4,5 or 8-benzoylaminoanthraquinone 1-amino-4-hydroxyanthraquinone 1-amino-4-methoxyanthraquinone 1-amino-4,5 or 8-phenylmercaptoanthraquinone l-amino-6- or -7 -chloroanthraquinone 2-aminoanthraquinone or mixtures thereof, while the following triazine compounds are suitable as starting compounds for the preparation of anthraquinone compounds of the formula 3:
2,4-diamino-1,3,5-triazine 2,4-diamino-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazine 2,4-diamino-6-ethyl-1,3,5-triazine 2,4 -Diamino-6-n-propyl-1,3,5-tazin 2,4-diamino-6-isopropyl-1,3,5-triazine 2,4-diamino-6-butyl-1,3,5-triazine 2,4-diamino-6-phenyl-1,3,5-triazine 2,4-diamino-6-methylmercapto-1,3 -5-triazine
The triazine compounds can be prepared in a known manner by condensing carboxylic acid nitriles with dicyandiamide or from the corresponding dichlorotriazines by reaction with ammonia.
In addition to excellent thermal stability, the colorant mixtures to be used according to the invention have good solubility in the application in the polymer composition, which is greater than that of the chlorine-free analog compounds, which is surprising because of the higher molecular weight and was not to be expected. Compared with the simpler anilino derivatives of the 6- or 7-chloroanthraquinone mixtures of German Offenlegungsschrift 2,513,950, the color body mixtures which can be used according to the invention show better behavior with regard to the bleeding on foreign tissue during heat setting when applied in polyester. Some of them also have purer colors.
The following can be mentioned as high-molecular organic material to be colored: Celulose ethers, cellulose esters, acetyl cellulose, nitrocellulose, polyurethane and especially polyolefins such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyacrylic acid esters, polystyrene and their copolymers such as ABS, but especially polyester.
In the examples below, the parts mean parts by weight, the percentages by weight, unless stated otherwise, and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Examples 14
36.6 parts of a technical mixture of 1,6 / 1,7-dichloroanthraquinone with a content of 41.4% 1.6 and 53.1% of 1,7-dichloroanthraquinone, 11.2 parts of 2,4-diamino-6- phenyl 1,3, 5-triazine and 16 parts of anhydrous sodium carbonate are dissolved in 200 parts of nitrobenzene after adding a solution of
1.6 parts of copper I-iodide in 9 parts of pyridine were stirred at 150-155 for 18 hours while distilling off the water formed in the reaction. The mixture is then allowed to cool to 100 "with stirring, the precipitated crystalline reaction product is filtered off with suction and washed successively with 100" warm nitrobenzene, hot alcohol and finally hot water.
After drying at 80-90 "in vacuo, 37.5 parts of a color body mixture of the gross composition C37H19Cl2N504 result: calc.: C66.48 H2.85 N10.48 Cl 10.61% found: C 66.5 H 2.9 N 10.8 Cl 10.3%
When this color body mixture is applied in PES according to Example 3, yellow colorations of excellent fastness properties are obtained.
Compared to the 2,4-bis (1-anthraquinonyl) amino-6-phenyl-1,3,5-triazine mentioned in Example 9 of DAS 1283 542, the above mixture of dichloro derivatives has the advantage of better solubility in polyester. Compared to the isomer-free 6-chloroanthraquinone derivatives from DT-OS 1644521, Examples 4 and 5, the above mixture has the advantage of easier accessibility and better solubility in polyester.
Analog color bodies are obtained according to Example 1 if, instead of the 2,4-diamino-6-phenyl-1,3, 5-triazine, equivalent amounts of the following diaminotriazine derivatives are condensed with the 1,6 / 1,7-dichloroanthraquinone mixture: auxiliary triazine derivative Nuance match inPES 2 2,4-diamino-1,3,5-triazine yellow 3 2,4-diamino-6-yellow methyl-1,3,5-triazine 4 2,4-diamino-6-yellow ethyl-1 , 3,5-triazine 5 2,4-diamono-6-n-yellow propyl-1,3, 5-triazine 6 2,4-diamino-6-i-yellow propyl-1,3,
5-tnazine 7 2,4-diamino-6-n-yellow butyl-1,3,5-triazine 8 2,4-diamino-6-methyl yellow
5-mercapto-1,3-5-triazine
Examples 9-14
50 parts of a technical 1,6 / 1,7-dichloroanthraquinone mixture of the above-mentioned composition are stirred with 38 parts of 1-aminoanthraquinone, 19.2 parts of anhydrous sodium carbonate and 4.4 parts of sodium acetate in 360 parts of nitrobenzene at boiling temperature and freed of any moisture which is still present . At 1900, 1.8 parts of copper powder are subsequently added and the mixture is then stirred at the boiling temperature for 18 hours, with distillation of the water formed in the reaction. After cooling to room temperature, the crystalline reaction product is filtered off and washed with a little nitrobenzene, then with alcohol and finally with hot water.
To remove the copper that is still present, the moist product is stirred in 4000 parts of 5% nitric acid at 80 "for 2 hours, filtered warm, washed neutral and dried at 80" in vacuo. This gives 68 parts of a bordeaux-colored pigment mixture with a chlorine content of 6-6.5%, which produces pure red dyeings with excellent fastness properties in PES. Compared to the corresponding stains available with the condensation products of aniline derivatives with 1,6 / 1,7-dichloroanthraquinone mixtures in accordance with DT-OS 2 513 950, they are superior in resistance to the bleeding of foreign tissue during heat setting.
Compared to the unsubstituted di (1-anthraquinonyl) amine, the above color body mixture is characterized by better solubility in the polyester, a cleaner and more interesting shade and a superior fastness to rubbing of the dye after the heat setting of the dyed material.
Corresponding color bodies are obtained analogously to Example 9 if, instead of 1-aminoanthraquinone, the following 1-aminoanthraquinone derivatives are condensed with the 1,6 / 1,7-dichloroanthraquinone mixture: In the case of an aminoanthraquinone derivative, nuance in PES 10 1-amino-4-hydroxy violet anthraquinone 11 1-amino-4-phenyl-bordeaux mercaptoanthraquinone 12 1-amino-S-phenyl-scarlet mercaptoanthraquinone 13 1-amino-4-benzoyl-violet aminoanthraquinone 14 1-amino-S-benzoyl-red aminoanthraquinone
Example 15
A non-matted polyethylene terephthalate granulate suitable for fiber production is shaken in a sealable vessel together with 1% of one of the color bodies described in the preceding examples on a shaker for 15 minutes.
The uniformly colored granules are spun into threads on a melt spinning system (285 + 3, dwell time in the spinning machine approx. 5 minutes), which are drawn and wound on a draw twisting system. Lively colors are obtained due to the solubility of the dyes in polyethylene terephthalate.
The colored material can be treated and tested as follows: a) Heat setting
A sample of the colored material is treated in a precision ironing press at 1800 for 30 seconds and, if necessary, additionally fixed at 135 for 30 minutes.
b) Testing the rub fastness after heat setting
Dry, undyed cotton or polyethylene terephthalate fabric is moved back and forth in a crock meter 10 times with a pressure of 900 g within 10 seconds over a 10 cm long sample of the dyed and thermofied material. The staining of the undyed material is assessed.
c) Examination of bleeding during thermofection
A sample of the dyed material is treated together with undyed reference fabric (polyamide, polyester) in a precision ironing press at 1800 for 30 seconds.
Example 16
100 parts of low-pressure polyethylene (Hostalen GB 6450), 1 part of titanium dioxide (Kronos RN 56) and 0.1 part of the color body according to Example 8 are mixed in a high-speed kneader for about 1 minute with plasticization. The material obtained is then shaped into a plate on a plate press at 160-180. An intensely yellow-colored compact is obtained.
Samples of this show perfect color stability even after a minute temperature at 280.
