2. Device according to claim I, characterized in that the second slide (12) bears against the bottom of the curved circular groove in the form of a gutter (21), under the action of a spring (14).
3. Device according to claim 2, characterized in that the edge of the end of the second slide (12) in contact with the bottom of the curved circular groove in the shape of a gutter (21) is rounded.
4. Device according to claim 3, characterized in that the rounding of the edge of the end of the second slide (12) in contact with the bottom of the curved circular groove in the shape of a gutter (21) corresponds to the curvature of the bottom of the latter.
The subject of the invention is a wire cutter device with wire retention.
A device of this type is already known comprising a rod provided with a head having a substantially circular edge on its face oriented towards the side of the rod, a first slider engaged on the rod and a second slider engaged on the first slider bearing against the head of the rod, on either side of the substantially circular edge respectively.
The invention aims to improve the cutting of the wire by means of this device.
In order to obtain a more sharp edge of the aforementioned circular edge, the device is characterized in that the edge is formed at the intersection of the internal edge of a curved circular groove in the shape of a gutter, cut in a frustoconical extension from the peripheral edge of the head, directed towards the rod, and from the external peripheral edge of a circular groove cut in the face of the head oriented on the side of the rod.
The accompanying drawing shows, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the device according to the invention.
The single figure of this drawing is a view in axial section thereof.
As shown in the drawing, the device consists of a rod 1 having, at one of its ends, a thread 2 and, at its other end, a head 3 of which a part 4 of the periphery is knurled. The face of the head 3 oriented towards the side of the rod 1 has a peripheral edge 5 formed at the intersection of the internal edge of a curved circular groove in the shape of a gutter 21, cut in a frustoconical extension 6 of the peripheral edge of the head 3, directed towards the rod 1, and from the external peripheral edge 7 of a circular groove 8 cut in the face of the head 3 oriented towards the side of the rod 1. A first slide 9 is engaged on the rod 1.
Its end opposite the head 3 has a clearance comprising a frustoconical part 10, so as to allow it to penetrate into the groove 8 of the head 3 along its internal peripheral edge 11 while remaining spaced from the external peripheral edge 7 of this groove 8 and the edge 5. n is held in place by a ring 15 mounted in a peripheral groove of the rod 1.
A second slide 12 is engaged on the slide 9, coaxially with the rod 1, and its end opposite the head 3 bears against the bottom of the curved circular groove in the form of a gutter 21 against which it is pressed by a spring 14 .
Preferably, the edge of the end of the slide 12 in contact with the bottom of the curved circular groove in the shape of a gutter 21 is rounded, so as to improve its contact with the latter. More preferably, the rounded edge of this end of the slide 12 corresponds to the curvature of the bottom of the groove 21.
Thus, a wire introduced into the device between the head 3 and the second slide 12 is pinched between the bottom of the groove 21 of the head 3 and the support end 13 with rounded edges of the slide 12, and slides over the part frustoconical 10 of the groove of the slide 9 in the direction of the groove 8 when it is pulled on it. In doing so, it necessarily passes over the edge 5 which then cuts the wire, part of which is removed from the device, while the other is retained between the groove 21 of the head 3 and the bearing end 13 of the slide 12 .
Note in the drawing that the circular groove 21 imparts a particularly sharp wire to the edge 5, and that the contact of the rounded edge of the end 13 of the slide 12 with the bottom of the curved circular groove 21 ensures excellent retention of the wire once cut.
