With these plugs, however, there is 50 the V-groove. In a further embodiment of the invention, there can always be a problem in being able to take out the optical fibers on the one hand slightly with the deeper V-groove at the beginning of the bore and on the other hand to reduce the exact coupling by a shoulder in the thickness, to ensure that the lunging without much adjustment effort. As can be seen from Fig. 1, a device connector 1 according to the invention consists of an essentially rectangular base body 2 e.g. Made of metal with a V-groove 3 running continuously on its upper side from one end to the other. This V-groove 3 is reduced in the coupling area of two optical fibers 4,5 to be connected to a height which is approximately 120% of the diameter of the optical fibers to be coupled is that the base body 2 is reduced in thickness by a paragraph 6. The V-groove base remains unchanged over the entire length of the groove. The optical fiber 4 is inserted into the base body 2 through a bore 7 in its front side without casing. The bore 7 is connected to the V-groove 3 via a slot opening 8, so that the stripped end of the optical fiber 4 can enter the V-groove 3. At the front edge 9, the base body 2 has a shoulder 10, which is designed such that the bore 7 is open to the edge towards the shoulder surface. A cover 12 is placed on the part of the base body 2 with the section with a larger V-groove depth. This lid 12 is e.g. made of plexiglass and is attached to the base body 2 by means of screws, which are not shown. The cover 12 consists of a section 13 covering the base body and a section 14 lying in front of it. These two sections 13, 14 have different thicknesses. On the front transverse edge 15 of the section 13, this has a shoulder 16 and on the step wall 17 between these two sections 13, 14 a shoulder 18 of the same height is formed. The height of the shoulders 16, 18 is dimensioned such that, when the cover 12 is fastened, a gap remains between the section 13 and the upper side of the base body 2, the shoulder 16 on the surface of the coupling section 19 of the base body 2 and the shoulder 18 s is in accordance with paragraph 10. The distance between the shoulders 16, 18 corresponds to the length of the front section of the base body 2 with the greater V-groove depth.
A cover plate 21 is fastened to the coupling section 19 by means of screws, which are not shown. This Ab-lo cover plate 21 is expediently made of metal and has a groove 22 on its support surface on its underside. This groove 22 is wider than the V-groove in the coupling section 19 and runs parallel to the V-groove above it. The depth of the groove 22 corresponds to approximately half the diameter of the optical fiber 5 15 and 4. In the cover plate 21 there is a vertical pressure pin 23 which is loaded by a spring 24 and the end of which protrudes in the region of the groove 22 above the groove base. The pressure pin 23 is mounted so that it can be raised by means of a pivot lever 25. The cover plate 21 is fastened on the base body 2 20 in such a way that the pressure pin presses the two ends of the optical fiber 4. 5 to be coupled into the V-groove and thereby aligns and fixes it in the same. At the end of the V-groove with a smaller depth there is a notch 27, by means of which the optical fiber to be coupled is easily inserted from the front into the channel formed by the V-groove 3 and the groove 22 when the cover plate 21 is in place can, for which purpose the pressure pin 23 must first be raised.
