Circuit hydraulique pour commander le piston d'injection d'une machine à mouler oléodynamique, comprenant un premier conduit reliant l'extrémité avant du cylindre, d'une part, à une des sorties d'un commutateur hydraulique et, d'autre part, à un reservoir d'huile; un deuxième conduit, dans lequel sont monies en parallel deux soupapes hydrauliques, reliant l'arrière du cylindre, d'une part, à l'autre sortie du commutateur et, d'autre part, au reservoir d'huile;
la fig. 1 représente schématiquement un circuit hydraulique connu;

In an oleodynamic molding machine for injecting thermoplastics, which is not provided with complex and expensive equipment controlled by complicated devices, such as microcomputers, one of the most difficult adjustments to make is that of the pressures. and times of the different phases of the actual injection of the material into the mold.
Most known machines do not have any system for controlling the volume of the material injected into the mold: the injection is stopped by a timer after a time always longer than that strictly necessary to fill the mold, or at the end of the adjustable stroke of the injection piston. This approach has drawbacks because it is practically impossible to inject material at the maximum pressure which would be allowed by the precision of the mold and by the closing force of the machine, and which would be necessary for the obtaining a molding of the best quality.
To be able to work at the maximum pressure, we must be able to reduce it as soon as the mold is filled, in order to avoid infiltration of the material in the mold joints and, consequently, undesirable burrs, but not too much quickly, to prevent the molded part from being incomplete or incomplete.
To this end, in some machines, devices are used provided with pressure sensors, such as piezoelectric sensors which are placed in the mold so that they deliver an electrical signal as soon as they are compressed, this signal, after having been amplified, acting on the control of the valves of the hydraulic injection circuit. Such a device is very expensive and requires a detector per mold and can only be used by specialized personnel.
The object of the present invention is to provide a hydraulic circuit for controlling the injection piston of an oleodynamic molding machine, composed of simple, inexpensive hydraulic devices, which can be used by personnel with limited technical knowledge, but allowing to work at maximum pressure. This object is achieved by the circuit defined in claim 1, in which the documentator makes it possible to absorb water hammer.
In the description which follows, the known circuit and its operation will first be described, then the circuit according to the invention and its operation, with reference to the accompanying drawings, given by way of example, in which:
fig. 1 schematically represents a known hydraulic circuit;
fig. 2 represent the circuit according to the invention, and
fig. 3 and 4 represent the pressure diagrams in the circuits of FIGS. 1 and 2 respectively.
The circuit represents in fig. 1 comprises a cylinder 1 in which is mounted a sliding piston 2 made integral with an injection piston 3 mounts in an injection cylinder 4 whose end forms an injection nozzle and which is surmounted by a hopper 5 by which the mature arrives to inject.
The front end of the cylinder 1 is relict, by a conduit 6, to one of the outputs of a hydraulic switch 7 controlled by a solenoid 8. The other output of the switch 7 is reline, by a conduit 9, in which are mounted in parallel and in opposition two hydraulic valves 10 and 11, at the rear end of the cylinder 1. This extremity is connected, by a conduit 12, to a pressure switch 13, adjustable.
The input of the switch 7 is relict, by a conduit 14, to a pump 15 driven by a motor M and connected, by a filter 16, to an oil reservoir 17. In parallel with the pump 15 are relives to the conduit 14 a hydraulic valve 18 limiting the maximum pressure, manually adjustable and, by means of a hydraulic switch 19 controlled: by the pressure switch 13, by means of a solenoid 19a, a hydraulic valve 20 limiting the compaction pressure ( second injection phase).
The hydraulic circuit described above works as follows:
The position that the different elements of the circuit occupy in fig. 1 is that of rest. The injection piston 3 is in the starting position where it has been brought back after a previous injection. The switch 7 is in the position for which the conduits 6 and 14 are in communication and for which the conduit 9 communicates with the reservoir 17.
For the next injection, action is taken on the mold closing means, not shown, which also control the switch 7, by means of the solenoid 8, so as to put the conduits 14 and 9 into communication, on the one hand, and the conduit 6 and the reservoir 17, on the other hand. The pump 15 therefore sends pressurized oil to the rear of the cylinder 1, via the conduits 14 and 9 and the one-way valve 10, which causes the pistons 2 and 3 to move in the direction injection. The oil contained in the cylinder, at the front of the piston 2, is evacuated towards the reservoir, through the conduit 6.
Valves 18 and 20 and pressure switch 13 have been previously set to desired pressure values.
The diagram shows in fig. 3 shows the variation of the pressure in the circuit represents 9 lea fig. 1, as a function of time. At the start, the pressure rises quickly to the value P1 necessary to start the piston 2, then falls to the value P2 because, when the mold is empty, the molten material does not meet in the first injection phase, during which fills the mold, only a low resistance due to friction in the cylinder 1, in the nozzle 4a and in the bypass channels. This pressure P2 is very much lower than the maximum pressure fixed by the valve 18 and indicated on the diagram by P3.
At time t1, the mold is completely filled and the pressure in the circuit rises suddenly because of the stopping of the piston 3. Because of the time necessary for the intervention of the valve 18, of the pressure switch 13, of the switch 19 and valve 20, it is pro
takes a blow of belies, so that the pressure in the circuit exceeding, at time t2, the value P4 to which the pressure switch 13 is adjusted and, at time t3, the value P3 fixed by the valve 18, reaches the value P5 trews greater than P3. At time t4, the intervention of valve 18 occurs, which causes the pressure in the circuit to drop to the value P3, this pressure being maintained until moment ts on. occurs the intervention of the valve 20 which lowers the pressure to the value P6 which is maintained (compaction) until the time t6 when a timer, not shown, will end the injection.
The return of the piston to the rest position is obtained in a known manner, that is to say by reversing the circulation of the oil in the circuit by means of the switch 7 (by bringing it back to the position shown in FIG. 1). The oil contained in the cylinder 1, at the rear of the piston 2, is evacuated towards the reservoir 17 by the conduit 9 and the valve 11 which makes it possible to adjust the return speed of the piston.
The circuit according to the present invention, shown in FIG. 2, comprises, in addition to the elements of the circuit of FIG. 1, which retain their reference numbers, a shock absorber formed by a pressure accumulator 21, in this case of the oleopneumatic type. A membrane 22 separates the gas 21a and oil 21b compartments. The compartment 21a is connected to a pressure gas tank, not shown (in this case a nitrogen tank), by means of a tap 23.
The compartment 21b is connected to the conduit 12, by means of a non-return valve 24 and, consequently, at the rear of the cylinder 1, to a pressure gauge 25, by means of a tap 26, and to the reservoir. 17, by means of a hydraulic switch 27 controlled by a solenoid 28.
The diagram shown in fig. 4 shows the variation of the pressure, as a function of time, in this hydraulic circuit improved in accordance with the present invention.
As can be seen, until time t2, that is to say until the pressure has reached the value P4 at which the pressure switch 13 is adjusted, everything takes place as in the circuit of FIG. 1. From this moment, the pressure continues to rise in the same way up to the value P7 at which the accumulator 21 is preloaded, after which, thanks to the action of the latter which prevents the pressure surge from produce, it rises much slower so as not to exceed a value P8, at the time t5, that is to say at the time of the intervention of the valve 20 which causes it to drop to the value P6 which is maintained until time t6, i.e. until the injection is stopped.
The presence of the non-return valve 24 makes the intervention of the valve 20 faster, since the latter must not evacuate the oil accumulated in the accumulator 21, but only that arriving from the pump 15. The oil accumulated in the accumulator 21 is discharged at the end of injection into the reservoir 17, by means of the switch 27. The pressure gauge 25 makes it possible to measure the maximum pressure reached P8 and therefore to modify, if necessary, the adjustment of the pressure switch 13 and the precharge of the accumulator 21.
