The invention relates to a binocular tube for microscopes, the housing of which has a socket on the underside for attaching to a microscope tube and the upper side has a socket for attaching additional devices such as a photometer, camera, etc. and encloses a deflection prism with a partially transparent mirror surface.
If one wants to use such a tube together with a photometer, an intermediate tube is required which contains the optical components necessary for coupling the photometer to the microscope beam path. This intermediate tube not only represents an additional expense in terms of equipment, it also increases the overall height, which is not always unproblematic.
The object of the invention was to look for a device which does not have the disadvantages mentioned, i.e. which allows the connection of additional devices, in particular photometers, to a microscope with little effort and as much as possible of the same height.
The solution to the problem is provided by a binocular tube of the type mentioned at the outset, which is characterized in that the housing also contains optics and a triple mirror and are mounted in such a way that their axes coincide with the rearward extension of the optical axis of the imaging beam path reflected at the point of passage, and that the deflection prism has an exit surface perpendicular to this extension. Furthermore, a diaphragm that can be switched into the observation beam path can also be present in the housing of the binocular tube. There can be a magnetic drive for the shutter that can be switched on.
Es zeigen:An embodiment of the new binocular tube is shown schematically in the drawing and described below. Show it:
Fig. 1 den anmeldungsgemässen Aufbau des Tubus in Seitensicht,1 shows the structure of the tube according to the application in a side view,
Fig. 2 den Aufbau des Tubus in perspektivischer Sicht.2 shows the structure of the tube in a perspective view.
The housing 10 of the tube has a socket 11 on its underside, with which it is placed on the tube 24 of a microscope, indicated by dashed lines. On its upper side there is a socket 12 for attaching additional devices. A photometer 30 is indicated here as an additional device, which will be explained later. Eyepieces 17 are mounted on the angled part of the tube housing shown on the right. In the area of the optical axis 15 10 penetrating the tube housing 10, a deflection prism is mounted in the same, which is made up of two individual prisms 13 and 14 lying against one another, whose contact surfaces form a partially transparent mirror surface 16. Parts of the light flow coming from the object are reflected on this surface and, after a further reflection on the base surface 14 ′ of the prism 14 , are fed to the eyepieces 17 . Also located in this housing 10 are optics 18 and a triple mirror 19, one behind the other. They are arranged such that their optical axes coincide with the rearward extension 20 of the optical axis 15' reflected by the mirror surface 16 at the point of passage.
Furthermore, a shutter 21 is provided here, which can be introduced into the observation beam path or removed from it by means of a magnetic drive 22, for example.
Above the binocular tube described so far, a photometer 30 is shown as an example of an attachable device, which can be placed on the socket 12 of the binocular tube. It contains a pilot lamp 31 which can illuminate a measuring field stop 34 via an optical system 32 and a 3o mirror 33 . The mirror 33 is movably mounted such that it can be selectively placed in two different relative positions with respect to the optical axis. In its one position it is in the area of the optical axis 15 and thus in the beam path of the device. In its other position, it is removed from the beam path and clears the path to the photoelectric receiver 35 for the latter.
The measuring field diaphragm 34 illuminated by means of the pilot lamp 31 is imaged by the triple mirror 19 in the intermediate image planes 4o of the eyepieces 17 and is thus optionally visible during observation, the selection being made by adjusting the mirror 33 .
The purpose of the diaphragm 21 is to prevent extraneous light from entering through the eyepieces 17 during the light measurement. 45 The movements of the mirror 33 and the diaphragm 21 are thus expediently coupled in such a way that they are alternately introduced into the beam path and taken out of it. A lifting magnet 23 is shown as the drive for the diaphragm 21 in FIG.
What is described here has considerable advantages over the arrangement with an intermediate tube mentioned at the outset. First of all, you get by with a minimum of reflections, which benefits the brightness and thus the measuring accuracy. The adjustment is easy. On the other hand, the new Bin-55 eyepiece tube makes it extremely easy to attach other devices with brand reflections or with diaphragms of different openings or positions in the intermediate image planes of the eyepieces.
