Abstract
To set the fuze of a projectile remotely, the intended type of firing, that is to say impact, slow or delayed slow firing, previously had to be set before the projectile was launched. The transmitter represented enables the type of firing, the time of arming of the fuze and possibly the firing delay time to be set during the flight of the projectile. For this purpose, a signal generator (10, 12, 26) is provided which generates a pulse sequence, and a frequency divider (30, 36), the divider ratios of which are allocated to the various types of firing, and a mixer (28) for mixing a composite pulse train, and a modulator (38) for modulating the carrier frequency of the transmitter with a sequence of pulses of different width which form a code character which determines the type of firing and the pulse repetition rate of which determines the time of arming and the firing delay time, which can be set optionally. <IMAGE>
