Abstract

An apparatus for total energy exchange comprises a heat-exchange rotor (10) driven rotationally at a speed of 40 rev/min. in a conduit subdivided for the passage of the outside air to an air-conditioning unit of a premises and of the air from the premises to an outlet leading outside, after exchange of the heat and humidity. The rotor comprises a packing (13) formed of alternate layers of corrugated cardboard and of flat cardboard, possibly with metal foil sheets. The height of the corrugations is between 1.4 and 3 mm and the length of the passages is between 100 and 400 times the height of the passages. The rotor comprises an intermediate metal circle (16a), a metal wheel rim (12) and a central hub. Such an apparatus is suitable for an air-conditioning device. <IMAGE>
