Abstract

The cell constitutes an accumulator comprising positive and negative electrodes (10, 11 and 12), separators (13 and 14) impregnated with an alkaline electrolyte and an auxiliary electrode (15) which serves for detection of overloads. To each electrode is applied a current collector (17, 18 and 19) carrying a terminal wire (27, 28 and 33) which passes through the casing of the cell. The alkaline electrolytes have a tendency to infiltrate into the seals for passage of the terminal wires. In order to avoid leakages of electrolyte, the current collectors are glued to the internal surface of the casing by means of a fatty acid polyamide-based adhesive material which is not wetted by the electrolyte. <IMAGE>
