Abstract

The stake comprises a lance (10) capable of being driven into the ground and a flag-bearing rod (22) extending coaxially with the lance. The lance (10) and the rod (22) are connected by a helical spring (28) which is integral at its ends with the lance and the rod respectively. With this device, the rod (22) inclines if it is struck and therefore causes no injury to the user. The envisaged use of the stake is for marking gates for skiing competitions. <IMAGE>
