Abstract

A games racket comprising a frame 2 and one or more interwoven strings 4 tensioned within the frame, characterised in that the frame includes an inwardly projecting rigid lip 3 to one side of the strings for contact by the strings when the latter are struck from the other side. When struck in this way, the effective length of the strings is reduced and their tension thereby increased as compared with being struck from said one side. Accordingly a user may compensate for differences in his power as between forehand and backhand shots. <IMAGE>
