Abstract

The frequency of the output signal from an oscillator is divided by a frequency divider so as to obtain frequencies whose period corresponds to one second, one minute, one hour and one day. The hour information signals are processed in a decoder. The control signals provided by the decoder are amplified by an amplifier before being applied to the seven-segment display matrices. Letters representing indications of the days of the week are printed on or attached to a dial beforehand. Liquid-crystal screens serve to mask the display of the days of the week. These screens are configured to mask all except one of the indications, the display of the day of the week thus being marked by the indication which remains unmasked.
