Abstract
Two independent trailing arms (6, 7) are mounted so as to swing about horizontal spindles (8, 9) securely fastened to the chassis of the vehicle. To each arm (6, 7) there is fastened an axle half-body (40, 41) articulated to a half-stub axle (4, 5). To each trailing arm (6, 7) there is fastened an elastic chamber (26, 27) and, in parallel, an anti-roll damper (28, 29). The end of a compression piston (64, 65) of the chamber (26, 27) is fastened to a channel section (66, 67) itself welded to a clevis (68, 69) articulated to a vertical spindle carried by an arm (70, 71) connected rigidly to the half-stub axle (4, 5). The two clevises (68, 69) are connected by a bar (72) with swivels. Each wheel is thus oriented as a function of the turning circle. This suspension device is particularly useful for a heavy goods vehicle. <IMAGE>
