Fig. 2 einen vergrösserten Schnitt nach Linie II-II in Fig. 1,
Fig. 4 einen Schnitt nach Linie IV-IV in Fig. 3.

One problem with conventional tennis rackets is to remove the sweat secretion from the palm of the hand that surrounds the handle, which is usually attempted by wrapping around the handle with appropriate absorbent straps, in particular leather straps. This solution is often unsatisfactory, since the winding saturates relatively quickly with moisture and not only requires a longer drying time until it is fully usable again, but is also increasingly impaired and destroyed by the deposits remaining from the sweat in its serviceability .
The conventional handles are usually made up of several parts, which are clamped around the shaft of the racket or glued to it, which is associated with considerable work, which is why attempts have been made to make handles consisting of two plastic shells, which then by means of the mentioned Winding should receive the skin-friendly surface that the grip requires. However, such shell handles remain relatively unfriendly.
The invention is based on the object of creating a handle for a tennis racket which does not have the disadvantages shown, which is therefore easy to grip and easy to manufacture and assemble. To solve this problem, a handle for a tennis racket is characterized in that it has transversely and longitudinally running air ducts that are at least partially connected to one another and open at least to the partial surfaces of the handle.
The aforementioned air duct system can not only provide effective ventilation of the handle surface area, d. H. that surface on which the hand embraces the handle, but with suitable dimensioning of the channels, sweat can also be absorbed. For this purpose, some of the channels can be dimensioned capillary-like, while another part of the holes or channels can be dimensioned large enough that such a capillary effect does not occur. Of course, you can also provide only capillary-sized or larger than such channels. As a rule, a plurality of transverse channels arranged next to one another in the circumferential direction will open into a common longitudinal channel, since the production of relatively large longitudinal channels can bring advantages in terms of tool technology.
The longitudinal channels can open out at least at the free end of the handle, so that not only one end of the channels leads into the open.
If the handle is made from a shock-absorbing material, for example from a suitable elastomer and / or a foam, it has the further advantage that the momentary deformation of its mass when hitting it also leads to a deformation of the channels and thus a kind of pumping effect Able to promote air and moisture in the channels.
A handle according to the invention can be made from one piece so that it can be applied to the shaft with a press fit, whereby it is not only easy to assemble, but also to be dismantled again, if necessary.
The invention will be described in more detail below with reference to the drawing, for example. Show it:
1 shows a greatly reduced schematic view of a tennis racket,
FIG. 2 shows an enlarged section along line II-II in FIG. 1,
3 shows the detail III and enlarged from FIG. 2
FIG. 4 shows a section along line IV-IV in FIG. 3.
It should be said in advance that the aim of the drawings is a purely schematic representation, with particular details (curves, bulges) being completely neglected.
In Fig. 1 you can see the field 1, the shaft 2 and the handle 3 of a tennis racket.
As can be seen in FIG. 2, the shaft 2, which is designed in any way, is completely surrounded by the one-piece handle 3, with a plurality of transverse channels 4 opening out on the lateral surfaces of the handle 3, which open in groups into longitudinal channels 5. This can be seen even more clearly in FIGS. 3 and 4, where it can also be seen that the channels 5 open out into the end face 3 ′ of the handle 3.
An elastomeric foam containing a relatively large amount of solid material or a compact elastomer can serve as the material of the handle 3, it being possible for it to be produced, for example, by injection molding.
Even if all channels 4 are shown with approximately the same dimensions in particular in FIGS. 3 and 4, it is still possible to use channels 4 of different diameters, namely thin channels of capillary size for sucking liquid from the outer surfaces of the handle 3 and thicker ones Channels 4 outside the capillary area, which do not have a liquid-sucking effect and can therefore remain open for ventilation.
