Fig. 1 eine bevorzugte Ausführungsform des Verschlusses nach der Erfindung in perspektiver Ansicht und mit geschlossener Mündung;
Fig. 2 eine perspektive Ansicht desselben Verschlusses, aber entlang der Längsachse des Ausgabekanals aufgeschnitten und mit geöffnerter Mündung;
The invention relates to an automatic closure on a pressure vessel with an outlet valve, which pressure vessel contains a pressurized liquid or pasty, foam-like dispensable filling and a propellant, which closure comprises a cap part with a dispensing opening for filling the pressure container and which cap part is on one of the dispensing openings opposite side has a connection opening that can be connected to the interior of the container, with a discharge channel connecting this connection opening to the discharge opening, which is surrounded towards the discharge opening by a wall forming part of the cap part, which is formed from two parts, one of which is designed as an elastic wall and extends from the dispensing mouth towards the connection opening in the cap part,
while the other is designed as a substantially rigid wall, and a movable beak member accommodated in a recess extending approximately in the axial direction, based on the main axis of the dispensing channel, in the upper end wall of the cap part, which is connected to the cap part in such a way that an elastic and after the mouth to extend resiliently in the direction of the latter to load ter, movable arm of the beak member with its free end from the outside against the elastic wall and this presses against the rigid wall and thus closes the mouth, the pressure force of the arm is dimensioned so that it is overcome at a certain excess pressure in the output channel and the elastic wall pushes the free end of the beak link arm away from the rigid wall and thereby opens the mouth.
as long as this overpressure prevails in the output channel.
Such an automatic closure has already been described in Swiss patent specification 567 972.
The closure according to this Swiss patent is primarily suitable for use with tubes, bottles or similar containers with flexible, compressible walls. The object of the present invention is to redesign the closure of this main patent so that it is suitable for use as an actuating head for pressure vessels with an outlet valve.
Such pressure vessels provided with an outlet valve are primarily used as aerosol atomizers, with an actuating head with an output spray nozzle being placed on the movable valve member. These pressure vessels are filled, among other things, with products which, under the influence of the propellant housed in the pressure vessel in the same space as the product or in a separate cartridge, escape as foam when dispensed. Such foam-forming products include shaving cream, but also whipped cream and the like. The propellants used are primarily gases liquefiable under pressure, so-called liquefied gases such as propane, freon 12, the latter usually with an addition of freon "11, but also carbon dioxide and dimethyl ether.
After these products have been dispensed, a remnant of product in foam form usually remains in the passage of the actuating head right into the nozzle, and there is a risk that this product residue, which is in direct contact with the outside air outside the dispensing valve, will age, decompose and, under certain circumstances, break down Provides breeding ground for harmful bacteria.
It is therefore a special purpose of the invention to protect this product residue in the actuating head against the effects of the outside air.
The above-mentioned object is achieved and the last-mentioned purpose is achieved by a closure of the type described at the beginning, which is characterized in that the dispensing channel extends in a first channel area from the connection opening into the interior of the cap part and from there at an angle towards the mouth, wherein the cross section of the output channel in the second channel area extending to the mouth from the mouth to the bend and also the cross section of the first channel area from the connection opening to the bend are constant or decrease so that the cap part at the end of the recess facing away from the mouth Part of the cap has a recess which opens into the transverse wall of the recess and represents an extension of the latter,
and that the beak member at its end opposite the free end of the beak member arm has an end portion which is inserted into the recess.
The movable arm of the beak member can have at its free end an angled, preferably perpendicular, lip extending to the longitudinal axis of the dispensing channel, the lip edge of which is convexly curved for contact with the flexible wall zone, and the area of the rigid part of the channel wall opposite this lip edge, on which the flexible wall zone is pressed by the said lip in the closed position can be designed in a correspondingly convex manner in adaptation to the concave lip edge, while the angle between the flexible wall zone and the rigid wall part in the mouth plane is at most 90 "and preferably less and the channel wall is designed at the mouth so,
that the contact edge of the flexible wall zone, which is convexly curved in the closed position, and the concave contact zone of the rigid wall part adapted to this curvature are of the same length.
The cross-section of the channel region extending from the mouth to the bend is preferably constant. The cross section of the channel area extending from the mouth to the bend can also be constant.
The wall surrounding the connection opening is preferably designed to be tightly attached to the movable valve member of the outlet valve of a pressure container.
Furthermore, the closure can be surrounded by a guide plate which can be firmly connected to the wall of the container in the vicinity of the outlet valve and which has a window through which the mouth of the discharge channel can spit product out of the pressure container.
Further details and advantages of the closure according to the invention are explained below with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which:
1 shows a preferred embodiment of the closure according to the invention in a perspective view and with the mouth closed;
2 shows a perspective view of the same closure, but cut open along the longitudinal axis of the dispensing channel and with the mouth opened;
3 shows a perspective view of the closure similar to that shown in FIG. 2, but with the guide plate cut open, placed on a pressure vessel, and FIG
Figure 4 shows the same view as in Figure 3, but with the beak member removed.
The embodiment shown in the drawing comprises a cap part 1 with a wall 2 surrounding the connection opening 2a, in which the dispensing channel 3 extends with a first vertical channel area 3a to the bend 3b and from this with the horizontal channel area 3c to the mouth 4.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the channel area 3a has a circular cross section and the channel area 3c has a lens-shaped constant cross section. As a result, when producing the cap part 1 by means of injection molding, the core does not present any difficulty.
The part of the channel region 3a which is situated towards the mouth 4 is surrounded by an uninterrupted wall which forms part of the cap part 1 and which faces upwards, i.e.
is designed as an elastic wall 6 on its side facing away from the pressure vessel 27, and is designed as a rigid wall 5 at the bottom.
In the rear part of the wall, towards the bend 3b, the upper wall 6 is also rigid. The wall has a recess 1b in its surface, the bottom of which is formed by the elastic wall 6.
On the transverse wall lc of the recess lb facing away from the mouth 4, there is a recess 10 in the rigid wall part above the dispensing channel 3, into which a beak member 7 is firmly pressed with its end part 11 facing away from the mouth 4. The part of the beak member 7 looking out of the recess 10 forms an ela-elastic arm 7a which is resiliently loaded with a lip 7c located at its free end in contact with the elastic wall 6.
A particularly good sealing closure of the mouth 4 is achieved in that the mouth edge 5a of the rigid wall 5 is concave and the corresponding de contact edge of the lip 7c is correspondingly convex, as well as by the same length of the contact edge of the elastic wall 6 and with it when Closing the
Muzzle 4 in contact rigid mouth edge
5a. The two edges form with each other in the plane of the mouth an angle of about 45 "defined by their tangents at the apex.
The wall 2 around the connection opening 2a is tightly and firmly connected to the movable valve stem 25 of the outlet valve 26 of the pressure vessel 27. On the outer edge 28 of the pressure vessel 27, a protective shield 29, e.g.
attached by bead 29a. The correspondingly designed cap part 1 is guided in this protective shield when it is actuated. The shield 29 has a window 30 through which the wall 5 of the mouth 4 protrudes. On the opposite side, a recess 31 for the actuating finger of the hand holding the pressure container 27 can be provided in the edge of the shield 29.
The user operates the device by pressing with the tip of the finger resting in the recess 31 on the upper end face 32 of the cap part 1, whereby the outlet valve 26 of the pressure vessel 27 from the closed position shown in FIG. 1 into the output position of FIG. 2 is depressed.
As a result, under the pressure of the thickening agent in the pressure vessel 27, product, preferably in foam form, possibly also as a paste, enters the output channel 3. Upon penetration into the channel area 3c of the latter, the product lifts supported by possibly already running ahead of it
Propellant, the elastic wall 6, so that the contact edge of this wall from the mouth edge 5a of the rigid wall 5 while lifting the lip
7c and tensioning the elastic and resilient arm 7a of the
Beak member 7 lifts off and from the convex system position ment at the mouth edge 5a in the opposite concave
Snapped position. With appropriately chosen material, e.g. Polyethylene finds none during the transition
Damming and shortening of the elastic zone edge, but instead an S-shaped deformation as a transition stage to the concave position.
If the finger lets go of the cap part 1, it returns from the open position of FIG. 4 to the closed position of FIG. 3 under the pressure of the return spring element (not shown) that is always present in the valve in such pressure vessels. As a result, the overpressure prevailing in the output channel 3 drops immediately, and the arm 7a of the beak member 7 pushes the elastic wall 6 at the mouth 4 back from its concave into the convex position on the rigid wall 5 along the mouth edge 5a by means of its lip 7c. As a result, the mouth 4 is hermetically closed and the residual product remaining in the channel 3 is reliably protected against the influence of the outside air.
