The present invention relates to a grinding device for connection to small machine tools, in particular drilling machines, polishing machines, angle grinders.
It is known to use small electric hand machine tools, e.g. B. Drills to clamp a grinding wheel.
The grinding wheel is then set in rotating motion.
However, such a grinder has various disadvantages.
Since the grinding wheel is circular and driven in the center of the circle, the outer parts of the wheel move faster than its inner parts. In addition, the rotation of the grinding wheel is slowed down if the grinding wheel is pressed too hard against the workpiece to be ground. Such a braking effect arises in particular when the electric motor of the hand machine tool is comparatively weak or the speed of rotation cannot be regulated. With such a known grinding device, therefore, no clean work can be achieved, especially not by a non-specialist.
The aim of the invention is to create a grinding device which can be used to grind evenly and which is also suitable for non-experts or hobbyists.
The grinding device according to the invention is characterized by a connection part which can be connected coaxially and non-rotatably to the tool spindle of the machine tool, by a tool holding part to which a grinding wheel is attached, and by an intermediate part which connects the connection part with the tool holding part, the connection part with the intermediate part rigidly connected, but the tool holding part is rotatably mounted in the intermediate part about its axis and the axis of rotation of the tool holding part is arranged eccentrically to the axis of rotation of the connecting part, whereby the grinding wheel is moved substantially back and forth during operation. An exemplary embodiment of the grinding device according to the invention is described below with reference to the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows the grinding device from the side, and
Fig. 2 shows a view from the right of the tool holding part and the intermediate part.
The additional grinding device essentially consists of a connection part 1, a tool holding part 2 and an intermediate part 3. The connection part 1 can be connected to a small electrical machine tool, e.g. B. drill, polisher, angle grinder can be connected. The connection can be made, for example, by means of internal or external threads or a connection shaft. In Fig. 1, the connection part 1 is provided with an internal thread. It is connected coaxially and non-rotatably to the tool holding shaft of the machine tool. The intermediate part 3 is firmly connected to the connection part 1; the two parts can also consist of one piece together. The tool part 2 is freely rotatable about its axis in the intermediate part 3, for. B. by means of ball bearings. The grinding wheel 4 is fixedly or removably attached to the tool holding part 2.
In the example, it is attached by screwing. The intermediate part 3 is designed here to be cylindrical. But it could also be different, e.g. B.
be designed as an arm. The axis of rotation of the tool holding part 2 has the same direction as the axis of rotation of the connection part 1, but is arranged eccentrically to the axis of rotation of the connection part.
Since the connecting part 1 with the intermediate part 3 is set in rotating motion by the tool holding shaft of the electric machine tool, but the tool holding part 2 is mounted eccentrically and freely rotatable, the grinding wheel 4 is hardly rotated, but is forced to move back and forth. This enables the workpiece to be sanded evenly and powerfully, even by a non-specialist. A braking effect of the grinding wheel 4 on the electric motor is not possible here because the working distance of the grinding wheel 4 is only short. The grinding wheel can of course be covered with a wide variety of abrasive papers or abrasive foils, so that the device can be used to process plastics, wood, metals, etc. The device is also suitable for filling and sanding paintwork on car bodies.
