Fig. 3 einen Schnitt entlang der Linie III-III der Fig. 2.
The invention relates to a method for sorting
Particles of different coefficients of friction and a device for carrying out the method.
There are various methods and devices for
Separating and sorting of particles is known. Lots of these
Sorting processes are based on the difference in weight, the difference in density and the size of particles
Although helical chutes for sorting
Particles were used, such slides consisted of
Wire mesh or perforated sections to enable the sorting of particles according to their size.
Furthermore, helical slideways and Zy clones are known in which particles are sorted from one another by centrifugal force, which force acts on particles of different masses or shapes.
It is the object of the invention to provide a method and a
To propose device for sorting particles according to the various coefficients of friction.
This is achieved by the method mentioned at the beginning, which is characterized in that a plurality of particles with different coefficients of friction are caused by gravity in
Movement is set so that the moving particles are guided in a helical path, whereby they are in
Frictional contact with the surfaces of several helical turns are brought until the trajectory of each particle is radially equidistant from the
Stabilized screw axis, and that groups of particles of different coefficients of friction are removed from the corresponding different radially extending falling paths.
The inventive device is characterized in that it has a helical massive slide and means for holding the slide in a vertical position, that each radial cross-section of the slide to the horizontal includes an angle that is greater than 0 and less than 90 ", that means for placing the particles on the upper part of the chute, which particles then move down the chute, the chute having at least such a number of helical turns that each particle sliding downward in frictional contact with the chute has one radially im has the same distance from the screw axis distant trajectory,
and that in the lower part of the chute several drainage chutes are provided below the critical number of helical turns for a stable fall path, each drainage chute being arranged on the slide at a different radial distance from the screw axis, which distance corresponds to the fall path of the particle to be sorted.
Particles are guided or set in motion by gravity along a helical chute. After the particles have slid down a sufficiently large distance in the helical chute, each moving particle will stabilize on a downward path which is radially equidistant from the axis of the helical chute. The radial distance of the particle depends on its coefficient of friction.
Particles with a large coefficient of friction tend to form tightly closed circular trajectories close to the axis of the helical chute, whereas particles with a low coefficient of friction tend to form trajectories radially further away from the axis of the helical chute. After the falling trajectories have stabilized, particles are removed from their respective falling trajectories by chutes in order to sort them according to the values of their coefficients of friction.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to a drawing, for example. Show it:
1 shows a plan view of a device for sorting particles,
Fig. 2 is a side view of the same, with the device partially broken away and partially shown in section, and
FIG. 3 shows a section along the line III-III in FIG. 2.
The sorting device 10 includes a helical chute 12 with a solid upper surface 13 of constant width.
The slide 12 can be mounted on the device 10 in various ways, but it must be set up vertically so that its screw axis is vertical.
As can be seen from the figures, the inner edge is supported
14 of the slide 12 on the upper surface of a cylindrical column 15 on which it is also fixed. This column extends concentrically within the central part of the device 10. The upper part of the column 15 is cut off so that the inner edge 14 of the upper part of the slide 12 communicates with the interior of the column 15. Further down, as can be seen from FIG. 2, the wall of the column 15 is cut out in such a way that a slot 16 is formed there through which a free access into the interior of the column 15 between the inner edge 14 of the slide 12 and the column 15 arises.
The outer peripheral edge 18 of the chute 12 is also formed helically and, as can be seen from the figures, it is supported on the inner surface of an outer cylindrical wall 20. The slide 12 is held in its position between the column 15 and the outer cylindrical wall 20 by means, such as triangular plates 22, the edges of which are welded to the bottom surface 23 of the slide 12 and the inner surface of the cylindrical outer wall 20.
The inlet part 25 of the chute, which is arranged in the upper part of the device 10, is formed as an outlet which runs tangentially to the chute 12 and is intended to receive the particles to be sorted.
The lower part of the column 15 ends above the bottom of the outer wall 20 and is in communication with a discharge chute 27 so that all particles from the device sliding out of the chute 12 over the inner edge 14 into the space within the hollow column 15 through this Drain chute 27 are removed. Such particles are particles of a very high coefficient of friction, such as rubber.
An inner discharge chute 28, a middle discharge chute 29 and an outer discharge chute 30 open into the lower part of the chute 12, whereby they assume different, radially tapering positions relative to the chute 12.
The mutual gradation of the radially tapering positions of the corresponding chutes 28, 29 and 30 is irrelevant.
In operation, if z. B. a scrap material consisting of a car is to be sorted, particles such as rubber 31, insulated copper wire 32, aluminum and copper 33 and zinc 34 of different coefficients of friction are placed on the inclined inlet surface 25 of the chute by conventional conveying means, not shown, such as a conveyor belt, so that the particles 31-34 are set in motion by gravity down the inlet 25 of the chute. As the particles 31-34 move down the helical chute 12, they find a stable falling trajectory based on their respective coefficients of friction.
Basically two forces act on each particle 31-34, namely gravity, i.e. H. the weight of the particle, with its normal component acting against the chute 12, and with a component by which the particle is moved down the chute, and a frictional force acting between the surface 31 of the chute 12 and the contact surface of the Particle acts. The frictional force acts parallel to and against the motive force, which is the parallel component of the weight of the particle. As a result, each particle will be moved on a stable falling trajectory after the initial vibrations of the particles have ceased.
The stable trajectory of each particle is determined mathematically by the following equation: r = h / 2 X a, in which r is the radius of a stable trajectory of the particle, i.e. H.
is the radial distance of the particle from the axis of the device, h is the slope per screw turn of the chute or the vertical pitch of the helical chute, and a is the coefficient of friction of the corresponding material.
Accordingly, in device 10, where h is a constant, the radial location of each particle 31-34 after the particles have stabilized is solely a function of the coefficient of friction of the corresponding particle.
In FIG. 2, the stable trajectory of the particle 33 with a radius r and the inclination per screw turn of the chute 12 is denoted by h. In Fig. 3, particles 32, 33 and 34 are shown on their respective stable falling trajectories.
In order to sort out the particles, such as the particles 32, 33 and 34 shown in FIG. 3, in groups whose coefficients of friction correspond to the individual stable falling tracks, discharge chutes 28, 29 and 30 are arranged at the appropriate locations to separate the particles from these particular ones Remove radial positions. Any particles that have the same coefficient of friction as the particles 32 are discharged through the inner chute 28.
Those particles that have the same coefficient of friction as the particles 33 are passed through the chute
29 and those particles which have at least one coefficient of friction which corresponds to that of the particles 34 are discharged through the outer discharge chute 30.
Particles that have a very high coefficient of friction, such as rubber 31, tend to form a fall path that is located within the inner edge 14 of the slide 12. They will therefore fall over the rim 14 at one point during their downward movement, either in the top of the column 15 or through the slot
16 into the interior of the column 15, from which they are discharged through the middle chute 27.
An important feature of the slide 12 is that each transverse profile of the slide 12 forms an angle with the horizontal which is greater than 0 but less than 90 ". A very satisfactory working device 10 has been provided with a slide 12, the radial transverse profile of which forms an angle of approximately 45 "with the horizontal, as can be seen from FIG.
Generally when the radial cross-section of the slide
12 forms an angle of approximately 45 "with the horizontal, the chute 12 must have at least two or three turns to allow sufficient time and space to allow the vibrations of the particles to be dampened and the trajectories of the particles to be stabilized. before an exact sorting can take place.
It is also important for the device 10 to function properly that all of the particles 31-34 have shapes that allow frictional contact between the particle and the surface 13 of the chute 12. If the particles are shaped or moved at such a speed that a rolling friction arises between the particles and the surface 13, then the frictional influence of the slide 12 on the particle is so greatly reduced that the particle no longer moves according to the above-mentioned Equation for a stable trajectory moving. Indeed, the rolling particles are driven by centrifugal force to the outer edge 18 of the chute 12, where they collide against the inner surface of the outer wall 20 and are ultimately discharged through the outer chute 30 regardless of their coefficient of friction.
Such rolling particles must be reintroduced into the device, either they are introduced into the inlet 25 of the chute in such a way that a sliding friction arises, or they must be given new shapes in order to avoid the rolling frictional contact.
It goes without saying that after the particles have been sorted according to their coefficients of friction, they are discharged through the corresponding discharge chutes 27-30 into corresponding deposition sites, containers or conveyor belts.
