Fig. 1 ein Schneidmesser gemäss einer ersten Ausführungsform;

The present invention relates to a cutting knife clamped in a holder.
In devices for cutting vegetables or fruits there are cutting knives which are generally fixed with their two ends in holding members.
The cutting knife is fastened in the usual way with the aid of mechanical means or by pressing or welding the cutting knife into bearing points of the holding members. The fastening of the individual knives in such devices, which can for example have up to twelve cutting knives, is a time-consuming operation which makes the manufacture of the device more expensive. In addition, depending on the intended use of the cutting device, the individual knives should be clamped in an elastically resilient and easily exchangeable manner, but this is not possible with the conventional types of fastening.
The present invention aims to remedy the aforementioned disadvantages.
The cutting knife clamped in a holder is characterized according to the invention in that the knife is inserted with its two ends in a recess of the holder and is held in this with the aid of a locking means and that a part of a loop formed at one end of the knife is in contact with the Holder a spring force can be achieved in the longitudinal axis of the knife.
Embodiments of the subject matter of the invention will now be explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. In the drawing show:
1 shows a cutting knife according to a first embodiment;
2 shows a cutting knife according to a second embodiment, and
FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of the cutting knife according to FIG. 1 clamped in a holder.
The cutting knife 10 illustrated in FIG. 1 has a cutting blade 11 with cutting teeth 12 or the like. One end of the knife has a loop 13 in the form of a U-shaped bracket. The end 15 of the knife opposite this loop 13 is provided with a through hole 16. The cutting knife 10 is made of a band-shaped spring steel with a rectangular cross section.
In FIG. 2, a second embodiment of a cutting knife 20 is illustrated, which in turn has a cutting knife 21 with cutting members 22, preferably cutting teeth. One end of the cutting knife has an annular, open screw 23, while the knife end 25 opposite this loop is provided with a through hole 26. In this embodiment, too, the cutting knife is made from a spring steel sheet of rectangular cross section.
A holder with a clamped cutting knife is shown in FIG. 3, the holder being shown purely schematically in a cutting device instead of an actual cutting member.
On a base plate 30, two projections 31 and 32 are provided for receiving the cutting knife. In each projection a gap 33, 34 directed parallel to the longitudinal axis of the plate is provided, which gaps serve to accommodate the knife 10 and 20, respectively. The gaps 33 and 34, like the gap 33 in the projection 31, can be closed at the top, or else, like the gap 34 in the projection 32, remain open at the top. The cutting knife is guided in these two recesses 33, 34, the gap intended to partially accommodate the loop-shaped knife end being designed so wide that it corresponds to at least twice the material thickness of the knife.
The loop 13 or 23 now has the function of enabling an elastically resilient clamping of the knife.
In fact, when using a knife according to FIG. 1, the free leg 14 is also guided into the gap 33 and the knife 10 is held in the holder with the aid of a pin 35 inserted into the hole 15. The elastic support is ensured by the loop. This elastic holder thus enables the knife to be clamped in the holder quickly and easily; the secure fit of the knife is ensured due to the spring force caused by the loop.
While when using the knife according to Fig.
1 the loop 13 is causal for the generation of the spring effect, takes over in the knife design according to FIG.
2 the free resilient end 24 of the Lreisring-shaped loop 23 this function, inden this end on the side wall 36 of the projection 31 comes to rest.
