The invention relates to an arrangement for connecting a substantially two concentric, corrugated
Metal pipes and a line pipe located between the metal pipes and a foam layer with a further line, with a threaded and flange-provided sleeve screwed into the outer, helically corrugated pipe, which has a through-hole whose diameter corresponds to the outer diameter of the Corrugation of the inner tube almost corresponds.
The connection technology on corrugated pipes causes considerable difficulties because of the corrugation, because a perfect sealing surface on the pipe cannot easily be achieved, especially when conduit pipes with corrugated inner and outer pipes are to be connected to a flange in a watertight and force-transmitting manner.
It is already known to connect such conduit pipes with a connecting piece in such a way that a threaded flange is screwed into the outer pipe, which inside receives a threaded bushing screwed onto the inner pipe.
The sealing surface for the inner pipe is produced by letting the inner pipe protrude a few threads from the socket and squeezing the protruding pipe end against the socket. Any unevenness on the sealing surface is then filled with soft solder. The disadvantage of this connection is that it promotes corrosion in the gaps in the area of the pinch point in the case of pipes made of stainless steel. In addition, the seal between the inner and outer pipes is very difficult, so that moisture can penetrate into the foam insulation.
With a further flange connection, the problem is solved in that the corrugation of the inner tube is brought out by means of a rolling device in the area of the connection point and a sealing ring is placed on the smoothly rolled tube, which is encapsulated in a divided chamber. The gaps caused by the division of the chamber are sealed by wire rings. The tightness of the connection against water, compressed air etc. from the outside and inside is achieved by the fact that when the connection is screwed, the soft sealing material is pressed firmly against the chamber, wire ring and raw wall and thus blocks every path. A great assembly effort is to be seen as a disadvantage with this connection. Furthermore, this connection is not suitable for absorbing large longitudinal forces.
The aim of the invention is to create a flange connection which is absolutely tight even at high internal pressures and which is also suitable for absorbing large longitudinal forces of the inner pipe.
The connection arrangement according to the invention is characterized in that the end section of the inner tube is rolled into the wall of the bore.
Exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are described below with reference to the schematic drawing. The pipe to be connected with a similar or a connecting piece or branch piece consists of a corrugated metallic inner pipe 1, a corrugated metallic outer pipe 2, a foam layer 3 arranged between the pipes 1 and 2, a corrosion protection layer 4 applied to the outer pipe 2 and an outer jacket 5 , for example made of polyethylene. Such conduits are known from DT-OS 1,525,658.
In preparation, the outer pipe 2 is first deposited together with the corrosion protection layer 4 and the outer jacket 5 and the foam layer 3 between the pipes 1 and 2 is removed over a certain length. A flange piece 6 is then screwed into the outer tube 2 by means of a coarse thread 8 attached to a shaft 7. The bore 9 of the flange 6 should be selected so that the corrugation peaks of the inner tube 1 rest against the wall of the bore 9. A rolling device known per se is then inserted into the inner tube 1 and the corrugation is pressed out of the inner tube 1 and the rolled end of the inner tube 1 is rolled into the tube wall 9. As a result of the high contact pressures generated during rolling, the material of the inner tube 1 begins to flow, both in the radial and in the axial direction, and penetrates into the micropores of the bore 9.
After the inner tube 1 has been rolled into the flange 6, a connecting bush 10 is inserted (FIGS. 1, 3) and also rolled into the inner wall of the inner tube 1. A curved or straight pipe section 11 can then be soldered or welded to this connecting sleeve 10. For connection to a flange piece, e.g. B. that of a similarly prepared pipe end, the flanges can be screwed together by means of screw bolts, a seal must be provided between the flanges.
In order to prevent moisture from penetrating from the outside into the annular space between the outer tube 2 and the inner tube 1, a sleeve 12 made of a suitable rubber-elastic material is provided, which is attached to the flange 6 and the plastic jacket 5 by means of clamps 13.
A flange connection is shown schematically in FIG.
In the bore 9 of the flange 6 at least one roll-in groove 14 is provided, into which the flowing material of the inner tube 1 is firmly pressed during the rolling process, so that an improved clamping of the inner tube 1 in the bore 9 of the flange 6 is ensured. The exemplary embodiment has three such roll-in grooves. A flange 15, which is firmly clamped to the flange 6 by means of clamping bolts 16, is used to connect the prepared pipe end shown here to a pipe section 11. A seal 17, for example a chambered lead seal 17, is arranged between the flanges 15 and 6. The clamping bolts 16 are passed through bores 18 in the flange 15 and screwed into corresponding threaded bores 19 in the flange 6.
After this work has been completed, the pipe section 11 is welded or soldered to the flange 15 as shown at 20.
In Figure 3, a connection is shown in which the connecting sleeve 10 has a circumferential annular indentation and / or elevation 21 which engages in the rolling groove 14 and thus ensures a particularly tight and non-positive connection. This embodiment is particularly suitable for large inner pipe diameters. As dents or elevations z. B. a thread, grooves or projections may be provided.
The main advantage of the described arrangements can be seen in this. that it has now been possible to develop a non-detachable mechanical connection for corrugated pipes that seals properly and is able to absorb high tensile forces. Because of the high contact pressure, there are no gaps that could lead to crevice corrosion.
This connection is suitable for all metals, especially copper and stainless steel.
