Fig. 2 einen Querschnitt nach Linie II-II in Fig. 1,
Fig 7 das Verbindungselement in perspektivischer Ansicht.

Wooden beams are connected to one another in a conventional manner with a groove, comb and clamp. This type of connection takes a long time and is relatively expensive. These versions are only suitable for connecting longitudinal timbers.
The present invention relates to a connecting element of components. The characteristic of the same is that it is formed from a polygonal, double dovetail-like body, the constrictions of which are located in the longitudinal center part.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown, namely show:
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section of the connecting element that connects two beams to one another,
Fig. 2 shows a cross section along line II-II in Fig. 1,
3 shows a view of FIG. 1 from the bottom,
4 shows a view from below of two beams which meet in a corner and are connected to one another by the connecting element,
5 shows the end face of a beam with the inserted connecting element in an axonometric view,
6 shows the end faces of a beam with the cutout which is intended to receive half of the connecting element and
7 shows the connecting element in a perspective view.
The example shows the connection of two bars 2, 3, respectively. 3, 5, e.g. B. made of wood, through the connecting element 1.
The formation of the double dovetail-like connecting element is shown in FIG. 7. The connecting element 1 consists of a square, prismatic, double-dovetail-like body. The constriction 8 formed by the double dovetail is located in the longitudinal center part of the connecting element 1. The outer contour side 6 in the connected state is flat and runs parallel to the longitudinal axis 7 of the connecting element. The three other outline sides 6 ′ run at obtuse angles to the longitudinal axis 7. The rounded edges 4 ′ are located on the corner parts facing away from the flat outline side 6. The end faces 6 ″ of the connecting element are at right angles to the longitudinal axis 7 and run parallel to one another.
The cutouts 1 'in the beams 3, 5 and the double dovetail formation of the connecting element are made using a template in the manner described in Swiss patent no.
379 348 described manner, in relation to a milling cutter which widens in diameter towards its free end.
According to Fig. 1, the connecting element 1 engages in dovetail-shaped cutouts 1 of the beams 2, 3, which are attached to the end faces of the latter, and connects them to one another in the longitudinal direction. The dovetail-shaped cutouts 1 'according to FIGS. 1 and 6 are attached, for example, to the underside of the beams 2 and 3 and allow the connecting element 1 to be inserted from the underside. The upper longitudinal edges 4 of the connecting element 1 are rounded and facilitate insertion into the cutouts 1 ', which also have rounded edges 4' for the purpose of form-fitting engagement.
In the corner connection according to FIG. 4, one cutout 1 'is made on the longitudinal side of the beam 3 and the other cutout 1' is made on the end face of the beam 5. The connecting element 1 engages with its dovetail half in the relevant cutouts of the beams 3, 5 and connects the long side of the former with the front side of the latter. Of course, the cutout 1 'can also be at another point, e.g. B. between the end faces of the beam 3 may be provided.
The bars 2, 3, 4, 5 etc. can be prefabricated as standardized components in certain lengths L (FIGS. 3 and 4) and also be provided with standardized cutouts 1 on the front and lengthways. The double dovetail-like connecting elements 1 are of course precisely adapted to the dimensions of the cutouts 1 '.
Thanks to the described subject matter of the invention, it is more likely to create components with prefabricated receiving means for the connecting element and to keep them in stock to a greater extent. Depending on the size and shape of the buildings to be constructed, the beams prepared for connection are available on demand and guarantee a quick and secure connection of the beams, similar to the modular principle. The connecting element 1 consists of wood or another material when the beams 3, 5 are made of this material.
