Fig. 1 einen Grundriss und
The invention relates to a circuit board arrangement in a slide-in, with connectors for plug-in cards, several of which are arranged side by side in racks arranged in rows above or next to one another, and for connectors of cables for connecting the individual circuit boards of the arrangements different slots among each other.
Larger electronic systems usually consist of individual structural units that are combined, for example, in 19-inch racks in a device rack. Each of the plug-in units in turn comprises a plurality of units which consist of various components, such as, for example, pulse counters, display devices or plates carrying integrated circuits. Such components are referred to below as plug-in cards. The plug-in cards are inserted into fixed multiple plugs from the operating side of the insert. The multiple plugs are soldered onto a circuit board, which creates the cross connections between the individual plug-in cards of a plug-in unit.
In order to electrically connect the various plug-in units to one another, wires or cable bundles are attached to the rear of the printed circuit board carrying the multiple plugs by soldering or other methods. These lead either directly to other slots or to multiple plugs attached to the slot. Such multiple plugs for connecting connecting cables can be soldered directly on the back of the circuit board, but such an arrangement is very complex, since the soldering pins of the multiple plugs arranged on both sides of the circuit board then have to be individually soldered on the opposite side and because of the arrangement of the multiple plugs attention must be paid to the necessary accessibility.
In addition, immersion soldering is not possible in this case.
The invention is based on the object of simplifying the connection possibility for the connections of individual slide-in units with one another or with other supply and exit lines.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that a flexible printed circuit board carries multiple plugs on one and the same surface both for connecting the plug-in cards and for connecting connecting cables.
Advantageously, the circuit board consists of two halves and a curved center piece lying between them, the first half carrying the multiple plugs for the plug-in cards, and the second half being fastened in a holder and carrying the multiple plugs for the connec tion cable
It is also useful if the center piece of the circuit board is bent at an angle of 1800 so that the two halves of the circuit board lie in two planes approximately parallel to one another.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing.
It means:
Fig. 1 is a plan and
Figure 2 is a sectional elevation of a single drawer.
In both figures, 1 denotes a frame of the slide-in unit shown. Several such inserts can be arranged one above the other or next to one another in a frame (not shown). A flexible printed circuit board 2 consists of a first half 3, a second half 4 and a flexible middle piece 5 lying between them. With its half 3 it rests on two side rails 6 and 7 of the frame 1. Furthermore, several parallel multiple plugs 8, of which only two are shown in FIG. 1, are soldered into the first half 3 via their solder pins 9.
The multiple plugs themselves are screwed at their ends to an S-shaped rail 10 each. The rails 10 are in turn attached to angles 11 of the frame 1. The multiple plugs 8 are used to accommodate plug-in cards 12 that carry any components or circuits not shown in the drawings.
The middle piece 5 of the circuit board 2 connecting the two halves 3 and 4 is bent at an angle of 1800 so that the two halves of the circuit board form two planes parallel to one another. The second half 4 is fastened in a holder. A cross member 13, which in turn is connected to the frame 1, is used for this purpose. The second half 4 carries multiple plugs 14 and 15 for round or flat connecting cables. In the exemplary embodiment, the multiple plugs are only held on the second half 4 of the circuit board 2 by their soldering pins 16, but additional fastening elements connected to the cross member 13 of the holder can also be provided.
In the case of the multiple plug 14, its counterpart can be inserted in a direction perpendicular to the planes formed by the circuit board 2, while in the case of the multiple plug 15 the direction of insertion is parallel to these planes.
The multiple plugs 14 and 15 are used both to supply power and to connect the various plug-in units to one another.
The advantage of the described arrangement lies in the fact that there is no longer any wiring work to be carried out on the plug-in units, with all the possible errors. Since all multiple plugs are arranged on the same side in the unbent state of the circuit board, their soldering pins 9, 9 and 16 can be connected by wave soldering in the same operation.
