Abstract
The solar energy collector has a sun facing plate with supper face consisting of pyramids of square cross section. The pyramid height is only a few millimetres. This arrangement ensures that the surface of the solar collector is readily cleaned. Instead of square cross section pyramids can also be used hemispherical projections or hollow conical projections. The design of this solar energy collector is based on the consideration that the effect of the solar radiation on the energy collector depends on the shape of the solar energy collector surface.
Description

The invention relates to a solar collector.
Scientific tests have shown that the effect of solar radiation is strongly dependent on the design of the surface of the solar collectors.
The solar collector according to the invention has been developed in accordance with these findings. It is characterized by the fact that the collector surface that can be exposed to sunlight has elevations.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. It shows the solar collector with square pyramids in an isometric view.
The solar collector surface is formed by elevations 1, which can be pyramids with a square (figure) or triangular plan, cones or hemispheres and whose height is only a few millimeters.
A transparent plate 2 is placed over the elevations 1.
Because of the regular arrangement of the elevations 1 and because of the elevations themselves (instead of depressions), the solar collector can be easily cleaned.
PATENT CLAIM
Solar collector, characterized in that the solar irradiating collector surface has elevations (1).
SUBCLAIMS
A solar collector according to the patent claim, characterized in that the elevations (1) are formed by pyramids.
2. Solar collector according to dependent claim 1, characterized in that the pyramids have a square plan.
3. Solar collector according to dependent claim 1, characterized in that the pyramids have a rectangular plan.
4. Solar collector according to claim, characterized in that the elevations (1) are formed by hollow cones.
5. Solar collector according to claim, characterized in that the elevations (1) are formed by hemispheres.
