Abstract
In the folded-flat condition two opposite sidewalls lie one above the other. Parts of these walls are folded back onto them, and to them are glued flaps on the other two opposite sidewalls. In the erected condition the sidewalls can be at right angles to the base, or they can be trapezium-shaped, so that they converge when erected. A lid can be attached to the top edge of the one sidewall, and the flaps can also act as supports. The design allows box height and thus volume to be increased without alteration of the base area.
Description
**WARNUNG** Ende DESC Feld konnte Anfang CLMS uberlappen**.
The present invention relates to a folding box with point gluing, in which, when the glued box is folded up and lying flat, two opposing side walls lie one above the other.
Folding boxes with point gluing are known in which two opposing side walls in the glued, flat state do not lie one on top of the other, i. H. the height of the erected box can be a maximum of half the width of the box.
Since these boxes are limited in height by the conventional design to a maximum of half the box width, relatively low boxes result in relation to the base area.
The aim of the present invention is to increase the box height and thus the volume of folding boxes with point gluing, with the same base area of known folding boxes.
According to the invention, tabs are also arranged on the other opposing side walls. These flaps should be designed so that they are in the pre-folded state of the blank, i. H. if the first-mentioned side walls are already on top of one another, they can be glued to these walls.
Two exemplary embodiments of the invention are described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings:
Fig. 1 shows a flat-lying blank for a box with vertical side walls.
2 shows the same blank, pre-folded in the longitudinal direction, before the folded-over adhesive flaps arranged on the narrow side walls are folded over together with the narrow side walls against the longitudinal side walls and glued to the folded-back corners of the same.
FIG. 3 shows a flat and FIG. 4 shows a pre-folded blank for a box with side walls that converge slightly upwards.
PATENT CLAIM
Folding box with point gluing, characterized in that when the glued box is folded and lying flat, two opposing side walls lie one on top of the other, parts of these walls being folded back onto these and folded flaps arranged on the two other opposing side walls being glued to the parts mentioned .
SUBCLAIMS
1. Folding box according to claim, characterized in that in the erected state of the box, the side walls are at right angles to the bottom surface.
2. Folding box according to claim, characterized in that the side walls are trapezoidal so that the box has walls converging upwards in the upright state.
3. Folding box according to claim, characterized in that a cover part is arranged on a side wall upper edge.
4. Folding box according to claim, characterized in that the adhesive flaps arranged on said two other opposing side walls are also designed as support flaps.
