Abstract
The bracket is particularly for central heating pipes under a roof, and comprises a bar (3) running at right angles to the pipes, so that each pipe can slide along it. The bar itself can slide in slots (13) in a mounting (1) fixed to the roof, and in the lengthwise direction of the pipes. The design allows full freedom of expansion and contraction, even where the pipes extend for considerable distances and incorporate 90 deg. bends. Brackets (41) round the pipes are connected to hooked-shaped connecting pieces (4) by nuts and bolts (42). The hooked pieces (4) rest upon an elongated U-shaped metal bar (3) which in turn rests within slots at either end of brackets (12) of the mounting (1).
Description
The present invention relates to a device for suspending pipelines, in particular pipelines of a heating system, under a ceiling. The lines are mostly horizontally arranged distribution lines suspended from the basement ceiling. Such distribution lines often run parallel to the outside walls of the building because risers are led up here. As a result, such distribution lines usually have a few bends around 900 and therefore two-dimensional movements occur due to thermal expansion and contraction at some suspension points.
If the stretches are not stretched too much and if they are normally suspended with sufficiently long suspension straps, they are able to follow the two-dimensional movements. But if you want to hang longer distribution lines as close to the ceiling as possible, difficulties arise. The invention aims to create a suspension device which allows sufficient freedom of movement for the pipelines even in such cases.
The device according to the invention is characterized by a rod running transversely to the longitudinal direction of the pipes to be suspended, on which each pipe can be suspended transversely, while the rod itself is held displaceably in the longitudinal direction of the pipes in slots of a holder attached to the ceiling.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown in perspective. The drawing shows a suspension device in the position of use, on which two pipes R1, R2 running parallel to one another are suspended.
The device comprises a holder 1 made of sheet metal, which is provided with a slot 11 which is used to fasten the holder under a ceiling by means of a screw, not shown. The two side walls 12 ', 12 are provided with slot holes 13, 13' running parallel to the longitudinal direction of the pipelines Rs, R2. For stiffening, the holder has a rear wall 14 formed from a bent flap. In the slots 13, 13 'rests a rod 3 running transversely to the longitudinal direction of the lines R1, R2 with angled ends 31. The latter are only long enough to pass through the slot holes 13, 13 'can be passed through. However, they prevent the rod from sliding out of the holder 1.
The pipes R1, R2 are suspended from the rod 3 by means of hooks 4, 4 and pipe clamps 41, 41 '. The hooks and the clamps are connected to one another by means of screws 42, 42 '. The device described allows both a longitudinal displacement L and a transverse displacement Q of the pipelines. With a longitudinal displacement L, the rod 3 slides in the slots 13, 13 'of the holder 1. With a transverse displacement Q, the hooks slide on the rod 3. Both directions of displacement result from the expansion or contraction of the pipes R1, R2 when the heating system is heated or cooled, because the lines have a 90o bend.
