Fig. 1 einen Längsschnitt durch das Gerät,
Fig. 3 eine Seitenansicht zu Fig. 2, und
Fig. 4 ein Messer mit zugeordneter Führungsschiene.

The invention relates to a device for removing an end section of a plastic sheathing of an electrical conductor wire, which device is characterized by a clamping device for clamping the sheathed wire, a cutting device with two knives, which is operated by an electromagnet in the direction of the axis of the wire clamped in the clamping device Clamping device can be withdrawn, guide elements that are in operative connection with the knives to bring them closer together when they are pulled away from the clamping device, and a manually movable actuator for operating the clamping device and then closing a switch in a circuit of a winding of the electromagnet.
An exemplary embodiment of the device according to the invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of the drawing. In the drawing show:
1 shows a longitudinal section through the device,
2 shows, on a larger scale, an end view of a clamping device of the device,
3 shows a side view of FIG. 2, and
4 shows a knife with an associated guide rail.
The device shown has a clamping device 3 with a movable clamping jaw 20 (Fig. 2) at the front end of a sleeve-shaped housing, which can be displaced by a rotatable rod 6 via an eccentric (not shown) against the action of return springs 21 against a fixed clamping jaw. The clamping jaws are provided with grooves in the form of a fine thread at the point provided for receiving a conductor wire to be stripped. The clamping device is covered by a cap 14 which has a central hole for inserting the wire to be stripped.
A cutting device with two interacting knives 2 is arranged in the housing behind the clamping device. The knives 2 are carried by a spring clip which is attached to a pull rod 12 which is axially displaceable in the housing. This is connected to an armature 9 of an electromagnet, the winding of which can be drawn from the 220 V network via a connection cable 15. A switch 17 is connected via wires 8 in the circuit of the winding of the electromagnet.
The knives 2 rest on guide rails 4 which are flared at the front end of the housing so that the knives are distant from one another in their front end position (FIG. 4), but are brought closer to one another when they are pulled away from the clamping device 3 by the electromagnet will.
The operation of the device is as follows.
An electrical conductor wire 1, which is provided with a plastic sheath, an end section of which is to be removed, is inserted through the cap 14 and through the clamping device 3 up to a stop 3a, which is adjustably fastened to the pull rod 12 by means of a corded nut 5 is. An actuating pushbutton 7 is then pressed, whereby the rod 6 is first rotated via a bolt 10 and the movable clamping jaw 20 pushes against the fixed clamping jaw of the clamping device 3 in order to clamp the sheathed wire 1. When the wire is firmly clamped, the push button 7 closes the switch 17 so that the electromagnet is excited and pulls the knives 2 away from the clamping device 3 in the direction of the axis of the wire 1 via the pull rod 12.
The knives 2 are pushed against one another by the guide rails 4, cut through the plastic sheath of the wire 1 and pull the end section of this sheath cut off in the axial direction from the clamped wire.
After completion of this process, the push button 7 is released so that the switch 17 opens, the knives 2 are pushed back into their front end position by a return spring 24 and the clamping device 3 is released.
