The claim of the main patent relates to a roller with a deflection compensation device, for the pressure treatment of webs of material, in particular paper webs, which roller has a hollow cylindrical rotatable jacket and a stationary yoke that extends through it at both ends, with a radial yoke between the jacket and the yoke Axis of the roller displaceably guided pressure piece is located, and between the rotatable jacket and the pressure piece the pressure chamber for hydrostatic mounting of the jacket, and between the pressure piece and the yoke a pressure chamber of a servo motor serving to move the pressure piece towards the jacket is present, the pressure chamber the servomotor is connected to a supply line for pressure medium,
while the pressure chamber for hydrostatic mounting of the jacket is connected to this supply line via a throttle device, and a piston of the servomotor is displaceable in the axial direction of a cylinder of the servomotor which forms the pressure chamber and is guided in this cylinder so that it can be tilted, so that the pressure piece is held in the axial direction of the cylinder and is movably supported on the pressure medium located in the pressure chamber of the servomotor.
As a result of this support of the pressure piece relative to the yoke, the pressure piece can cling to the rotatable jacket without hindrance, regardless of the inclination of the yoke relative to the jacket.
The additional invention is based on the task of making this support more stable. According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the pressure chamber for the hydrostatic mounting of the jacket is divided into adjacent partial spaces by a dam, and that two partial spaces are connected to the supply line for pressure medium by means of separate throttle channels.
Embodiments of the invention are shown in simplified form in the drawing and are described in more detail below. Show it:
1 shows a vertical axial section through a roller with deflection compensation;
FIG. 2 shows a detail from FIG. 1 on a larger scale; FIG.
Fig. 3 is a view in the direction of arrow Z in Fig. 2;
FIG. 4 shows a section corresponding to FIG. 2 for another exemplary embodiment; FIG.
FIG. 5 shows a section corresponding to FIG. 2 for a further exemplary embodiment; FIG.
6 shows a vertical axial section through a further roller with deflection compensation;
Fig. 7 is a view in the direction of arrow Y in Fig. 6;
8 shows a vertical axial section through a further roller;
9 shows a cross section through a roller with four counter rollers.
The roller shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 for the pressure treatment of paper webs has a hollow cylindrical rotatable jacket 1 and a stationary yoke 2 which extends through this and is supported at both ends.
Between the jacket 1 and the yoke 2 in the yoke 2 are pressure pieces 3, which are displaceably guided radially to the axis of the roller. Between the rotatable jacket 1 and the pressure piece 3, the pressure chamber 4 of a hydrostatic bearing of the jacket 1 is formed on the pressure piece 3. Between the pressure piece 3 and the yoke 2, the pressure chamber 5 of a servo motor serving to move the pressure piece 3 against the casing 1 is formed. The pressure chamber 5 of the servo motor is connected to a supply line 6 for pressure medium.
The pressure chamber 4 of the hydrostatic bearing is connected to the supply line 6 with the interposition of a throttle device, consisting of throttle channels 71, 72, 73 and 74.
A piston 8 formed by the lower end of the pressure piece 3 and a cylinder 9 of the servo motor formed by a bore arranged in the yoke 2 are positioned relative to one another in the axial direction of the servo motor, i. H. guided displaceably essentially radially to the axis of the roller. This guide allows the piston 8 to incline relative to the cylinder 9. The pressure piece 3 is thus held in the axial direction and in the circumferential direction of the roller, but otherwise floats movably on the pressure medium located in the pressure chamber 5 of the servo motor.
As especially FIG. 2 clearly shows, in this way the pressure piece 3 can assume a stable equilibrium position between the rotatable jacket 1 and the stationary yoke 2. This equilibrium is stable in two respects.
First, the pressure medium coming from the supply line 6 into the pressure chamber 5 presses the pressure piece 3 against the jacket 1. Pressure medium flows from pressure chamber 5 through throttle device 71 to 74 into pressure chamber 4 with a loss of pressure. Via edge zone 10 of pressure chamber 4, pressure medium flows out into the space between jacket 1 and yoke 2 with expansion to atmospheric pressure. The amount of this outflowing pressure medium determines the size of the pressure loss in the throttle device 71 to 74. Thus, the pressure piece 3 floats in a stable equilibrium position between the yoke 2 and the jacket 1, at which equilibrium position the outflowing amount of pressure medium and thus the thickness of the pressure medium film in the edge zone 10 is kept constant.
Secondly, the pressure piece 3 floats in a stable equilibrium position with respect to its inclination with respect to the jacket 1. While the pressure piece 3 is freely movable with respect to the yoke 2 due to the floating mounting on the pressure medium located in the pressure chamber 5, this causes it in the edge zone 10 of the pressure chamber 4 located pressure medium that the thickness of the pressure medium film remains the same over the entire circumference of the edge zone 10.
If, for example, the part of the edge zone 10 lying on the left in the drawing becomes thicker and the part of the edge zone 10 lying on the right in the drawing becomes thinner, the pressure of the pressure medium would be lower in the area of the left-hand part of the edge zone 10, and in the area shown in the part of the edge zone 10 on the right of the drawing, the pressure of the pressure medium increases. The floating piece 3 would thus be pressed back into its central position with respect to the shell 1.
Reinforcement is provided for the stabilization mentioned in the second place. The bearing pocket of the hydrostatic mounting of the casing 1 on the pressure piece 3 is divided by a dam 11 into four sub-spaces 12t, 122, 123 and 124 lying next to one another along the wall of the casing 1. The sub-chambers 121 to 124 are connected to the supply line 6 for pressure medium via the pressure chamber 5 of the servomotor by the throttle channels 71 or 72 or 73 or 74, which are separate from one another. H. The separate throttle channel 71 leads from the pressure line 6 to the subchamber 121, the separate throttle channel 72 to the subchamber 122, etc.
This prevents the pressure piece 3 from tilting relative to the jacket 1 even more effectively. For example, if the thickness of the part of the edge zone 10 lying on the left in the drawing were to increase and the thickness of the part of the edge zone 10 lying on the right in the drawing were thinner, more pressure medium would flow out of subchamber 121 and less pressure medium would flow out of subchamber 122 . Accordingly, the pressure in subspace 121 would decrease, but increase in subspace 122. Since practically the entire effective pressure transfer area between jacket 1 and pressure piece 3 is involved in the reset in the position with, there is an extremely effective stabilization.
As the subspaces 121 and 122 stabilize the pressure piece 3 against tilting in relation to the shell 1 in the plane passing through the axis of the roller, the subspaces 123 and 124 provide stabilization against tilting in the plane perpendicular to the axis. In the simplest case, three sub-spaces lying next to one another in two directions that differ from one another would suffice for stabilization.
The stabilization against tilting in the plane perpendicular to the axis is particularly advantageous at high circumferential speeds of the shell 1 and can be improved in the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3 if one of the two bars of the dam 11 runs parallel to the axis of the roller. The cross shown in FIG. 3, formed by the dam 11, would then be rotated by an angle of 45 a with respect to the position shown, and the entire area of the subspaces would be used for stabilization. The subspaces of a pressure piece 3 can be different in size from one another.
The subdivision of the bearing pocket of the hydrostatic bearing into two or more sub-spaces also makes it possible to keep the edge zone 10 of the hydrostatic bearing, and thus the friction losses of the hydrostatic bearing, small.
In the case of the subdivision mentioned, the edge zone of the hydrostatic bearing is no longer needed for stabilization.
While the piston 8 of the servo motor in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3 is spherical, the piston of the servo motor in the embodiment according to FIG. 4 has a short rim 8 'in the axial direction of the servo motor, by means of which the piston is guided in the cylinder 9 of the servo motor is. Otherwise, however, there is a gap between the piston 8 and the wall of the cylinder 9. The pressure piece 3 is designed so that the width of the pressure transmission surface between jacket 1 and pressure piece 3 is greater than the distance between this pressure transmission surface and the piston and guide the cylinder of the servomotor relative to each other This makes the equilibrium position of the pressure piece 3 extremely stable.
To seal the gap between the piston 8 and the cylinder 9 of the servomotor, a seal 13 is provided, which allows the required inclination of the piston relative to the cylinder.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 5, the piston 8 of the servomotor is again formed by the lower end of the pressure piece 3. The piston 8 is cylindrical here and is surrounded by a ring 14 fastened to the cylinder 9 of the servomotor. This ring 14 is internally shaped like a paraboloid, i. H. beveled on the inside, and so short in the axial direction of the servomotor that it allows the axis of the piston 8 to tilt relative to the axis of the cylinder 9. On the inside of the ring 14 there is a groove 15 in which a sealing ring 16 made of plastic and touching the piston 8 is located. This sealing ring 16 is pressed against the piston 8 by means of an O-ring 17 made of rubber.
The throttle channels 71 and 72 are in an unscrewable piece 70 so that they are against those with a different throttle; effect can be exchanged.
As the example shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 shows, the pressure piece 3 can also be designed as a bar extending in the axial direction of the roller and practically extending over the entire length of the roller by dividing it into partial spaces. The bearing pocket of the hydrostatic bearing formed between the jacket 1 and the pressure piece 3 is divided into four sub-spaces in the axial direction of the roller. The two middle of these four subspaces are in turn subdivided into two subspaces in the circumferential direction of the roller. The individual subspaces are labeled 125, 12ss, 127, 128, 120, 1210 in FIG. Throttle channels 75 lead from supply line 6 into subspace 125, throttle channels 70 into subspace 126, etc.
For each sub-space, the dimensions of the associated throttle channels are matched to the dimensions of the part of the edge zone 10 of the hydrostatic bearing that serves as an overflow for the same sub-space so that the pressure of the pressure medium is the same in all sub-spaces for the same thickness of the pressure medium film of the edge zone 10 in all sub-spaces is
The roller shown in FIG. 8 again has several pressure pieces lined up in the direction of the axis of the roller, which are designated by 3t, 32, 33, 34 and 35. These pressure pieces are not connected to a common supply line 6, but a separate supply line 61 or 62 or 69 or 64 or 65 leads to each pressure piece.
The lines 61 to 65 can be acted upon by means of a regulating device 18 with pressures of different selectable pressures. The stabilization described in two respects makes it possible to change the force transmitted by the pressure piece from the yoke 2 to the jacket 1 within wide limits. Even with very small forces to be transmitted, the stabilized pressure piece still runs perfectly. In this way, the distribution of the treatment pressure across the width of the roller can be adapted to the most varied of operating conditions. For example, the treatment pressure at the edges of the paper web can be set to be weaker, or parts of the roller can run along without pressure during treatment.
Due to the perfect stabilization of the pressure pieces, the frictional heat of the hydrostatic bearing that occurs per unit of time also remains practically constant.
This makes the following possible. In the case of the rollers, which have pressure pieces lined up at a distance in the axial direction, the temperature of the pressure medium can be regulated to a value at which the amount of heat given off to jacket 1 as a result of friction in the hydrostatic bearing and the amount of heat given off by jacket 1 to the pressure medium are the same are. This prevents the jacket 1 from heating up in the area of the pressure pieces 3.
After the pressure pieces 3 are always aligned with respect to the jacket 1, the roller can also be used in a central arrangement, as shown in FIG. 9, in which the roller works against several counter rollers 19, 20, 21, 22 and accordingly in the circumferential direction of the roller consecutively, several rows of pressure pieces 3 has. A special feed line, namely feed line 610, 620, 621, 622, is provided for each row of pressure pieces 3. These feed lines can be acted upon with pressure medium of different pressure, so that the paper web 23 can be rolled progressively.
Since the surface of the pressure piece 3 facing the jacket 1, at least the surface of its edge zone 10, runs in the shape of a cylinder jacket, it is advantageous for starting up the roller if the circular cylinder-shaped servomotors having the pressure pieces are secured against rotation about the servomotor axis. This can be done advantageously by connecting two pressure pieces by means of rods loosely inserted into holes in the pressure pieces.
