Fig. 2 das Innere der Kontaktvorrichtung Steckdose bei abgenommenem Deckelteil.
The present invention relates to a contact device with a plurality of power take-off points which are arranged side by side in an insulating housing and are designed as sockets.
Electrical connectors are known in a wide variety of designs. For example, an electrical connector is known, consisting of a plurality of individual housings, in which the housings are arranged in a mounting frame. Each housing has a plurality of individual contact sockets, each of which is designed to receive a contact pin. The housing or the mounting frame of these known plug connections are made of rubber or polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
These known plug connections have various disadvantages. On the one hand, the production of the housing or the mounting frame from rubber or PVC is relatively expensive, so that the sales price of this consumer article is correspondingly high. On the other hand, these known plug connections consist of individual, per se independent sockets which are mechanically and electrically connected to one another. This type of combination of several sockets with one another is quite complex and makes the article more expensive.
The present invention now aims to create a contact device of the type described in the opening paragraph, which does not have the disadvantages of the known sockets.
For this purpose, the contact device according to the invention is characterized in that the insulating housing is made of nylon and has a housing base, to which conductor rails are attached, which electrically connect the current collection points to one another and at the same time are designed as receiving sockets for plug pins of plugs that can be inserted into the socket and that the housing base is closed with the aid of a cover part in which the guides are provided for plugs which can be inserted into the sockets.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. In the drawing show:
1 shows a perspective view of an embodiment of the contact device according to the invention and
Fig. 2 shows the interior of the socket contact device with the cover part removed.
In the figure 1, a contact device with four power take-off points is shown. The device has a
Lid part 10 made of nylon. The production of the Lideltei les made of nylon is cheaper than one made of rubber or PVC. The cover part 10 is designed as an elongated box with a rectangular cross section and has four adjacent power take-offs designed as sockets 11, 12, 13 and 14. These current collection points are designed as depressions in the housing cover and for
Intended for three-pole plugs. The cover part 10 with the recesses mentioned is Herge in a single operation in the compression or injection molding process.
At the bottom of each recess three holes 11 a, 11 b and 11 c are provided, which allow the passage of the three contact pins of three-pole plugs. Here, the holes 11 a and 11 b serve in a known manner for the
Passage of the positive and negative pole pin from the plug, while the hole 11 c is intended for receiving the Erdungspolstif tes. The design of the plug accommodate the housing cover part 10 corresponds to the security standards for such contact devices.
The power take-off point 11 is designed to receive a three-pole plug, into which both a plug with a grounding pole pin and a plug with a grounding pole sleeve can be inserted. In the first-mentioned case, the pin is inserted into the hole 11c, while in the second-mentioned case, a contact pin 1 1d attached to the housing base 15 and protruding from the tapping point 11 can come into operative connection with the earthing pole sleeve of a plug to be inserted (1 socket type 14).
The other three power take-off points 12, 13 and 14 are intended to accept plugs with an earthing pin (3 sockets type 13).
Power is supplied to the contact device by means of an electrical connection cable known per se, one end of which is firmly connected to the device and the other end of which has a plug which is used to connect to a supply source, for example a socket.
The cover part 10 has on its one shorter side 17 a recess (not shown) for the passage of the electrical cable, while a fastening eyelet 18 is provided on the broad side opposite this side. This fastening eyelet is used to hang up the multiple contact socket so that the individual power take-off points lie one below the other.
In Fig. 2, the bottom part 15 of the contact device is shown, which is also made of nylon. This bottom part has two reinforcing ribs 19, 20 and two guide pins 21, 22. Said guide pins serve to guide screws which come into operative connection from the underside of the cover part 10 and so
Can firmly connect the bottom and cover part.
In the vicinity of the two ends of the bottom part 15, three pins 23 are provided, each of which has a radial slot. These pins 23 serve to receive and fasten three conductor rails 25, 26 and 27, which are each arranged between two opposing pins 23 and are held in said slots of these pins. To laterally hold these three conductor rails 25, 26 and 27, a number of projecting pins 24 are provided on the bottom part 15, which are arranged in pairs, with one pin of the respective pair coming to rest on one side and the other of the conductor rails.
The power guide rails 25, 26 and 27 are made of brass and at the same time form receiving points for the individual contact pins of the plug. For this purpose, each rail has four semicircular bending points 28 which are aligned with the holes 11a, 11b and 11c of the cover part 10. Due to the inherent elasticity of the brass lamellae
Conductor rails, can be inserted into the socket
Plug with the help of their contact pins through the said
Bending points 28 are oriented and held.
The two outer power rails 25 and 27 form the positive and negative poles of the socket, while the middle power rail 26 forms the grounding conductor. For connec tion of the power guide rails with the electrical cable 16, known per se connected to the rails contact screws 29, 30, 31 are provided, in which the three supply conditions of the cable 16 are attached. These three feeds are also mechanically connected to the housing base 15 with the aid of a fastening clip 32.
The middle conductor rail 26 has a contact pin 11d, which is assigned to the current tapping point 11 and is used for the functional connection with a grounding sleeve of a plug that can be inserted into the tapping point 11.
The illustrated and explained contact device has various advantages over the multiple sockets belonging to the prior art. As already mentioned in the introduction to the description, the production of the device according to the invention is considerably simplified as a result of the arrangement of conductor rails, which at the same time serve as receiving points for the various contact pins of plugs. This simplification also enables the article to be manufactured at a relatively low cost. In addition, individual sockets that are independent per se are not connected to one another (prior art), but rather a single housing with several power take-off points designed as sockets is provided.
Finally, the device according to the invention is designed in such a way that it can be easily transported and can be used both as a horizontally lying and as a vertically suspended contact device.
In the illustrated embodiment, four power take-off points are provided. Of course, fewer or more such acceptance points could also be provided.
