**WARNUNG** Ende DESC Feld konnte Anfang CLMS uberlappen**.
It is described in British Patent Specification No. 1,052,625 that colored printing patterns which have been produced using sublimable dyes can be transferred from an auxiliary carrier onto anodically oxidized aluminum.
From French patents nos. 1,223,330 and
1,334,829 it is also known that this transfer printing method is suitable for dyeing synthetic material, in particular textile materials made of linear polyesters. The transfer printing method, also known as dry dyeing, according to which the dyes are applied to the dry material in vapor form, is known to produce no useful prints on natural materials such as wool and cotton. Furthermore, a careful selection of the dyes to be used is essential for the satisfactory smooth transfer of the prints made with sublimable dyes from the auxiliary carrier to the final material to be printed. This is because dyes have to be used that have very similar sublimation properties, otherwise the prints will only be blurred.
In Japanese laid-open publication No. 19632/66, a method is also described which is based on the transfer of a water-soluble film to the textile material to be printed. In contrast, according to the invention, only the dye is transferred. A large amount of water-soluble and relatively expensive auxiliary materials must therefore be washed out of the material printed according to this Japanese patent specification after printing, such as, for. B.
Polyvinyl alcohol or starch.
The new textile printing process is characterized in that cellulosic or keratinic textile materials, in particular wool or cotton, are wet on one side with an auxiliary carrier that is provided with colored patterns made of fiber-reactive dyes, and on the other side with at least 100 "C keeps the heated substrate in contact for 20 to 220 seconds and, after the dye has been transferred, subjects the printed textile material to a post-treatment operation.
As an auxiliary carrier is used in the present method, for. B. a thin metal foil, in particular a thin aluminum foil or, which is even more advantageous for economic reasons, a paper or cellophane film, or a paper tape. The dyes in the form of aqueous or organic-aqueous inks, if necessary for producing multicolored drawings or motifs, are applied to this carrier by the customary processes known in paper printing and dried. For the actual transfer printing, the thus printed auxiliary carrier is brought into contact with the wet textile materials to be printed and held at at least 100 ° C for 20 to 220 seconds; the drawings or motifs applied to the auxiliary carrier are transferred to the textile material to be dyed.
A short (20 to 100 seconds) heating to 105 to 1200 C under atmospheric pressure is usually sufficient. The transfer printing can be carried out continuously on a heated roller or by means of a heated plate (iron or hot press).
It is advantageous to choose an arrangement in which the wet material is heated from below, e.g. B. between two rollers arranged on top of one another, with only the lower roller being heated, or between a heated plate and a non-heated roller lying on it, which presses the printed auxiliary carrier onto the wet material.
As fiber-reactive dyes which can be used for printing the auxiliary carrier, there may be mentioned the water-soluble dyes which have methylolamide groups or removable substituents and which are chemically applied to cellulose textiles, i. H. can be fixed by forming covalent chemical bonds.
As fiber-reactive, d. H. Reactive groups capable of reacting with the hydroxyl groups of cellulose to form a covalent bond are to be mentioned the chloromaleylamino groups, the propiol grouping, mono- and dichlorocrotonylamino groups, bromine or chloroacrylamino groups, arylamino groups, vinylsulfone groups and, in particular, the groups containing a labile substituent electron pair, which easily carry along with them are splittable, e.g. B.
aliphatically bonded sulfuric acid or thiosulfuric acid ester groups and aliphatically bonded sulfonyl or sulfonyloxy groups or halogen atoms, in particular an aliphatically bonded chlorine atom. These labile substituents are expediently in the a or s position of an aliphatic radical which is bonded to the dye molecule via an aminocarbonyl or aminosulfonyl group; in the case of the dyes which contain halogen atoms as labile substituents, these exchangeable halogen atoms can also be used, for. B. are in an acetyl radical or in a- undss- position of a propionyl radical. Examples of such radicals are e.g. B. chlorine or a, ss-dichloro or dibromopropionylamino groups or a -chloroacetylamino groups.
However, the halogen atoms which can be split off are preferably located in a heterocyclic radical preferably containing 2 to 3 ring heteroatoms, in particular ring nitrogen atoms, e.g. B. in a phthalazine, pyridazine, pyridazone, quinoxaline, quinazoline, oxazole, thiazole, but especially in a pyrimidine or especially triazine ring, for. B. in a grouping of the formula

Such acylating agents are e.g. B. the anhydrides or chlorides of the acids corresponding to the abovementioned aliphatic acylamino radicals, e.g. B. acrylic acid, propiolic acid, chloromaleic acid, chloroacrylic acid, ass -dibromopropionic acid, ss -chloropropionic acid, etc., but especially the halides corresponding to the heterocyclic reactive radicals, d. but above all aromatic amines, such as aniline, N-methylaniline, toluidines, xylidines, chloranilines, p- or m-aminoacetanilide, nitranilines, aminophenols, nitrotoluidines, phenylenediamines, tolylenediamines, anisidine, phenetidine, diphenylamine, diaminonaphthylamine, especially aminonaphthylamine, and especially aminonaphthylamine anilines containing acidic groups, such as sulphanilic, metanilic and orthanilic acid, anilinedisulphonic acid, aminobenzylsulphonic acid, aniline, w-methanesulphonic acid, aminodibenzoic acid, naphthylamine mono-, di- and trisulphonic acids, aminobenzoic acids, such as 1- or 2-0xy-5- , Aminonaphthol mono-, di- and trisulfonic acids, aminobenzoic acid-sulfonic acid, etc., also colored compounds or compounds with dye character, eg.
B. 4-Nitro4'aminostilbene disulfonic acid and aminoazo dyes of the aminoanthraquinones or phthalocyanines which still contain at least one reactive amino group.
The introduction of the triazine radicals substituted in the 2-position by the radical of a hydroxyl, mercapto or amino compound or ammonia can also expediently take place in such a way that a halogen atom is added to the chlorotriazine dye produced by condensation by reaction with one or different of the above named connections replaced.
Furthermore, in the dyes prepared as indicated, which have an s-chloropropionyl, α, ß-dichloro or -dibromopropionyl radical, these can be converted into an unsaturated acyl radical, eg by splitting off hydrogen halide by means of alkaline agents, according to the invention. B. convert an acrylic, chlorine or bromoacrylic radical.
As already mentioned, the dyes, which can also contain a proportion of disperse dyes in order to dye mixtures with synthetic textile materials such as nylon and / or polyester, can be applied to the auxiliary carrier as indicated above and this can then be used for transfer printing.
The textile materials to be printed according to the present process can be in the form of woven, knitted or non-woven fabrics. Cotton fabrics or knitted fabrics or viscose textiles are particularly popular
Consideration. Keratin materials, such as silk and wool, generally do not require any special pre-treatment; Cellu loose-containing materials, such as cotton and viscose fibers, are advantageously provided with the amount of alkali necessary to fix the fiber-reactive dyestuffs and optionally a catalyst separately or together with the amount of water provided to achieve the wet state. The most convenient way to proceed is to remove the ones to be colored
Cellulose materials first impregnated with an alkaline solution (z. B. in an alkali bath or by Auffoular), the excess amount of the impregnation z. B.
removed by squeezing and the wet goods obtained in this way with the printed auxiliary carrier between two cylinders,
Rolls or plates, in particular metal plates, pressed, one of which is heated to at least 100 C.
After the auxiliary carrier has been removed, the printed vlaterialien can be subjected to damping or heat setting in a dry way for the purpose of better fixation of the dyes. Unfixed dye components and any auxiliaries can then be removed by subsequent washing.
The present transfer printing process also gives valuable prints on materials which are difficult to print by conventional direct printing methods, the fastness of which is on a par with those which are otherwise obtainable with fiber-reactive dyes.
In the following examples, unless otherwise stated, parts are parts by weight, percentages are percentages by weight, and temperatures are given in degrees Celsius. The relationship between part by weight and part by volume is the same as that between grams and milliliters.
example 1
The following printing inks are prepared for printing a red, an orange and a blue motif on a viscose fabric (viscose satin): red ink: trisodium salt of the dye of the formula
EMI3.1
blue ink: sodium salt of the dye of the formula
EMI3.2
orange ink: trisodium salt of the dye of the formula
EMI3.3
30 parts of dye are dissolved with 400 parts of 5% sodium alginate in 1000 parts of water, colored motifs are printed on a paper web with the resulting ink and the paper is dried in a stream of dry air at 100 ° C.
The printed paper is impregnated with a wet viscose fabric, which was previously impregnated with a solution of 100 parts of urea, 10 parts of sodium bicarbonate and 2 parts of 2.2.2 bicyclodiazaoctane in 888 parts of water and squeezed to 80% weight gain 60 seconds between a cold and a pressed to a metal plate heated to 105 "C. After the paper has been removed, the viscose fabric is steamed for 7 minutes at 100 to 103 ° C., washed, rinsed and dried to remove non-fixed dye components.
Really fixed colored drawings are thus obtained on the viscose fabric.
A similar result is obtained when using a cotton fabric.
Example 2
In the same way as in Example 1, colored motifs are obtained on cotton fabric using satined paper and inks made from the following dyes: yellow ink: tetrasodium salt of the dye of the formula
EMI4.1
scarlet ink: trisodium salt of the dye of the formula
EMI4.2
purple ink: trisodium salt of the dye of the formula
EMI4.3
Example 3
Using the paper printed according to Example 1, a wet woolen fabric which has been acidified with an aqueous, dilute acetic acid solution (30 parts of 40% CH3COOH in 1000 parts of water) is held at 100 ° C. for 1 minute between a heated and a cold metal plate.
After removing the paper, steaming is carried out for 15 minutes at 100 to 105 "C, rinsing cold and warm, cold aftertreatment with dilute ammonia solution (2 cm3 per liter) for 5 minutes, weakly acidified with dilute formic acid (1 cm3 / liter), rinsing and drying Real print samples are obtained.
Example 4
Colored motifs are printed on a paper film with solutions of 60 parts of one of the dyes mentioned in the preceding examples in 1000 parts of water and the paper is dried.
A cotton fabric is padded with the following mixture: 200 parts of urea, 160 parts of 5% sodium alginate thickener, 10 parts of sodium carbonate, 10 parts of nitrobenzenesulfonic acid, 1 part of 40% sodium hydroxide solution in 1000 parts of water. The wet cotton fabric is pressed onto a 140 "-C warm metal plate under the printed paper for 1 minute.
After removing the paper, the cotton is soaped, rinsed cold and warm and dried. In this way, colored print motifs are obtained that are really fixed.
It is possible to work continuously.
Example 5
Analogously to Example 1, the dyes C.I. Reactive Blue 66, C.I. Reactive Red 80 and C.I. reactive Yellow 52 used for transfer printing on wet cotton.
The prints were then heat-set for 1 minute at 1500 ° C. or steamed for 1 minute at 101 to 103 ° C., the thermally set prints exhibiting better color strength.
