The present invention relates to an axial compensator element for buried, in particular insulated, conduit, with a bellows arranged between a pipe part to be firmly anchored and a pipe part to be anchored in an axially slidable manner.
In order to accommodate displacements and / or thermal dilatations of underground long-distance lines, it is known to switch on bellows at intervals in the lines.
An accessible and watertight concrete shaft is to be created for each bellows, into which the two lines to be connected by the bellows are introduced from different, preferably opposite sides, and in which one end of the line is firmly anchored and the other end of the line is slidably supported. As a rule, thermal insulation of the compensator itself is not provided, and such thermal insulation is not possible for the fixation and guide bearings. This results in thermal losses from the heat transfer media in the pipes through direct heat conduction from the fixed point and guide irons into the shaft walls. The arrangement described is also expensive and its laying requires great care and expertise.
In practice, the following errors and malfunctions in particular have occurred repeatedly: mechanical damage due to dirt, missing or incorrect pretensioning of the bellows, faulty, in particular non-coaxial assembly of the cable ends in the fixation and guide and thus rapid wear of the bellows, stretching and consequent damage to the bellows as a result of water pressure tests carried out before the fixation was concreted.
According to the invention, these disadvantages are remedied in an axial compensator element of the type mentioned at the outset in a simple manner that the bellows is inserted into a protective tube and the bellows and the protective tube are attached to the fixed point anchor in an isolated manner, that an axially slidably guided tube part within the protective tube is connected to the bellows and a sliding seal is present between the protective tube and said tubular part, which is arranged in an isolated manner on the guide anchor for said tubular part.
Through the protective tube, which e.g. can be a steel pipe coated on the outside with plastic, such a compensator element is effectively protected from mechanical damage. If the fixation and guidance in the element are installed correctly in advance, in particular in a coaxially aligned manner, the compensator is inevitably always correctly loaded. The compensator element can be delivered individually preloaded to the installation point for each system. The fixation, bellows and sliding guide of the element can be easily insulated without leaving thermal bridges, and the entire element can just as easily be insulated against stray currents in the ground. There is no need to create a concrete shaft, the element can be delivered to the installation site ready for installation in one piece and sanded in after installation.
The single figure of the accompanying drawing shows in section an embodiment of an axial compensator element according to the invention.
The axial compensator element shown has a fixed point anchor 1 which is intended to be anchored in the ground to serve as a fixed point for an underground line.
On one side of this armature 1, a protective tube 3, preferably a plastic-coated steel tube, is attached with the aid of a flange 2, protruding at right angles.
A bellows 4 is arranged coaxially within this protective tube 3 and is likewise fastened to the fixed point anchor 1 on one side. At this end of the bellows 4 this is connected to a pipe part 5, which together with its thermal insulating jacket 6 penetrates an opening 7 of the fixed point anchor 1 and forms the pipe part to be firmly anchored. The other end of the bellows 4 is still connected within the protective tube 3 to a tube part 8, which forms the axially slidable tube part of the arrangement and is intended to be connected to the end of an underground pipe 9. The pipe part 8 carries, with the exception of the ends stripped for the purpose of connection to the line 9 or the bellows 4, also an insulating jacket 10, which is guided at least into the protective pipe.
A sliding seal 11 is arranged between the insulating jacket 10 of the pipe part 8 and the protective pipe 3. At the end of the protective tube 3 opposite the fixed point anchor 1, a stand is attached which serves as a guide anchor 12 and is intended to be cast together with the fixed point anchor 1 when laying the compensator element described in a concrete base in the ground.
For thermal insulation of the non-insulated parts of the element within the protective tube 3, namely the bellows 4 and the stripped end 13 of the slidably guided tube part 8, two sheaths made of insulating material are provided telescopically inside one another. The outer envelope 14 of these two envelopes encloses the bellows 4 and is attached to the inner wall of the protective tube 3 and / or to the anchor point 1. The inner shell 15 of these two shells sits on the end 13 of the tubular part 8 and takes part in its axial dilation movement.
The purpose of the bellows 4 is, as mentioned, to absorb relative movements between the tubular part 5 and the slidably guided tubular part 8. So that this bellows can not only compensate for movements of the pipe parts 5, 8 towards one another, but also away from one another, it must be prestressed before the expansion joint element is installed in an underground line.
For this purpose, one or more threaded rods 16 protrude from the protective tube 3 in the axial direction thereof and pass through the rotatable threaded sleeves 17 which are arranged in tabs 18 which are attached to the slidably guided tube part 8, e.g. are welded on. The pre-tensioning of the bellows generated by turning the threaded sleeve (s) 17 is retained until the installation of the compensator element has been completed. However, since it has to be removed for the expansion of the connection between the compensator element and the line 9 with foam, it is ensured that the preload is released before the element is sanded in. In other words, it is not possible to cover the compensator element with the bellows blocked, as is often the case with conventional arrangements.
