Fig. 5 einen Schnitt entlang der Linie V-V der Fig. 4.

In the claim of the main patent, a rotary switch with several working positions is defined, with a housing and a shaft protruding from the outside into the housing, on which a switch wheel is rotatably arranged on the outside of the housing and a raster disk in the interior of the housing, and with an immobile, in Interior of the housing attached switch plate provided with at least two contact springs, which contact springs interact with a coding disk attached to the raster disk, the open side of the housing being closed with a connection plate through which contact pins and a connection pin running parallel to the axis of rotation of the shaft pass through, wherein the connection plate and the switch plate are arranged perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the shaft.
Known rotary switches of this type have a plate provided with a scale and a rotary knob placed on the switch shaft with a pointer which points to the corresponding digit on the scale. The desired position of the switch can then be read from this setting of the rotary knob with the pointer.
The numbers on the scale of such a rotary switch are difficult to read from the normal distance of the operator and one must also pay close attention to which number the pointer of the rotary knob is pointing.
The invention is based on the object of eliminating these disadvantages and of creating a rotary switch in which the number showing a desired position of the switch always appears in one place and is clearly visible.
This is achieved in that the switch wheel is provided with digits, each of which corresponds to a specific position of the switch and that a recess or bulge is present in a cover plate arranged between a rotary knob and the switch wheel to allow the number to pass through the recess or bulge to make recognizable.
The subject of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings, for example. Show it:
1 shows a section of a switch wheel and a rotary knob placed on the switch shaft,
FIG. 2 shows a section along the line II-II in FIG. 1,
3 shows a plan view of a cover plate with the rotary knob,
Fig. 4 shows a section of another embodiment of the switch wheel, and
FIG. 5 shows a section along the line V-V in FIG. 4.
FIGS. 1 to 3 show a rotary knob which is placed non-rotatably on a common shaft 2 of a switch (not shown). On this shaft 2, a switch wheel 3 provided with numbers 9 and a ratchet disk 4 are also placed non-rotatably so that they rotate with the shaft 2.
Between the rotary knob 1 and the switch wheel 3, a cover plate 5 with a recess 6 is arranged, which is attached to the housing 7 of the switch.
When the shaft 2 is rotated by means of the rotary knob 1, a number 9 of the switch wheel 3 always comes under the recess 6, each number 9 corresponding to a desired position of the switch. In order to see this number 9 better, the recess 6 is provided with a magnifying glass 8. A Seger ring 26 is inserted between the switch wheel 3 and the cover plate 5 and between the switch wheel 3 and the housing 7.
The switch wheel 3 provided with numbers 9 can be latched under the recess 6 in any position of the numbers 9 by means of a leaf spring 10 which snaps into the ratchet disk 4. The leaf spring 10 forms a whole with the switch housing 7, its end resting freely on the raster disk 4.
Another embodiment is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. In this embodiment, the switch wheel 13 is fixedly arranged on a plate 25 which is connected to the housing 17. The fixed connection of the switch wheel 13 to the plate 25 is secured by a pin 20 of the switch wheel 13 which protrudes into a recess 21 in the plate 25.
The cover plate 15 with a bulge 18, which is located between the switch wheel 13 and the rotary knob 11, is placed non-rotatably on the shaft 12 so that it rotates with the shaft 12. A Seger ring 22 is inserted between the switch wheel 13 and the cover plate 15. The cover plate 15 with the bulge 18 can be locked in any position of the bulge 18 via the numbers 19 by means of the leaf spring 23, which snaps into the raster disk 14.
The bulge 18 of the cover plate 15 forms a magnifying glass, the underside of the cover plate 15 being printed in such a way that a viewing window 16 is only created in the case of the magnifying glass.
The leaf spring 23 is clamped at one end between a bolt 24 and the wall of the housing 17, the other end resting on the raster disk 14.
The rotary knob, the cover plate and the switch wheel are made of a plastic material, the plastic material at the point of the bulge being shaped in such a way that a magnifying glass effect is achieved.
