Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Gerät zur Stärkung und Entspannung der Muskulatur und Gelenke der Arme, das sowohl von Kindern wie Erwachsenen verwendet werden kann.
Das erfindungsgemässe Gerät ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es einen scheinbenförmigen Körper mit zwei nahe dem Zentrum liegenden Löchern aufweist, die von zwei Zugorganen durchsetzt sind, welche an zwei Handgriffen befestigt sind, um ein Rotieren des Körpers unter Drallbildung der Zugorgane in wechselndem Drehsinn zu ermöglichen.
In der Zeichnung ist eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstandes dargestellt, und zwar zeigt:
Fig. 1 eine schaubildliche Darstellung des Gerätes,
Fig. 2 einen Querschnitt durch die rotierbare Scheibe in grösserem Massstab,
Fig. 3 einen Längsschnitt durch den einen Handgriff, in grösserem Massstab,

Fig. 5-7 verschiedene Anwendungsbeispiele des Gerätes.
Als rotierbarer Körper dient beispielsweise eine flache Scheibe 1 aus Holz oder Kunststoff, die in zwei in gleichem Abstand voneinander und von einer zentralen Bohrung 2 diametral in bezug auf diese angeordneten Löcher 3 von einem doppelt geführten Zugorgan 4 durchsetzt wird. Die Scheibe 1 ist mit einer Umfangsrille 5 versehen, in welche ein elastischer Stossdämpfungsring 6 eingesetzt ist. Als Zugorgan 4 eignet sich besonders eine Nylon-Kordel. Diese verbindet die Scheibe 1 mit zwei in gleichen Abständen von dieser entfernten Handgriffen 7 und 8. Die Kordel 4 ist endlos in sich geschlossen. Die Handgriffe 7, 8 bestehen je aus einem Plastikrohr 9 und auf dessen Enden aufgeschobenen Abschlusskappen 10. Die Rohrstücke 9 sind in der Mitte ihrer Länge je mit einer Öffnung 11 versehen.
Durch diese Öffnung 11 ist bei einem Handgriff 7 das eine Schlaufe bildende Ende des Zugorganes 4 eingeführt und an einem im Hohlraum des Griffes 7 eingeschlossenen Stab 12 angeschlauft, wie dies in Fig.
3 ersichtlich ist. Durch die Öffnung 11 des andern Handgriffes 8 ist gemäss Fig. 4, das die Kordelenden 4' aufweisende Ende des Zugorganes 4 eingeführt und an einem im Hohlraum des Griffes 8 eingeschlossenen Stab 12 durch Anknüpfen mittels eines einfachen Knotens 13 befestigt.
Das Gerät wird mit beiden Händen an seinen Griffen gehalten, und zwecks Erzielung eines Dralles die Scheibe 1 gemäss den Pfeilen a in kreisendes Schleudern versetzt. Sofort nach der Bildung eines Dralles wird an den Griffen eine Zugwirkung ausgeübt, durch welche unter Auflösung des Dralles die Scheibe 1 im Sinne des Pfeiles b' in Drehung versetzt wird.
Im Moment der vollendeten Auflösung des Dralles besteht beim Nachlassen des Zuges durch Entspannen der Arme die lebendige Kraft in der Scheibe zur Weiterdrehung im gleichen Drehsinn, unter Bildung eines entgegengesetzten Dralles bis zum Stillstand der Scheibe. In diesem Moment wird mit den den Pfeilen b ausgeübt, so dass unter Auflösung des soeben gebildeten Dralles die Scheibe 1 entgegengesetzt zum Pfeil b' gedreht wird. Im Moment der vollendeten Auflösung des Dralles besteht beim Nachlassen des Zuges durch Entspannen der Arme die lebendige Kraft oder Wucht in der weiterdrehenden Scheibe unter Bildung des entgegengesetzten Dralles. Im Moment des Stillstandes der Scheibe kann wieder die Zugwirkung b mit den Armen ausgeübt werden, welche die Scheibe unter Auflösung des Dralles im Sinne des Pfeiles b' in Drehung versetzt.
In der beschriebenen Weise kann durch Spannung und Entspannen der Arme die Scheibe in hin und her gehende Drehung versetzt werden, wobei während der Bildung des Dralles das Zugorgan 4 verkürzt und während der Auflösung des Dralles das Zugorgan 4 verlängert wird. Dies entspricht einer dem Trainieren mit dem Expander angenähert gleich kommenden gymnastischen Übung.
Der Vorzug gegenüber dem Üben mit einem bekannten Gerät, dem Expander, besteht nun darin, dass für die Aufrechterhaltung der Funktion des Gerätes eine rhythmische, gleichmässige Betätigung beim Anspannen und Entspannen der Arme notwendig ist, und dass aus diesem Grund mit dieser Übung der Spieltrieb geweckt wird, der für eine solche unterhaltsame Betätigung zweifellos vorhanden ist. Dieser Umstand allein spornt zu ausgiebigem Trainieren an.
PATENTANSPRUCH
Gerät zur Stärkung und Entspannung der Muskulatur und Gelenke der Arme, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es einen scheibenförmigen Körper (1) mit zwei nahe dem Zentrum liegenden Löchern (3) aufweist, die von zwei Zugorganen (4) durchsetzt sind, welche an zwei Handgriffen (7, 8) befestigt sind, um ein Rotieren des Körpers (1) unter Drallbildung der Zugorgane (4) in wechselndem Drehsinn zu ermöglichen.
UNTERANSPRÜCHE
1. Gerät nach Patentanspruch, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die beiden Zugorgane (4) Kordeln sind und die zwei Löcher (3) gleichweit vom Scheibenzentrum einander gegen überliegen.
2. Gerät nach Patentanspruch und Unteranspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Scheibe (1) mit einer Umfangsrille (5) und einem in dieser lagernden, elastischen Stossdämpfungsring (6) versehen ist.
3. Gerät nach Patentanspruch, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Handgriffe (7, 8) Plastik-Rohrstücke (9) aufweisen und die beiden Enden der Zugorgane (4) je durch eine Öffnung der Rohrstücke eingeführt und an einem im Hohlraum des Rohrstückes liegenden Stab (12) befestigt sind.
4. Gerät nach Patentanspruch, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass auf die Enden der die Handgriffe (7, 8) bildenden Rohrstücke (9) Abschlusskappen (10) aufgeschoben sind.

A flat disc 1 made of wood or plastic, for example, serves as the rotatable body, through which two holes 3 arranged at the same distance from one another and a central bore 2 diametrically with respect to these holes 3 are penetrated by a double-guided pulling element 4. The disc 1 is provided with a circumferential groove 5 into which an elastic shock-absorbing ring 6 is inserted. A nylon cord is particularly suitable as the pulling element 4. In the manner described, by tensioning and releasing the arms, the disk can be set in reciprocating rotation, the pulling element 4 being shortened during the formation of the twist and the pulling element 4 being lengthened during the release of the twist. This corresponds to a gymnastic exercise that is approximately the same as training with the expander.
The advantage over practicing with a well-known device, the expander, is that in order to maintain the function of the device, a rhythmic, even actuation is necessary when tensing and relaxing the arms, and that for this reason the instinct to play is awakened with this exercise which is undoubtedly available for such an entertaining activity. This fact alone encourages extensive training.
