The present invention relates to a recovery filter for substances entrained in a vent line.
When charging and emptying batch tanks in manufacturing and test facilities, a certain amount of the processed material is whirled up and removed from the ventilation systems used.
The material discharged in this way can achieve great value.
It is the aim of the present invention to create a recovery filter for entrained substances that can be used as a primary separator in ventilation systems, that offers relatively low suction resistance and can be cleaned with simple steps, whereby the substances precipitated in the filter can get back into the boiler by themselves.
The recovery filter according to the invention has an inlet stub that can be connected in the vertical direction as an extension to a vertically guided supply line and is characterized in that the inlet stub is connected to a hollow cylindrical housing, the center line of which is directed obliquely upwards and the upper end of which is covered by an openable lid, being central a hollow cylindrical metal protective grille is arranged inside the housing and a jacket made of filter material is arranged around the grille, and an annular cylinder space is left between the filter material and the housing wall and is directly connected to the outlet connection.
In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the recovery filter is illustrated partially in section.
A penetration body 2 adjoins the vertically arranged inlet connector 1 of the filter, which is formed by the extension 3 of the connector 1 and a circular cylindrical connector 4 of the filter housing, the center line of which runs obliquely to the vertical.
A main cylinder 5 of the filter housing, which is closed at the free end by an openable cover 6, is attached to the connection piece 4 with a larger diameter and the same center line.
In straight alignment with the inlet connector 1, an outlet connector 7 is provided, which, however, is seated on the jacket 8 of the master cylinder 5.
In the main cylinder 5, a hollow cylindrical metal protective grille 9 is provided in the center, the lower end of which extends into the connecting piece 4 to fit. To the extent that it lies in the main cylinder, a jacket 10 made of filter material 11 is arranged around the grid, which is held in place around the grid with two adhesive strips 12 as shown in the drawing. The grid and filter jacket can be inserted as a whole into the main cylinder, the lower end of the grid used being held by the connection piece. A seal in the form of an O-ring 13 is inserted between the grille and the filter jacket on the one hand and the transition from the connection piece to the bottom of the main cylinder on the other. An annular cylinder space 14 is formed between the circumference of the jacket made of filter material and the inner wall of the main cylinder and is in direct communication with the outlet connection.
The interior 15 of the inlet port 1 is connected directly to the interior of the metal protective grille 9 via the interior 16 of the connector 4, from where the air under the
Effect of the negative pressure in the ventilation system via the openings 17 in the protective grille and through the filter material
11 enters the cylinder chamber 14 and thus into the outlet connection of the filter. In order to maintain the negative pressure in the Zylin derraum 14, a sealing washer 18 is used between the cover 6 on the one hand and the wall of the master cylinder and the jacket of filter material and the metal grille at the upper end on the other hand.
The substances carried along in the extracted air are deposited on the inner wall of the metal protective grille or on the filter material. To clean the grille and filter material, it is sufficient to open the cover of the main cylinder and stroke the surface of the protective grille and filter material jacket that is accessible in the protective grille, so that the precipitated substances are stripped off and fall back into the preparation tank via the inlet connection and the vertical supply pipe.
Since the passages through the filter material described are wide and wider than the ventilation pipes, the resistance of the filter to pass through is low and only depends on the resistance when the air passes through the filter material, the transition area of which is selected to be extremely large.
The housing of the recovery filter can be made of plastic or stainless steel. The metal protective grille can be made from a hollow cylinder made of stainless steel or brass with passage openings or from a wire mesh made of copper or iron wire. The filter material can be: cloth. Linen, plastic, plastic cloth with metal wire inlay, fine wire mesh or the like.
