The construction of partition walls from building blocks, in particular from brick, hollow blocks or other shaped blocks, is still largely carried out today using the individual laying method, in which the bricklayer lays the horizontal rows of blocks stacked one on top of the other brick by brick. The control of the plumb line, leveling and direction of the resulting masonry is carried out by eye and at time intervals with a sinker and plumb line, whereby any errors that have occurred since the last control are attempted during further work. In the production of partition walls between existing ceilings and floors, an aggravating factor is that in the vicinity of the ceiling the masonry can only be checked from one side, namely the side from which the masonry is being laid.
Auxiliary devices are already known which give the bricklayer clues for the correct positioning of each laid stone and thereby simplify and facilitate his work. A known auxiliary device of this type consists of at least two vertically erectable rods, which have means for receiving and guiding a guide line at regular intervals, matched to the height of the rows of blocks, which are placed one after the other in the same level means of the rods between them as a guide for the direction and edge height successively laid rows of blocks is used.
In contrast, the auxiliary device according to the invention for creating vertical partitions from building blocks is characterized in that it consists of a vertical frame to be firmly braced between floor and ceiling, the upper horizontal leg of which has a slide rail at which a rear stop for the to be laid blocks serving square can be suspended vertically, the lower horizontal leg of the frame forming a stop for this square.
Such a device enables the bricklayer to work even faster and at the same time more precisely than the known device mentioned, since the stones can always be placed against a fixed stop. Another advantage resulting from this arises from the more precise construction in the sequence when plastering the created wall, where errors in the laying of the building blocks have to be concealed.
The single figure of the accompanying drawing shows, partially schematically, an exemplary embodiment of an auxiliary device according to the invention.
A building block wall to be constructed between a floor slab 1 and a ceiling 7 in the example shown, a part of which is shown as constructed and denoted by 3, is a building to be constructed.
The auxiliary device, which allows this intermediate wall to be created quickly and precisely, comprises a frame consisting of a square 4 laid on the floor over the length of the intermediate wall 3 to be created, an angular profile 6 running parallel to and perpendicularly above the ceiling 2. which is held in position by two slats 7 braced between it and the square 4, only one of which is shown.
Triangular plates 8, each provided with a hole and fastened to the angle profile 6, carry a rod 9.
A, preferably several square irons 10 hang from this rod 9. For this purpose, each square 10 is provided with a suspension element 11 at its upper end. The length of the square 10 is dimensioned such that, in the suspended position, it protrudes into the area of the square 4 laid on the floor 1.
The auxiliary device described is used as follows:
The square 4 is laid in such a way that, on the floor 1, set back by the thickness of the square 10, it follows the line along which the rear edge of the building blocks, seen from the working side, is to be laid. By means of the slats 7, the angle profile 6 forming the upper horizontal leg of the frame is then braced on the ceiling 2 in such a way that its surface 13 protruding downward from the ceiling 2 is flush with the rear surface of the intermediate wall 3 to be created one or more square edges 10 are hung on the rod 9 via the suspension element 11 and placed against the surface 5 of the square element 4.
The position of the rod 9 and the shape of the suspension element 11 are selected so that the surfaces of the square 10 facing the masonry to be created run absolutely perpendicular and are flush with the surface 12 of the angle profile 6.
Now the laying of the building blocks can be started, the building blocks being brought up to the stop on the square 10. In the course of the masonry, the square 10 can be moved unless it is preferred to hang such a number of square 10 on the rod 9 so that all the stones can be moved without moving the square 10 serving as a stop.
In the uppermost area of the partition wall, where precise laying was particularly careful according to the previous methods, every stone can be brought to the vertical, as in the lower area, and in the last area then to the surface 12 of the angle profile 6.
After creating an intermediate wall, the auxiliary device can be dismantled from the opposite side of the wall in a few simple steps and transported to the next job.
