Fig. 2 einen Einströmring des Ventilatorrades nach Fig. 1 in Ansicht,
Fig. 4 zeigt il s Schnitt einen solchen Einströmring.
The main patent relates to a radial fan wheel with a hub disk, the wheel rim of which carries a number of blades parallel to the hub disk axis, the hub disk being designed as a hollow body at least in the area of the wheel rim and the blades being inserted and protruding through the hub disk in openings located in the end walls of the hub disk are firmly connected to the end walls.
The invention relates to the embodiment of the main patent in which an inflow ring is placed on the suction side of the fan wheel on the ends of the blades, the inflow ring having openings for receiving the blade ends and the blade ends being connected to the inflow ring by adhesive points.
In the embodiments described in the main patent, the inflow ring consists of a shaped body made of sheet metal or plastic, which contains openings for receiving the blade ends. The connection of the inflow ring and the blades is done by gluing z. B. with epoxy resin. So that the ends of the blades protruding from the inflow ring do not cause any disturbing noises when the fan wheel is rotating, a sheet metal ring is provided which, together with the inflow ring, completely surrounds the free blade ends.
Because of the simple shape, such inflow rings can be made of plastic without difficulty and relatively cheaply. In the case of fans of greater power with high-speed fan wheels, inflow rings made of sheet metal must be used, since plastic does not sufficiently withstand the considerable centrifugal forces occurring at the blade ends and damage to the inflow ring would occur. It has been shown that the manufacture of the sheet metal inflow rings is quite expensive, especially for aerodynamically profiled blades.
In addition, the installation of the inflow rings and the cladding sheet metal rings as well as their attachment to the blade ends is cumbersome and time-consuming in the previous designs, so that in general the cost share attributable to the end rings is too high for the radial fan wheel according to the main patent.
The invention is based on the object of improving the inflow ring for radial fan wheels according to the main patent so that it can be used on wheels for fans of any power, its manufacturing costs are lower and, moreover, less time is required for assembly.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the inflow ring has a sheet metal ring with openings for the blade ends arranged in a flat ring area and a plastic profile ring with a convexly arched ring surface extending from the inner edge of a ring end face to the edge of a lateral surface and with the openings in the Sheet metal ring contains aligned recesses and the plastic profile ring are connected to the sheet metal ring to form a composite body, in which the sheet metal ring absorbs the centrifugal forces occurring on the blades and the curved ring surface of the plastic profile ring forms the guide surface of the inflow ring.
The production of a sheet metal ring, in which the openings for the blade ends, which usually have an aerodynamic profile, in a flat ring area z. B. be punched and this ring area is not subjected to any further deformation, is easier and with less effort with greater accuracy than that of the curved sheet metal ring described in the main patent. Only a short time is required for the assembly of the inflow ring designed as a composite body, since the inflow ring only has to be placed on the blade ends and the blade ends have to be glued into the plastic profile ring.
In the case of the inflow ring, the sheet metal ring can lie within the plastic profile ring, the plastic profile ring having a closed ring end face by which the blade ends are covered.
For an even simpler production of the inflow ring, the sheet metal ring can have a flat bottom part with the openings for the blade ends and a circumferential outer jacket and the plastic profile ring can be cast with its jacket surface onto the inner outer jacket surface and with its ring end face onto the bottom part of the sheet metal ring . Here, the sheet metal ring can simultaneously serve as part of the mold for the plastic profile ring. To cover the ends of the blades protruding from the openings in the bottom part, the sheet metal ring can have a double bottom part, with only the inner bottom part containing the openings for the blade ends and the outer bottom part representing a stop for the blades to be used and covering the blade ends.
In such a design of the inflow ring, the sheet metal ring can preferably consist of an inner ring and an outer ring that fits on it, each of which has a flat bottom part, an outer jacket and an edge protruding from the inner edge of the bottom part, the outer jacket when the inner and outer ring are joined together and the edges are close together and the two bottom parts are spaced apart. To reduce weight, the plastic profile ring can also be designed as a hollow ring.
Exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the drawing. Show it:
1 shows in section a two-sided radial fan with a fan wheel according to the main patent, on the blade ends of which inflow rings according to the invention are placed,
FIG. 2 shows an inflow ring of the fan wheel according to FIG. 1 in view,
3 shows the cross section of an inflow ring in which a flat sheet metal ring is arranged in a solid plastic profile ring and
4 shows the cross section of an inflow ring with a plastic profile ring designed as a hollow ring, into which a flat sheet metal ring is cast.
In the double-sided radial fan shown schematically in section in FIG. 1, the fan wheel consists of a hub disk 1 designed as a hollow body, which is fastened to the shaft 3 by means of the hub 2, and a number of aerodynamically profiled blades 16 which are inserted into the hub disk 1 are used. A guide cone 22 is pushed onto the shaft 3 on each side of the hub disk 1. The manufacture of such a fan wheel is described in detail in the main patent. Furthermore, an inflow ring 20 is placed on the ends of the blades 16 on each wheel side. The fan wheel is located in a substantially cylindrical fan housing 33, which has an inflow opening lined with an inflow guide plate 34 on each of its two end faces.
The two A flow rings 20 placed on the blade ends 16a are plastic-metal composite bodies, in which a sheet metal ring and a plastic profile ring 28 are connected to each other. The sheet metal ring has the task of absorbing the centrifugal forces occurring at the blade ends 16a when the fan wheel is rotating and to give the wheel the necessary stability and a convexly curved ring surface 30 is formed on the plastic profile ring 28, which when the inflow ring 20 is placed in the guide surface of the Inflow baffle 34 passes over, as shown in FIG. 1. A preferred embodiment of such an inflow ring 20 is shown in section in FIG. 1 and in view in FIG. 2, a piece of the plastic profile ring being omitted in the plan view of FIG. 2 in order to show the sheet metal ring below.
In this embodiment, the sheet metal ring consists of an inner ring 25a. . . 25c and an outer ring 26a. . . 26c. The inner ring has a flat bottom part 25b in which openings 27 (FIG. 2) for the aerodynamically profiled blades 16 are punched, a cylindrical outer casing 25b on one side of the bottom part and an edge 25c protruding from its inner edge on the other side of the bottom part . The outer ring also has a flat bottom part 26b, but without openings, an outer jacket 26a and an edge 26c and is dimensioned in such a way that it can be pushed onto the inner ring, with the two outer jackets 25a, 26a and the two edges 25c,
26c lie close to one another and the two base parts 25b, 26b have a certain distance from one another and form a double base. Such sheet metal rings can easily be produced by deep drawing. The outer jackets 25a, 26a and the edges 25c, 26c are connected to one another by gluing or spot welding. The plastic profile ring 28 is expediently cast onto the outer jacket 25a and the bottom part 25b of the inner ring in such a way that its curved ring surface 30 is flush with the edge of the outer jacket 25a, 26a of the sheet metal ring and merges smoothly into the inner surface of the inner ring rim 25c.
To insert the blade ends 16a, the plastic profile ring 28 is provided with correspondingly shaped recesses 32 which extend from the arched ring surface 30 to the openings 27 in the bottom part 25b of the sheet metal ring. During assembly, the blade ends 16a are inserted into the recesses 32 and the inflow ring 20 pushed on until the blade ends abut the bottom part 26b of the sheet metal ring. The ends of the blades 16 are completely covered by the inflow ring 20, so that a smooth running of the fan wheel is guaranteed. To further reduce noise, the sheet metal ring is covered with a plastic layer.
Inflow rings of the type described above are ideally suited for high-performance fans, since the sheet metal ring is inherently very stable and the plastic profile ring is supported on the double outer casing 25a, 26a.
3 shows in section as a further exemplary embodiment an inflow ring 20 in which a flat, disk-shaped sheet metal ring 24, in which openings 27 for the blade ends 16a are punched, is cast into a solid plastic profile ring 28. The plastic profile ring 28 has a flat end face 29, a cylindrical jacket surface 31 and a convexly curved ring surface 31 which extends from the edge of the jacket surface 31 to the inner edge of the front surface 29 and which forms the guide surface of the inflow ring. In the plastic profile ring 28, the sheet metal ring 24 is aligned parallel to the end face 29.
The recesses 32 provided in the plastic profile ring 28 for receiving the blade ends 16a extend from the arched ring surface 30 to the openings 27 in the sheet metal ring 24 and slightly beyond, but not to the end face 29, so that each recess 32 is closed by a wall against which the end of the blade used abuts. Here, too, the ends of the blades 16 are completely covered by the inflow ring 20. The sheet metal ring 24 can of course also have bent edges.
Solid plastic profile rings can be used for large fan wheels. be too heavy. To reduce weight, the plastic profile ring, in particular in the case of an inflow ring design according to FIG. 3 with an internal sheet metal ring, can also be designed as a hollow ring. 4 shows a section of such an inflow ring. The plastic profile ring 28 is a hollow body with a flat, closed end wall 29, a cylindrical jacket wall 31 'and a convexly curved wall 30', the outer surface of which forms the guide surface of the inflow ring. The inner sheet metal ring 24 has a certain distance from the end wall 29. In this embodiment, the recesses 32 for the blade ends 16 a are only located in the arched ring wall 32 and are aligned with the openings 27 in the sheet metal ring 24.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the plastic profile ring can also be designed as a hollow body to reduce weight. Since the plastic profile ring in this embodiment is not load-bearing and does not need to absorb any forces, the ring can also contain a plastic foam core, with only the wall forming the curved ring surface having to be tight and smooth. Such plastic rings are easy to manufacture.
