Fig. 3 einen Schnitt durch die Motorlagerachse.

The present invention relates to a device for actuating a fine adjustment button on a microscope by means of an electric motor. When counting leukocytes based on the percentage distribution of their subspecies, the smear consists of a small amount of leukocytes suspended in oil immersion. Since the oil immersion has a certain thickness, the freely moving particles in it have different distances from the objective lens, so that constant readjustment of the focus is necessary. During the counting, one hand of the operator is standing on the screw for the cross table adjustment, while the other hand operates the electrical counting device.
In order to avoid that the observing person has to constantly switch with one hand from the buttons of the counter to the fine adjustment screw and vice versa, which is tiring and can lead to incorrect inputs, a remote control for the fine adjustment screw on the microscope may have been provided flexible shaft or a cardan shaft and ends in the hand area of the keyboard in an adjusting knob.
In this embodiment, one hand of the operator can constantly remain on the keyboard of the counter and operate the fine adjustment of the microscope with his thumb. However, it has been found to be a disadvantage. that a flexible shaft is not sufficiently torsion-resistant, which has the consequence that the fine adjustment screw lags due to the torsional elasticity, i.e. the fine adjustment screw is turned even further when the adjustment knob is already tight on the keyboard. Naturally, this makes precise focusing considerably more difficult.
Cardan shafts do not have this disadvantage, but they require a very specific position of microscope and counting device in relation to one another and tend to jam at large angles. Then a device is known in which a gear driven by an electric motor is clamped directly on the fine adjustment knob and the torque is transmitted through friction wheels. This system has the advantage. that no fixed position of microscope and counting device is required. since the device is only connected to the counting device by a flexible cable. Then the instantaneous stop of the motor when the desired collar is reached is ensured by the circuit provided.
However, the device tends to do so. that the friction wheels run off the fine adjustment knob if the same direction of rotation is maintained over a longer period of time.
According to the invention, the above disadvantages of the known devices are avoided by a housing with an electric motor built into it and a driver head which, on the one hand, is prevented by retaining means firmly with the fine adjustment knob, and, on the other hand, can be connected with its shaft to a connecting element that can be lined up by the electric motor and can be fixed to this by locking elements.
The gear can thus be removed from the microscope by simply pulling it off the driver head, which remains on the fine adjustment knob. A coupling can be provided that allows the frictional connection between the driver head and the geared motor to be interrupted so that the fine adjustment knob can be rotated so that the entire gear mechanism does not have to be removed from the microscope when a new blood count is applied of the coarse drive can rotate freely. The driver head can be selected according to the respective diameter of the fine adjustment knob; it is the only part that has to be adjusted according to the fine adjustment knob for the various microscope types.
An embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown in the drawing. It shows:
Fig. I is a front view. t: ig 2 a section in the plan.
3 shows a section through the motor bearing axis.
An electric motor 1 drives a socket 4 via a pinion 2 and its mating gear 3 which receives the driver head 5.
The shaft of the driver head 5 has at its rear end a running circumferential notch into which the locking balls 6 snap and thus hold the driver head 5 in place. The locking balls (5 are pretensioned by a ring-shaped leaf spring 7. The rotary movement of the bush 4 is transmitted to the driver head 5 by the driver pin 5. The pin sits in the shaft of the driver head 5 and engages in a groove in the bush 4.
The fine adjustment knob of a microscope is inserted into the driver head at 9 and fixed with the grub screws provided.
So that the device does not have to be removed when the coarse drive of a microscope is operated. a clutch is provided that works as follows
The electric motor I is fastened in a slot carrier 1 () which is rotatably mounted on the axis II. The spring 17 attached to the motor mount 10 causes the pinion 2 of the nlottir I to be pressed against its gear 3.
By turning the knob 13 by a quarter, which is attached to the axis 14 which is flattened in the area of the motor support (1), the motor support 10 is pushed away sideways and the pinion 2 is lifted off the mating gear 3. The front part of the device with bookscrew 4 and driver head 5 can now rotate freely.
By turning back the button 13, the wheels 2 and 3 are brought back into engagement with one another. The engine mount
10 is bearing-free from the chassis 16 and | Hood 17 separated.
The device is secured against rotation by two stud bolts IX, which are inserted through corresponding holes 19 9 in the device, and fixed at the desired height. The bolts 15 are screwed into the foot 20, which is placed on the table.
